We can’t say enough amazing things about this home. It was gorgeous and there were so many rooms for all 18 of us to stay in. The kids enjoyed the pool, the putting green, and theater room, while the parents enjoyed the espresso machines and beautiful outdoor spaces. The kitchen had everything we could have needed for our meals and we were within driving distance to Legoland and the San Diego Zoo and multiple beautiful beaches and restaurants. The host was so gracious and quick to respond when we had any questions. It was a vacation we will always remember!

We had our family reunion here with 14 adults and 4 young children, who flew in from all across the US to spend the week together. I can't say enough good things about this property. It was perfect for our family, who like to be together but also like their own space. It's close to the beach, Legoland, and San Diego Zoo, but with the young kids it was great to be able to stay at the house and have so much fun stuff for both adults and kids to do: swimming pool & hot tub, putting green, game room, theater, fabulous kitchen, outdoor pizza oven & huge BBQ, vegetable garden, fruit trees, and beautiful grounds to wander in. It has everything you need and feels homey and comfortable. It worked great for our disabled son who uses a wheelchair. The weather was warmer than usual and we were thankful there was AC. The host was friendly, accommodating and readily available. Our week at the height of the summer season was not cheap but worth every penny for the fabulous memories we made. Our family loved every minute. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful home!

You were wonderful guests and we'd love to host you again. Thanks again for choosing our property!

What an incredible stay!!! This home was over the top fabulous. A gorgeous property and grounds, yet so very comfortable and inviting to our 4 generation family I year to 80! We spent the days together by the pool, meandering in the beautiful gardens, making memorable yet simple meals in the fabulous kitchen and grill with everything you would need, generously provided. Evenings playing games or gathering at the fire pit. Plenty of space to gather or be alone. The sauna was a hit. Friendly competition at the pitch and putt, darts, croquet, or corn hole. The communication with the owner was immediate friendly and helpful, so kind, so generous. We have booked VRBOs throughout US, Europe and Mexico and this was definitely at the top. Everyone is looking forward to return! FABULOUS 5 STAR PLUS! Thanks and gratitude to the Shearer family for sharing their beautiful home!

Our extended family had a wonderful time at this home. The property is beautiful and is very well maintained. Easy instructions from management, everything worked well, we had no problems with anything at all. The location is excellent. We enjoyed the beaches 15-20 minutes away, Seaworld, and Legoland both about 1/2 hour. Kroger was only 4 miles away and Costco 1/2 hour. Our morning walkers and runners enjoyed the paths and the pretty neighborhood. We enjoyed Annies trail and the slot canyon, even the 4 year-olds had no trouble, and it was a real adventure for them and the other grandkids (We hiked from the trailhead on Rios Ave). We enjoyed the Rancho Santa Fe farmers market. The kitchen had everything we needed. We had a blast making pizzas in the outdoor pizza oven. The highlight for the grandkids is always the pool and hot tub. Movie night in the theatre room was a treat for the grandkids too. Once the grandkids were in bed we had many card games in the game room. We had a perfect vacation and made lots of great memories. We would love to stay here again.

This is an amazing property. We met here for a family reunion and loved it. It was just as advertised - clean, spacious, well equipped, and beautiful. The kitchen is massive, we had 5 cooks in at once without any trouble. The refrigerator and freezer are large enough to accommodate a large group. The pool and spa were lovely and a big hit. We highly recommend this place.

Great house. Great property. Great location.

Met all expectations and was a lovely home for our large family reunion. Owners were very responsive and helpful with any concerns we had while staying here (which were very minor). Lots of options for spending time at the house - pool, games, and walks on the property. Within 15 minutes of beautiful beaches and other fun attractions. We’d definitely stay here again!

A perfect get away for a large family!

My wife and I, and our 7 kids with spouses, all had plenty of room and fun at this amazing place. Samantha was very attentive to any questions, and the place's actual layout upon arrival made it even better than we imagined through just viewing the pictures. Whether it was the heated outdoor living area, warm pool, hot spa, playing poker/cards or shooting pool, it was all just perfect for us. I wish we had another week there.

90th Birthday Celebration

This property was beautiful and was fabulous for the 20 guests celebrating my mom's 90th birthday. Many of the guests flew in from areas that had already gotten cold, so the warm weather and outdoor spaces were a hit, especially the pool. I can not say enough about how accommodating and responsive the hosts were to our requests. I hope we get to work with them again.

Best location in the Covenant

This property is fantastic and it was a shame that it was just my husband and I (and our pups). There are so many entertaining options on property from the putting green, to darts, poker table, outdoor entertaining areas, fire pits...it was amazing. The kitchen was also perfectly stocked with every cooking utensil, bowl, small appliance, prep tools you could need. The owners are incredibly nice and very responsive. We will be back!

Magical Moments!

We enjoyed our stay at this most amazing home. Comfort, cleanliness, amenities, and accessible communication are a few of the exceptional qualities of this stay. We feel blessed to have the opportunity to be together at such a home that had so much to offer. We swam in a beautiful heated pool/hot tub, cooked in the large stocked kitchen, played cards in the “Game room” and sat by one of the wonderful fireplaces to watch movies. There is something and somewhere to go (for privacy) for everyone. Looking forward to being able to stay here again!

Amazing property

Absolutely stunning home nestled in a beautiful and serene area. Our family, ranging in ages from one to 65 spent a week here. We would not have had to leave the property. The pool and spa were perfect to spend the day with family. The other nice touches, including pizza, oven, golf chipping area, Theater room, were pleasant additions. Each suite was immaculate and comfortable. The host was extremely responsive. Would 10/10 return for another week.
