Beautiful vacation home with ocean views nestled in the jungle with a pool

We have a king size master bedroom with walk in closet and double sinks. This room has fabulous views of the ocean from the balcony. The second bedroom is a queen size bed and it's own bathroom with a balcony and large window with breathtaking ocean views. There is a spare room with a 3rd queen size bed. We have a full kitchen with filtered drinking water, microwave, stove/oven, coffee maker, blender and cooking pots and pans and a refrigerator with an ice maker. The pool and patio living area is surrounded by grass and closed in yard that is outlined by lush shrubs. There is a fountain that runs in the pool to offer a tranquil water sound. The back yard has a bbq. You can hear the ocean from the house but removed from all the noise from town. Very comfortable home with excellent caretakers. There are boogie boards for you to use at the beach and beach towels. We have and outdoor shower for you to rinse off when you come from the beach and before entering the house. There is an outdoor spigot for you near the pool if you need to rinse feet before entering the pool.

A very comfortable stay. The rooms have an amazing view and the amenities were great, my 3 kids enjoy the pool wich is a good size for a family of 5.I'll definitely stay here again when I get back next year.

Splendid Stay

Because of the layout and two suites, this is an excellent house for two couples. The pool is a bonus and Chacala is a great little town.

Good Location

Chacala was a nice chill town with a great swimming beach. House is an easy walk to the beach. We were going to rent a golf cart but decided we didn't need it. Owners were very communicative when needed.

Nice stay in Chacala

We had a nice stay in Chacala with our kids - the beach was nice but very busy for the week of new year. Having the pool at the house was ideal and it is a very nice space. The owner was very responsive when one of the AC units stopped working and when we had other questions.

What a beautiful home! It had everything we needed for our stay. Eliezer was so friendly and such a great help. We had an amazing time in Chacala and we will definitely be back!

Great place!

This apartment was perfect for a weekend getaway for 2! It was very clean and quiet. We really enjoyed the ability to walk to dinner at Cunnetto’s! We also walked to the Italian grocery store in the morning, which was another great experience!

Vacation in mexican paradise, for those who actually want to vacation in Mexico.

This property was fabulous. It is a beautiful home nestled in a lovely mexican seaside village. You would be happy to never leave the property if you just wanted time to unwind and relax poolside, with its beautiful view and amazing climate. However the town was also enjoyable, with mexican beach restaurants lining the wonderful swimming beach. IF you are looking for an authentic mexican vacation this is the spot to do it while still enjoying all the amenities of your private poolside oasis to retreat to.

The host was in communication with me prior to arrival, and tried despite my lack of cell service to help us find the rental when we could not. The directions were not that great, but we eventually did find it and let ourselves in with the code.The kitchen needed a deep clean as there were insect/and/or rodent droppings inside the cupboards where the dishes and pots were kept and a pile of dirt in the silverware drawer, so we had to wash everything before using it. There was leftover pizza takeout and other used food items in the fridge. The cupboard of non perishable food was full and everything was expired. There was no large water jug for drinking water, so we had to bring our own.The bathroom shower shelf was completely full of used shampoo bottles and a used bar of soap, and someone's old luffa, so we had to move them in order to make room for our items.The master bedroom was not cleaned well, the night stands were full of cobwebs, someone's old snore strip, the sheets were full of holes, there was no mattress cover, and the comforter cover was disgusting and hadn't been washed before our stay.The front door needs to be fixed and the lock didn't lock unless you fiddled with it.There were not enough bath and beach towels for all the guests and the bathrooms were lacking hand towels.The mini split units were very dirty and made us feel unwell until they were cleaned.

Castle on a hill!

We had an absolutely amazing time. The house was even better in person than in the pictures! Huge, grand, clean, with a wonderful view from most places in the house. The pool was refreshing and wonderful and the kitchen was adequately stocked for our needs. It is close the the main town where we could pick up food stuff/eat at restaurants/street food/beach, but far up enough to hear nothing but the ocean when we are home. There was even a massage therapist who came to the house upon request at a very reasonable rate and we had a fantastic experience with her. The Wrights were really responsive to our needs while we were in the house, as were the local team who came to look after/clean the house. Chacala itself was perfect for what we were looking for - filled with local tourists, full of life and activity, but not overtly developed so you still feel like you are in Mexico, not some generic resort area. It was simply a perfect, wonderful stay.

Beautiful house in an unspoiled village

The house is spacious, charming, well-designed and -equipped. The small, walled yard with pool is a private oasis. The view of the sea from the upstairs bedroom is as advertised. We loved Chacala, but it’s not for everyone. When we were there, nearly 100% of the tourists were Mexican families, kind and friendly. The village infrastructure is simple. The restaurant food, in general, is simple. Sometimes the internet fails, or the electricity. The hike home from the beach, uphill on dirt roads, can get hot and dusty. Go there for an authentic experience of unspoiled Mexico by a gorgeous beach.

“Perfect”

What an amazing getaway after 2 years of lockdown! This home did not disappoint…it is as peaceful and serene as it looks in the pictures. The views are amazing especially from the upstairs bedrooms. We loved the walk into town and the convenience of the little market down the street toward the marina. What a special and beautiful town. So grateful to stay in this home for a couple weeks and cannot wait to return! No complaints at all!

So much to like yet falls short

Beautiful spacious home but needs detailing. We are used to arriving at a pristinely clean and well maintained rental home greeted by a hospitable property manager. There were several problems with this property: soiled paper in the bathroom garbage can, personal items belonging to the owners left in closet and bathroom of master bedroom and broken outdoor chairs. This home did not feel welcoming. Once these issues were taken care of, we were able to relax and enjoy our stay.

Beautiful home and pool

Beautiful distant views of ocean from both bedrooms upstairs. Pool a big bonus for after-beach cool-downs in the afternoons. (only wish there were some lounge chairs so we could lay down, but there were two comfy cushioned chairs to relax in). Very comfortable master bed and bedding. Kitchen was practical and well supplied with utensils, etc....loved the shutter door windows opening from kitchen out to pool bar counter. Short walk downhill to beach took about 5-10 minutes (might be a bit steep for some elderly tourists), and a dip in the pool after the return walk uphill felt great. La Roca mini super market at the corner across from the entrance to gated Marina Chacala had everything you could need. We just had a couple minor issues (that were quickly resolved)....could not access wi-fi at first because the password information (on the VRBO site that we received after booking the house) had not been updated to the new password. Owners responded immediately with new password. (wish we didn't even have to use wi-fi on vacation, but alas....work). Came home one night from dinner to hear the house alarm going off as we were walking up the hill. Could not figure out why, or how to disarm. Called property manager Eliezar, who came over within minutes and spent about 20 minutes trying to disarm. He finally pulled the cords out, which solved that issue! :)

A little slice of heaven

We stayed in this lovely home, on the hill overlooking Chacala, for a week. The pictures don’t really do it justice. The place was spotless, the kitchen well stocked and the beds comfortable. We especially enjoyed the private pool and the little palapa for a shady spot for drinks or a meal. Although my husband and I rented the house for ourselves, it would be perfect for two couples as there really are two master suites and space enough so you would not be tripping over each other. The walk to Chacala was pleasant and there is a little store nearby the casa for basics. Chacala is a charming town with a nice mix of N. American travelers as well as Mexican families enjoying the beach. If we go back to Chacala we would definitely want to stay in this beautiful house! Thank you for sharing your home!

We are surrounded by jungle that gives the house privacy and comfort. Our passion at home in Evergreen Colorado is mountain biking, and skiing. Now we enjoy stand up paddle boarding and boogie boarding in Chacala. We want to share our home with you.
