Apartment in the Centre of Madrid

This modern and spacious apartment is well located for exploring Madrid, just steps from Puerta Sol. It has 3 good sized bedrooms (one with twin beds), a good kitchen and lots of space to relax. It is, however, in a very busy shopping area where the neon street signs and street life can make you feel like you are staying in Times Square. That said, the windows are well made and the street noise is minimal once you are in the apartment.

Ideal location

This apartment is steps from Plaza del Sol- which we were told is ‘the heart of the city’, and it is. We were walking distance to practically all of Madrid’s main sights, and if you’re inclined to ride the Metro, there’s an easily accessible station, across the street. There’s also a grocery store between the apartment and Plaza del Sol. The street is lively (noisy) with street performers and busy with pedestrians (it’s a walking street), but we weren’t around enough to be too bothered by it, and when we were, it was manageable.

Great location, roomy, lovely amenities

The apartment is up to date and modern as pictured and is in a lovely old building on a central pedestrian shopping street in Madrid, walking distance to the palace on one end and the Prado museum at the other. When open, a beautiful breeze comes in the windows and the music from the street musicians can be heard almost every evening. The apartment has nice amenities, especially air conditioning which is a nice plus. The rooms and beds were clean, and extra towels were provided on request. A washing machine is available, but European speed (very slow). We enjoyed ourselves very much!

Die Unterkunft ist perfekt gelegen!Die Zimmer sind sehr schön und die Betten sehr bequem, allerdings für zwei Personen mit einer Bettdecke recht eng.Die Ausstattung der Wohnung ist dagegen nicht so gut!Das fängt mit der defekten Kaffeemaschine an, was gerade morgens mit mehreren Personen echt ärgerlich war.Der Fernseher funktioniert nicht, im Kühlschrank ist die Lade kaputt, es gibt nur sehr eingeschränkt Küchenutensilien und keinerlei Grundausstattung bei den Lebensmitteln (nicht mal Salz und Pfeffer) !In der Wohnung gibt es keine Hinweise für den Aufenthalt und W-Lan funktioniert auch nicht! Besonders störend ist der Baulärm ab 7 Uhr morgens.Das Angebot entspricht nicht unseren Erwartungen an eine Ferienwohnung in dieser Preisklasse! Eigentlich schade, weil die Mängel einfach zu beheben wären.

Very nice apartment in a great location

This 3 bedroom 3 bath apartment was extremely inviting and comfortable to stay in. We were able to spread out with multiple sitting areas. The decor was great and everything you could need was provided. The property manager met us as we arrived and ensured we were comfortable and had what we needed. This was the last leg of our trip and it was the perfect place to enjoy Madrid and then come back to relax. The location is perfect - walking distance to everything but tucked away so there isn't a lot of street noise. We'll be back!

Location, location, location!

Big apartment in the heart of the action. Check in was very easy with the representative meeting us opromptly. There is a small walk from where the taxi drops you off. The apartment was very clean but maybe a little older than it looks in the listing. The building is very old with kind of a creepy entrance. The windows overlooking the street are beautiful. It can be a bit noisy in the front of the apartment where the “living” area is. This was awesome for all of the street musicians! Very walkable to all attractions. Grocery store and shops literally downstairs. My only real complaint was there was no hair dryer and really no attempt provide one. I ended up buying one.

Madrid at your doorstep

The location of this apartment is very convenient to everything. Steps to Plaza del Sol, shops and restaurants. The apartment is clean and has everything you would need for a comfortable stay. It is updated and clean. It easily accommodated our family of 5. Check-in was easy and communication was great. I will return and rent this apartment again.

Amazing Location, Great for Families

We had a wonderful time at this place in Madrid with our 3 children and 4 adults. Very central and on a pedestrian street - right in the heart of Madrid at Plaza del sol. It's also located right beside the metro line and easy to get around to all of the sites. The place is very clean and spacious and would definitely recommend.

Lovely Flat in Very Noisy Location!!

This lovely, spacious apartment is on a busy pedestrian shopping street which is great for location and but not so good for sleep! There are street musicians all day and evening and the sound is very loud echoing off the buildings until about 11:30 PM. Also, there were other very loud groups 2-3 am on the street or in the building on 2 of the 4 nights we stayed here. If you plan to be out all day until the wee hours, this is a great place for you! The representative who checked us in could not have been less informative, more disinterested or more anxious to be done and gone. Find another job as you clearly do not like the one you have!! Bad impression to start off the stay. Kitchen needs a bread board, though other equipment was adequate, beds are good and bathrooms are fine. Shower drain in master bath needs a clean out as it is so slow water pools and risks overflow even with short shower.

Lovely apartment, just as described

This apartment was perfect for my family of 4 who needed 3 bedrooms. It was furnished exactly as depicted and all the furniture was quite comfortable, particularly the beds! The location is 3 floors above a very busy pedestrian mall; we loved the liveliness although the electric advertising signs and amplified (but quite talented orchestral) musicians were bothersome at times. Accessing the apartment upon arrival and departure was seamless.

