Located just minutes from the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Lake Superior, and AuTrain Lake! This is the perfect 4 season destination! Snowmobile from your front door step!! Plenty of parking for your large trailers! The Yellow Perch is a home overlooking the AuTrain River! It is only 11 miles West of Munising and the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore! The front porch has an amazing view to sit out enjoy your coffee as you watch ducks swim the river! The house also has steps leading down to the river with a private dock for fishing and swimming right in front!

Great location for snowmobiling!

We just stayed here for 2 nights while snowmobiling. It is only 1.2 miles from trail 417 to the north and 2.5 miles from trail 8 to the south. The place was clean and cozy! Totally beats a hotel, we’ll definitely be back. The hosts were very accommodating and extremely nice! Thanks so much!!!!

The house worked well for the 2 of us and our dog but I think that it would be rather cramped if all beds were full. That being said, it's in a great location for seeing the local sites and the view off the back deck was a great way to relax in the evening.

This was one of my all time favorite rentals. Location is extremely convenient to Munsing and it even has a public beach no more than 4 minutes down the road that we really enjoyed.Beautiful property with a large lake down the street. We sincerely appreciate the ability to bring our pup. Thank you again for allowing us to make some great memories!! We would definitely come back again.

I think the pictures undersell this rental. It was so cozy and clean and bright. The river was so mellow and lazy and relaxing to sit on the porch and enjoy the early morning. Everything was perfectly shaded. Wonderful fire pit for family s'mores with kids happily cartwheeling in the background. I do wish the listing mentioned how close to the busy road it is, but more importantly how it basically shares a driveway with the kayak rental. More than once we had strangers pull in asking about rentals and we had kids running around playing. If you can ignore the noise pollution from the loud trucks then it is really really peaceful. It is right down the road from the Au Train Beach which was so great! Wonderful beach. Be careful on the path to the river after you leave the safety of the stairs and railing. It was just a little slippery with the sand and dry leaves. I'm home now and my heart is happy after my stay at The Yellow Perch.

Perfect Patio View

Perfect little cabin for our famiy of 6. We walked across the street and rented kayaks. Simple cabin for a getaway. Erin was great to work with and very understanding!

3 Star Cabin at a 5 Star Price

The cabin sits on a rather busy road... Right on the road, next to two canoe liveries. It is in fact generally quieter at home downtown Detroit than at the cabin. The cabin seems to misadvertised as a VRBO. It is in fact managed by North Woods Resort which is just down the way. When stopping in several times during office hours with inquiries no one was available to answer any questions. Be prepared for family members of the owners of the resort to be standing on the house's private dock fishing from time to time. Be prepared to to pay $5-10 per bundle for fire wood in the area, none is provided. Bring your own toilet paper - about 1/2 roll was left for our 5 night booking. Be prepared for dodgy internet and very limited tv service if those are important to you, cell is dodgy in the area as well. Of note, one of the bedrooms is only accessed through the bathroom, and there is only 1, small bathroom. The basement bedroom has no door. The steps down to the river are dated and dangerous, be careful. The proximity to many activities in the UP is great, and if you don't mind the general inconvenience of the space itself can provide a nice base for a small group. Accommodating more than 4-5 in your party would prove quite challenging.

Perfect little getaway.

House was clean, cozy, and perfect size for 4 adults to be able to relax. Wooded setting overlooking the river was beautiful. The house had everything we needed to enjoy home cooked family meals, bonfires, and movie night. The only reason I gave this property a 4 out of 5 rating is because the only bathroom in this property was the only connection to the 3rd bedroom. Our family really enjoyed our stay and would definitely choose Yellow Perch again.

Great place and location. House was very clean and had everything we needed.

Perfect location for kayaking on the Au Train River. We brought our own kayaks and were able to put in right at the house and park less than a mile down the road at the next bridge. Made for a good 3 hour trip. Plenty of water falls within a half hour drive, Pictured rocks lakeshore and plenty of other things to do. Thanks Erin, we had a great time and definitely would recommend to anyone.

Owners were beyond friendly. Great, secluded location. Everything was perfect. We had all we needed for a wonderful family, holiday weekend. Will be back for sure!!! Thank you

Great cabin, highly recommend!

Enjoyed our stay , cabin was perfect for what we needed. The owners were so nice to deal with and were so accommodating. The cabin was clean and well taken care of. Each morning deer would come up to the river and you never knew you were on a road. Great central location for all attractions and for all seasons!
