We had such a great experience at this home! It’s a beautiful property — private, peaceful, and fully stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The house was spotless and had plenty of amenities for our family to enjoy. The host was incredibly responsive and went above and beyond by mailing back a phone our child accidentally left behind. We really appreciated the care and communication. Highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!

We were looking for a spot to gather with our children in one our favorite locations in San Diego. The modern Ranch did not disappoint! What a wonderful home! There was not only a ton of fun activities to do at the house, but there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. If you’re looking for a beautiful home in a fantastic location, look no further!!

Fantastic stay here. Location is perfect, close to everything, however actual home is in a very quiet neighborhood.Home was clean and all amenities were enjoyed by our family.Communication was prompt. There really isn’t anything that could have been improved on. We would stay here again in a heartbeat if we plan another vacation to California.

40th Birthday Weekend

We rented Jeff's beautiful home to celebrate my 40th Birthday. Although the weather didn't cooperate fully (cloudy and cool), the house was great and the outdoor areas were well-appointed. Check-in was clear and easy and we loved our time. Highly recommend!

Amazing and Spectacular!

We can not rave enough about our time on Market Ranch. The house was spotless when we arrived. The pool was glistening, the direct welcoming and the trampoline bouncing! It was probably one of the most relaxing family vacations we have ever had. We will be visiting the ranch often in the future. Thanks so much to our hosts who made everything perfect.

Great Stay, we will return

The property was beautiful. Well stocked with everything you need for a family with small children. 15 minutes from Solana beach, grocery stores, and restaurants. Upgraded Viking and Miele appliances were a very nice bonus. Kids enjoyed the putting green, and pool. The only negatives were the walls are thin and the property needs a deep clean to remove dust. We had a great time and would absolutely book this property again.

Excellent Stay

We just spent a week here and loved every minute of it. The house has very recently been remodeled and is beautiful inside and out. The modern design and technology elements that have been put in it blend perfectly together, and create a very relaxing atmosphere. We loved the pool, it's salt water so no harsh chemicals. Jeff was very easy to deal with and get a hold of if we needed something. He's thought of just about everything, but was quick to respond if we had a question or needed anything. Location is excellent, as it felt very private but is 15-20 minutes away from the beaches and everything else. We will definitely be back!

So glad we picked this property!

We were debating between this home and a similar home in San Diego. We were so glad we went with this Rancho Santa Fe house. Though we travel often using vrbo/homeaway, I rarely write reviews. However, because the house is new it has few reviews to base a decision on - so I wanted to leave our opinion for interested renters. The home is actually better than the pictures and the layout makes the home seem much bigger than the actual square footage. The land is surrounded by lemon trees and pretty views (not ocean). There is plenty of space for kids to safely explore. Something that you can't tell from the pics but everything is high end and decorated/purchased with care. E.g. actual functioning bedroom drapery (vs. my vacation pet peeve of decorative only/sun in your face at sunrise bedroom drapes...). The homeowner was beyond responsive but not intrusive. To the point that he told me that he also has 3 houses in Los Angeles and if we visit there in the future, I would go out of my way to look up his properties. Another thing you can't necessarily tell until you arrive, the location was actually perfect for seeing all the San Diego area sites, many of which are actually located north of San Diego (aquarium, Legoland, zoo safari, etc.). We were worried about the traffic but following the normal tourist routines, we were usually traveling against traffic (if any, and it seemed manageable anyway). I would highly recommend this home for traveling friends/couples (while there is only 1 master, each room has a nice bathroom) or families. The house could accommodate 2 families. The only downside, it is a little bit of a drive to the grocery store. If you are picky about your groceries, visit Lazy Acres Grocery. It is a couple miles further down the road but totally worth it. Another question we had was if the pool was heated. There is a small heater clearly meant mostly for the spa. It will heat the pool but if it is chilly at night, it might take some time -- so discuss with the homeowner if that is something you need. (He may need to override the heating time limit and/or start heating before your arrival. BTW, he does charge for the extra propane cost if you choose to heat the pool. I noticed that this seemed typical for rentals in the San Diego area & seemed fair to me.)

Just flawless!

This property is just stunning. I truly did not want to leave. It has everything you could need for a great vacation. The pool, trampoline and putting green were great fun for the kids. The kitchen was well stocked to cook meals for many. The outdoor fire pit is huge and was a perfect place to sit and enjoy the beautiful scenery. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Wonderful property

We had such an enjoyable vacation. The kids had fun in the bunk beds and the heated pool and hot tub were a hit. All the natural light and modern decor really provided a calming sense of place. We enjoyed walks through the lemon grove and the peace and quiet of the location. Just minutes from town this was a perfect getaway!

Best property ever!!

I stay in homes all over the country for work and this is probably in my top 5 favorite! So clean and comfortable. I love the design aesthetic so much - super cool and modern. Everything was perfect. Would recommend this property to anyone for so many different types of trips - family, couple's getaway, work or whatever, it's just a great place. Holiday Get Away

The property was gorgeous and helped make for an amazing vacation. Rancho Santa Fe is accessible but quiet and a wonderful location to spend a holiday. The layout of the home is open and extremely comfortable. We would definitely come back to this location!

Birthday Bliss

We found this property while looking for a special place to stay for my wife’s birthday. This home proved to be all that and more! From the amazing design and indoor/outdoor living with the fully open glass wall, to the resort like pool/spa and fire pit areas, we truly had everything we could want while staying here. Add in the privacy of the neighborhood and large property, and this place proved to be the perfect spot to unwind for a long weekend. 100% would stay again.

Birthday Retreat

Great property, we had a fantastic time. Celebrated my wife's birthday with family and friends. The pool was a huge attraction and the house is amazing as well. Also golf nearby is a bonus. 5 stars all around.

Amazing property!

This house is better than the pictures! It truly felt like our home away from home. We cooked a lot while we were there, and found the kitchen to be well stocked. The layout of the home is another fantastic feature. Each bedroom having an attached bathroom is such a nice bonus! The amenities outside are the icing on the cake. We swam everyday, and used the jacuzzi in the evenings. My daughter got plenty of use out of the trampoline, and we made up putting games on the green. We used the house iPad to play music through Sonos all day long. Loved that feature! The property manager and home owner were very responsive when we had a question. I would absolutely stay at this property again. Loved it, and hated to leave!

Family Friendly

Our family enjoyed a wonderful stay in this home. It has been renovated beautifully, with big open spaces and fantastic outdoor areas. My two grandsons loved the trampoline and putting green, and we all enjoyed the pool, spa, and fire pit. The house is clean and well equipped, including kitchen supplies as well as games and books. The location is suburban and a little remote, so it's quiet and peaceful, but it's within a 30 minute drive of downtown San Diego and nearby beaches. Check-in/out was easy and the house manager was readily available to answer any questions. We loved our time in Rancho Santa Fe and would love to go back and stay in this house again.