Wonderful stay

We were 5 adults and the property was just perfect for us for a long weekend. Location was great fun at that time of the year ( mid December) . The agents were great to deal with and I would totally recommend this rental.

Gorgeous apartment

Loved this place! It is as beautiful as the photos, and you can't get more centrally located than this. The pedestrian street below had excellent musicians playing most evenings. Beware if you use the airport transfer service (this is a separate company) that you'll need to confirm exactly where they will pick you up for the trip to the airport - we were given a street corner and restaurant name but there was no such restaurant at that corner and the car never showed up - we easily got a taxi a block away so no great loss (and the taxi was 5 euros cheaper). Also if you need to do laundry you might ask if the dryer has been fixed yet, as it was insanely slow (3 hours to dry two swimsuits) - I let them know that the vent may be clogged so hopefully it will be taken care of. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Perfect location, ideal apartment set up

Comfortable apt for two couples. Quiet bedrooms. Separate full bathrooms. Perfect location on Calle Preciados just off Puerta del Sol on pedestrian only street. Cristina was always available to help with any questions. Elevator for my old bones after days of walking tours. Washing machine worked well. Dryer not so much. Cortes des Ingles basement level supermarket is across the street. We would rent again in a second.

Great apartment but no toiletries

The location is excellent and 2 mins from Puerta del sol. Very close to Madrid palace and in a very lively neighborhood... the apartment itself is very nice... only thing is that you have to buy your own shampoo, shower gel and other cleaning products...

Perfect location, best managers, lovely decor

The apartment was just as the pictures; location was better than expected, in the heart of everything, walking distance to everything. Went with family (grandmothers and kids) and supermarket was just across the street, so that made us feel at home. Very complete kitchen, and staff was available 24hrs to help us with any doubt. At the end, they even hired us an extremely cheap and excellent transport to the airport, for the 7 of us and out 10 bags. Will definitely come back if we travel to Madrid. Thumbs up for the Vanray’s team (Paula and Cristina)

Amazing apartment in a perfect location with friendly and helpful hosts.

The apartment is a really good size and well decorated, 3 double bedrooms and a sofa bed in one of the lounges. Well equipped and very stylish apartment. Location is perfect, close to all the main attractions and shops. The host who greeted us was very friendly and helpful.

Great apartment in wonderful location

Our family of 5 enjoyed staying in this beautiful apartment. It's located on a lively pedestrian street within easy walking distance to all the main sites of Madrid. There's quite a bit of music and noise from the street, but it didn't bother our sleep because the bedrooms are in the back of the apartment. The street has lots of good shopping and many nice restaurants nearby. We were very comfortable here and highly recommend it!

Beautiful apartment in the perfect central location

The Vanrays host team could not gone out of their way anymore to make our stay better. They helped with every detail of our trip. The apartment is near anywhere you want to go and very accessible to public transportation. The apartment is spacious, well decorated and as a family of 6 we were very comfortable there.

Gorgeous modern flat in a very noisy location

The property itself and the property managers couldn't be nicer. Unfortunately, they are renovating the unit right below and doing a mjajor construction project right across the street and it did effect our ability to sleep. Once these are completed I think the overall experience for guests will improve. The location is very central to all the major tourist destinations in old Madrid.Calle Preciados is a major hub of activity and I would guess that some people would enjoy that aspect of their stay

Excelente apartamento con una muy buena ubicación

El apartamento es muy amplio (nos alojamos perfectamente 5 personas) y decorado y aprovisionado con muy buen gusto. Cabe destacar la amabilidad y buena predisposicion de Cristina y Daniel quienes nos dieron indicaciones de la zona (donde comer, que lugares visitar, etc.) y solucionaron inmediatamente cualquier problema que tuvimos (detalles mínimos, que no afectan nuestro buen concepto del apartamento). La ubicacion no pudo ser mejor: a dos cuadras de la Gran Vía y a dos cuadras de la Puerta del Sol. Si volviera a Madrid en un grupo de 5 ó 6 personas, no dudaría en volver a alquilarlo.

Perfect

The apartment is very centrally located with El Corte Ingles right across the pedestrian street, which is very convenient for grocery shopping. the apartment itself is identical to the pictures posted on the site. The balconies open up to view the pedestrian street below, the noise volume usually quiets down around 11 pm, so it's not bad. You can walk anywhere from the apartment without a problem and there is access to the metro station just steps away. Contacting Daniel & Cristina was always easy with fast response. They also reserved a car service to pick us up from the airport which was very convenient. I would recommend this apartment for anyone wanting to stay in the central area.

security deposit

The apartment was great and the can't beat the location. My only problem was after I tried to inquire about my security deposit it took me 5 emails for the owner to respond. I almost filed an official complaint with VRBO. Hopefully other guest will not have the same problem.
