Panoramic Views, Secluded Quaint Cabin at DuPont Forest

Valley View is conveniently located between Brevard and Hendersonville and as close to DuPont Forest as any rental property could be. Situated on 25 acres with views of the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains and Little River Valley. The cabin is very clean and tastefully furnished. To venture out beyond the serenity may never cross your mind.

But adventure Awaits !

Less than one mile away from DuPont Forest Gates with magnificent waterfalls, and nearly 100 miles of trails for biking, hiking, and horseback riding. DuPont Forest is one of the most visited state forest in North Carolina. (see web link)

If this is not enough, less than ten minutes away is the Pisgah National Forest . . . Brave Sliding Rock for the 'chill' of a lifetime. Spend a day at The Cradle of Forestry. Enjoy downtown Brevard, home to The Brevard Music Center.

15 minutes away is Hendersonville, home to The Flat Rock Playhouse and Carl Sandburg's home. Spend the day in downtown Hendersonville or Brevard, both offer several Antique Shops, Diners, and Interesting Stores. The Biltmore House in Asheville, North Carolina is less than 45 minutes away.

Great mountain getaway

Loved it. The views are breathtaking. Hosts made the place feel very hospitable and welcoming. Wonderful porch and beds were comfortable. We plan to return!

Secluded with great views

Great property for the 3 of us. Loved how private it was and the view up by the fire pit was amazing. Very pleased with our stay. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Trip to Brevard

We stayed in this adorable cabin on our trip to Brevard! We hiked to waterfalls by day and ate dinner both nights at The Square Root! Then we enjoyed our evenings at the cabin! Gorgeous view and comfy, homey, clean stay!!!

Weekend getaway

The view was gorgeous, very quiet and isolated and loved the swing on the porch. I spent all of my time there if we were at the cabin. The cabin was clean but is dated. It smells old upon entering and could use some updates such as bathroom. It doesn't have central air however once closed up and fans going it cooled down quickly and nice and didn't notice any odor as much. We must have been close to a farm because sometimes when wind would blow certain direction could smell it. I don't have a problem with it but some may, to me wasn't overpowering, just noticeable. The owner was great to communicate with a prompt response. There were a few maps and brochures about the area which were a nice touch. The beds were comfortable. The stay was overall very pleasant and would recommend.

Relaxing weekend in a beautiful setting

Weekend mountain retreat

This property is so wonderful! The house is tucked away from neighbors and we had total privacy. The photos of the views do not do it justice. Woke up every day to coffee on the deck and used the fire ring for a lovely night in. We would definitely come back!

Right in the hollar top with a mountain top fire pit, the best

Small well apportioned home with everything from TP and napkins to paper towels, soap, and sponges. My wife packed a ton of things for me and some friends to head up and for once I didn't need her preparation, this house had it all. Even chopped firewood for the the firepit and charcoal for the grill. Add to that a beautiful view and ample porch(half of which is screened to save from the bugs) and you're right up the road from the DuPont forest and the falls it has to offer.

Great quite getaway

We really enjoyed our stay here. Quite, with a great view of the valley. Home had all we needed and then some. Screen porch and fire ring are a great perk at this cabin. Would definitely stay again. We visited the “Pretty Place” chapel (fyi…pretty sure this is the closest rental to the chapel) we also hiked to TONS of local waterfalls. Great stay, great time, great memories! Thanks again!

Girls weekend

This home was perfect. Loved the peaceful location and closeness to town. Yard is beautiful. Everything we needed was in the house. It was clean. I will definitely stay here again.

Secluded hideaway

Older and modest house in a great location with a great view. Total sense of privacy. Very small and would benefit from multiple updates to furniture and HVAC and plumbing but we were fine with it all and will likely return. Do note it is a solid 20-minutes to Brevard and about 35-minutes to most Pisgah trail heads. But it's only minutes away from Dupont Forest parking areas.

Quiet Place to Stay

We enjoyed our Thanksgiving stay here. Especially liked relaxing on the porch after spending days mountain bike riding in Dupont State Forest. Even spotted a small buck one morning.

Remotely & centrally located cabin for family getaway

We loved staying in this cabin. It is a great place to unwind and for outdoor activities. Hendersonville and Brevard are only a 20-minute drive away. The beds were very comfy.

WHAT A VIEW!!

The cabin was quaint and had just what we needed. It was not new and fancy but it was a cozy cabin on a mountain side. Just what we wanted. Affordable and the property was amazing. So much space to relax in privacy. We lounged on the hill at the fire pit area and just took in the mountain view. Ate our meals enjoying the views from the cabin every day. Long private driveway was easy for us flatlanders and no 4wd needed. Super convenient to DuPont and Pisgah Forest as well as Brevard and Hendersonville. I really didn't want to leave it was so peaceful. I think we got our money's worth and so many memories of waterfalls, fall leaves, mountains and even deer outside the cabin. Fortunate to see a white squirrel the day we left. We would stay here again no hesitations. Thanks so much Valley View Cabin. It was fun sharing your family's home.

Birthday getaway

Quiet, private, relaxing location with great views. Think visiting your grandma's place in the mountains, with a small kitchen. Issues: my T-Mobile, no service; girlfriend's Verizon worked great. Hint for gps, just search for Dupont Yurts, turnoff road to place is beside it.

Peace & Solitude

What a lovely home! The cabin is so very cozy and quaint with a phenomenal view. You could tell this property has been well loved and is a special place. The beds were comfortable, clean accommodations, remote but also not far from town. The cabin is well stocked for a couple. Access to many trails and waterfalls within short drives- a perfect place for base camp! Thank you for sharing with us.

Cabin is two stars except for view, which is great.

“Meh” is our overall opinion of this cabin. The view is outstanding, but the cabin needs serious attention. Needs new glasses, dishes, pans, other kitchen supplies. The washcloths are like cheap sandpaper. Invest a little $$ and better reviews will follow. We are NOT a picky couple but there are some basic expectations.

A relaxing getaway

Property and cabin were clean upon check-in, communication from the host was great, and the view from the cabin is amazing! Perfect little getaway for my girlfriend and I. Less than a 10 minute drive from the cabin to get to some scenic hiking trails and waterfalls. Would not hesitate to stay here again!
