Immaculate Paradise

Property was very clean, great location with amazing views. Very private yet close to amenities. The only thing that topped the property itself was the service provided by the staff.

Perfect spot for an event

We held our small wedding at villa buena onda. The staff went above and beyond to make it special and seamless. Our families loved the pool and the view was even more breathtaking in person. Highly recommend Villa Buena Onda for an event or group vacation!

We had such a fun time at this VRBO! We loved the property and the staff!! They were like family with us. Our every need was met and more. The meals they served us were excellent! I would definitely recommend this property to everyone! We loved Carlos and Heidy and Rosa and Louis and Zeus!!

Luxurious villa with amazing views

We had an exceptional experience with our family staying at Villa Buena Onda. The staff were wonderful and responsive. We felt right at home with our large family group and received excellent service throughout our stay. The staff really goes above and beyond to help you have a great stay. The views are stunning! Sunsets are an event to see each evening and we cannot say enough about the pools. Perfect for adults to unwind while kids play and enjoy the water. We highly recommend and hope to come back soon!

Our group of 14 said this was the best trips we've ever had as a family, if not the best! When my husband and I travel solo, we enjoy resorts with exceptional service- such as Rosewood or the Four Seasons- and Villa Buena Onda exceeded our expectations. In a private rental you usually don't get the same level of service as you do at a resort (nor do I expect it). However, Villa Buena Onda provides a full service experienceFrom before booking to check out, Charlie was amazing! He replied promptly with detail to my questions (I had a lot)On a day to day basis, we had Samuel, Ashley &Nela on staff. Nela made delicious meals every day and was so sweet to make a cake for one of our guest's birthday. Ashley & Samuel took care of anything we needed during the day. A few went deep sea fishing. Samuel offered to clean the fish and then staff prepared it for lunch for us (even though we did not have lunch included in our meal plan- more on that later- and expected to clean the fish ourselves).The villa was gorgeous. Rooms were comfortable & well stocked.The grounds and outdoor setup provide your own private oasis. The covered lounge area with fans made it pleasant to sit outside all day by the pool. The spa is a nice touch and recommended. I recommend adding the full bar to the meal plan. We opted NOT to do it because there were a couple people in our group who don't drink, but in hindsight it would have been easier and well worth it. I highly recommend Villa Buena Onda!

Just what we wanted!

Wonderful facility and an amazing staff! We loved our stay and had our expectations meet! We used the staff for meal service and the food was great. They worked with us to provide meals for our picky teenage eaters as well as fixed a gluten and dairy free option for our family members requiring that. Property access road was sub standard and provided many thrills and memorable laughs, but just just walk out on the pool patio and take in the view, and all is right in your vacation.

Amazing customer service!!!

Costa Rica was beautiful! The villa was beautiful! And the staff were amazing! Dayana and ALL of the villa staff there every moment making sure we had all we wanted at all times. The meals were amazing! Even the one that was prepared for us to take to the beach! I highly recommend this villa!

We chose Guanacaste because it is one of the fastest-growing tourism destinations in Costa Rica. Thanks to the construction of the Liberia international airport (LIR), guests can reach Villa Buena Onda and be on the beach within 35 minutes after arriving into the country! The Villa's property offers gorgeous views of Coco Bay and surrounding islands. The town of Coco is a quiet fishing village, not unlike the numerous Mexican resort towns 30 years ago.

Guests can enjoy access to a handful of beautiful, pristine beaches that are under 10-20 minutes away, as well as tours to National Parks, sport fishing, Canopy zip line tours, ATV tours, snorkeling, surfing and a whole array of water activities.

Staying at Villa Buena Onda you will be close to golden sand beaches that we highly recommend Coco Beach (7 minutes), Playa Hermosa (13 minutes), Ocotal Beach (15 minutes), Playa Panama (20 minutes), Calzon de Pobre (hidden beach 20 minutes away), Tamarindo (1 hour).

Nature
For nature lovers, we recommend visiting Palo Verde National Park to see giant crocs and wetland birds: ibis, spoonbills, storks (1,5 hours);
Rincon de La Vieja National Park with its hot springs, mud baths, and a taste of cowboy culture. (2 hours)
La Fortuna (Arenal Volcano) - perhaps the most iconic site in Costa, known around the world for its natural wonders that combine adventure with nature. (3 hours);
Llanos de Cortes Waterfalls - off beaten path site with large waterfalls in a secluded spot. (1 hour)

The nearest golf courses are located in Four Seasons and Westin Resort, about 45 minutes to an hour away.
