Beach Vacation Cottage

Welcome to our lovely 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom cottage just steps away from Long Sands Beach! Master bedroom has its' own master bath and lots of space to hang your belongings. The second bedroom offers bunk beds. The second bedroom offers a bunk bed and there is an air mattress available for additional sleeping space.

Enjoy the sunny open layout of the kitchen and living area before you take a short 0.2 mile walk down to Long Sands Beach! We have beach chairs at the house, linens, bath towels and kitchen basics. You may bring your own beach towels for your stay, and we have a washer and dryer available for your use.

Grill outside and enjoy sitting on the deck with family and friends. Yard space in the front is great for games and relaxing.

For your convenience, we offer garage parking for 1 car and the driveway will accommodate 2 cars comfortably.

R and R weekend

My daughters and I spent a relaxing weekend at this lovely, cozy, well equipped home a short walk to Long Sands and an easy drive to local restaurants and shops. We loved the beachy decor and having coffee on the deck in the morning!

Fantastic location!

We had a great week. The house was perfect for our family of 4. We enjoyed the amenities the house had to offer. My kids especially enjoyed the games. The house is a very short walk to long sands and is on a dead end street so it was nice and quiet. The only thing it was missing was an outdoor dining table.

Great Spot

This is the 4th time we have stayed at this rental and we would gladly return. The house is less than a 5 minute walk to Long Sands Beach. There are beach chairs and beach toys in the garage for families with younger children. The property is very clean and comfortable. The property is very cozy and is perfect for our family of four. Thank you for another great year.

Location and value is great. Space is unpolished.

You cannot beat the location and value of this property. We have two small kids and you could truly walk to the beach with them from this house. It is the perfect size for a small family. The basic amenities of the house were kept up and clean but the overall house could use a deep clean. Additionally there were a lot of personal items scattered throughout the house that could have been set aside for a more hospitable feel.

Great Nostalgic Cottage

This was a cozy cottage perfectly placed so close to Long Sands beach. It was nestled in a quiet residential area but a quick (less than) 5 minute walk to Long Sands. Loads of beach equipment was provided including chairs and a buggy to get you to the beach effortlessly. We loved being able to use the garage. The furniture is a little updated from the pictures and is cozy and comfy. Everything was very clean when we arrived. We loved sitting on the porch and enjoying the stillness; we even spotted a deer walking into the woods nearby. This was a great spot to stay in York. It was extra special as it was next to the cottage my grandparents used to own. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

Great Location

We had a great time! The house is in a great location, a very short walk to the life guard tower at Long Sands. The house was clean and nicely decorated with beach related themes. The bathrooms are good size and the home is updated nicely. The house says it sleeps 6. There are twin bunk beds and a queen size bed. The owner also provide a mattress as another bed. However, the couch itself is very small, not a pullout couch-more of a small futon. Only a small child could sleep on the couch and it would be difficult for an adult to sleep comfortably on the couch. Also, a living room chair was broken prior to our arrival and place in the garage and we were unable to use it. There was minimal seating in the living room, especially for the adults. We had guests for a day and it was difficult for folks to sit comfortably in the living room-most of the adults had to sit on the kitchen stools or on an ottoman. There is no cable TV-only Netflix. The homeowner was very accommodating and check in and check out were easy.

Wonderful time with our family at this beautiful, cozy, and clean home.

Literally a less than 5 minute walk to Long Sands. The home has all you need!. We had 4 adults and a 2yr old and we had plenty of space. Having 2 full baths is amazing. The host Lauren was wonderful when we needed her to respond to us. We are hoping to make this a yearly stay!

Great Vacation

This is our third year staying at this home. We love the location as it is less than 5 minutes to Long Sands Beach. The house has everything you need and is very clean and comfortable. The owner is responsive. We had another great trip and look forward to next year.

Great cottage for family vacation

Cottage was a perfect stay for our family with 2 toddlers. Everything was clean and well kept and afforded us plenty of room to relax and play. Beach is just a few minute walk. Area is very quiet. Planning to stay again in 2021.

Nice walk to beach!

The house is the cutest and is kept up very nicely. The walk to the beach was about 5 minutes. It was nice to have the garage space to store the beach gear and to leave the car in. The inside of the house is decorated so nicely, but we did wish there were blackout curtains in the bedroom window because it is easy to see through. Overall, we would stay here again and thought it was a great family place!

Great Vacation

We had a great vacation. This is the second year we rented this property and we love it. The house is a 3 minute walk to the beach and you cannot beat the location. The house is very clean and comfortable.

Awesome property

Our family of four had a great visit. Lauren, the owner, was fabulous about communication. Her home was spotless. It had all the comforts of home and was beautifully updated. She thought of everything to make sure the stay was relaxing.

Summer getaway

Loved the location and the size of the house. Everything was clean and it was nice having linens/towels provided. Be warned there is no A/C and the windows in the master have no blinds. Your neighbors will get an eyeful if you keep the curtains open, but you need it open to get air flow! Owner was great, kept in contact and was very attentive. Would definitely book here again!

Perfect First Experience!

Cannot say enough about the owner!! What a super person, her communication with us was amazing. There was such flexibility at check in and check out. The house was spotless and in a great quiet neighborhood. We walked to the beach after dark in just minutes. We ate the best lobster rolls at the neighborhood grocery. Shopping in the near by town was so much fun. This IS the town for deals on lobster! Thank you for such a perfect first experience at a homeaway!

Idyllic York Beach rental!

Idyllic York Beach rental. Great for young families. I have two young children, and it was very baby friendly; no sharp corners, no stairs, all outlets have child protectors. Short walk to Long Sands. I probably shouldn’t recommend this…. but we had friends stay at the sea latch motel (literally across the street) and we cut through their parking lot, you can see the ocean, and are at the beach in minutes without taking the main road – so for your rebels out there – no one seemed to notice or care. Cottage is well stocked, plenty of towels, super clean linens. Everything is shiny and new. Well located, dead end street, quiet neighbors. The owner was very pleasant to communicate with, she always got back to me right away. We will definitely be renting there next year. Also, just a tip for families with baby’s…. there is a few baby gear rental places in the York area, so you don’t have to schlep the pack-n-plays, high chairs, etc, etc.…they drop off/pick up, easy peasy….. it really made our life much easier when packing the car! :)

My husband and I adore York Maine. As a kid my he spent time here with his family and has introduced its' charm to the rest of our family. We look forward to making many memories here and hope to share our place with other families and new friends to help them create their own fun memories!

We fell in love with this adorable home, with it's front deck and the smell of the ocean nearby. The home gets a lot of nice sunlight and felt like a family could have a lot of fun here.
