This cozy cottage is just across the road from AuTrain Lake with full beach access. It features 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a gas fireplace, wireless internet, and cable TV. The main-floor bedroom has a queen and twin bed. Upstairs offers a pass-through bedroom with a full bed and a separate king bedroom with A/C. Enjoy a BBQ grill and private bonfire pit in the backyard overlooking the Hiawatha National Forest. Just minutes from Lake Superior, Munising, and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.

Great cabin for a group

The cabin was so spacious for our group. The property afforded us plenty of space for all of us to hang out and have a nice fire and roast marshmallow after an emotional day of saying goodbye to our Dad.

Relaxing stay in Au Train cabin

The house was exactly as listed besides the fenced in yard. The house has a large yard but had no fence for our dog as expected. The neighborhood is quiet and centrally located to all nearby attractions. The lake across the street is beautiful and a nice place to relax after a day of hiking, kayaking and adventure. The beds were comfortable and all essentials were included (kitchen towels, hand soap, bath towels, extra toilet paper etc.) it would have been nice to know this up front so we didn’t lug extra along for the trip. All in all a great trip and we would visit again.

Ice caves

It was very enjoyable. Spacious and had all the necessities needed. It was warm and cozy was great to have a fireplace to sit by after hiking the ice caves. Would stay there again. There were suppose to be 3 bedrooms but the one bed was actually in a dormer area. The one room had a Queen size bed which sleeps 3. Would have been nice to have another full snd single bed. The beach and lake are across the street just down the road. Overall we were happy with everything. Thank you for a great weekend.

Mom's night away

We ended up staying at the Elks #8 because of a shower issue with the Moose. It was perfect for the 5 of us ladies, we had a few extra ladies stop by that didn't stay the night. A beautiful cabin. Clean and comfortable!

Wonderful experience, fantastic find!

Clean and cozy cabin. My husband and I spent the week waterfalling. Such a great location to take day trips. We stayed in the moose. So spacious, felt like home away from home. The outside area was amazing. Large yard and right across the street is the lake. Just beautiful! Northwoods has thought of everything from bedding to dishes to a grill outside. We will definitely be back!

Great place

Can't ask for a better location and place to stay. It was great watching the deer in the backyard as our family sat down to eat. Only complaint is low water pressure in the shower. Overall an amazing place and I hope we can come back for a visit again.

Just a important suggestion, the internet access ID was not available, the given ID was wrong and suffered without net, the only reason to keep our phones reachable incase of emergency because we don't see any land line either... please have a phone in the Cabin....

Charter is our internet provider and was having some issues with the systems in the area during your stay. Verizon cell phone service works in the area and we also have an office with a phone that is needed in case of emergency.

Beautiful location

Large Roomy Cabin

The cabin was set across the street from the lake with woods behind it. A small garden for pollinators was next to the sidewalk at the front entrance . It was filled with pollinators of all sorts ,but at 5:00 our first day we were greeted by two dozen Monarch butterflies. The size of the house served the 8 of us well. My highlight of the whole week was to rent one of their kayaks and go down the Autrain river. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Merritt Ireland

Great place for the family to stay.

Great, clean place for the family to stay. The location is close by to Munising with access to the water (across the road) and short hikes. The laundry is a paid one (bring quarters) and it’s a short walk from the cabin.

Wonderful little cabin!

A group of close friends stayed here for the weekend. The house is spacious and clean. The resort employees are very kind and accommodating. They brought us a crock pot because we forgot ours for chili. There is so much to do around the house. Pictured rocks cruises are only 15 minutes away from the house. There are so many hiking trails around. It was awesome to be able to bring our pups along with us on this trip!

Very Spacious and Cozy!

Our family went there for Labor Day weekend and couldn’t have been more pleased with the Moose cabin. It was so comfortable, cozy and had enough space for all 6 of us. We loved the fireplace and the fenced backyard as well! We can’t wait to go back soon!
