Description: Located in the beautiful development of Echota, this two-bedroom, two-bathroom main floor (entry level, no stairs) condo is perfect for your next vacation. The beautiful unobstructed view of Grandfather Mountain can be admired from the swivel chairs in the living room, primary bedroom, and the deck areas. This condo is fully furnished with everything you would need for a long retreat or a short weekend getaway. The kitchen is well equipped to prepare everything from snacks to full family meals. The living room is inviting with an electric log fireplace. Curl up, get cozy and read a book, watch TV or take a nap…. the choice is yours! Guests of this unit have access to the deck from the living room or primary bedroom where they can breathe in fresh mountain air while gazing at Grandfather Mountain and listening to the sounds of nature. Enjoy a short mountain getaway to relax or an extended stay and explore all the High Country has to offer. 

Resorts' Amenities: Amenities in these gated resorts include indoor and outdoor (seasonal May 1 - Oct. 1) swimming pools with hot tubs, two private clubhouses, fitness rooms, stocked fishing ponds, a 23-acre riverfront park, community hiking trails and catch and release fishing.

Location: This Resort is centrally located to Boone, Banner Elk, Valle Crucis and Blowing Rock in the Foscoe area. The convenient location makes it just minutes away from all the High Country’s most famous attractions such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and Caverns, and Appalachian State University.  If you are looking for winter sports there are several different options from Hawksnest Snow Tubing, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, Beech Mountain Ski Resort, and Appalachian Ski Resort. Relax and enjoy the slow pace of the mountains and the fresh air or be adventurous and go hiking, fishing, biking, or sight-seeing. Some other things people enjoy are shopping, antiquing, skiing, golfing and miniature golfing, ziplining, go-karts, and gem mining.

We apologize for the hot tub not being operational, unfortunately it was a repair that would have required the pool area to be closed as well. Our community POA is addressing this currently. We hope you enjoyed your stay and will visit again if back in the area.

Lovely

This condo was perfect for us. We came to the area to tour Appalachian State and ski Sugar Mtn, and it was located halfway between both. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked and the bedrooms were comfortable. The view was very pretty.

Great place at a great price

We stayed here with our infant and preschooler for four nights, and it couldn't have been better! Plenty of room for the family to spread out, and a beautiful view of the fall trees and Grandfather Mountain from the deck. And the price was fantastic - we spent considerably less for four nights here than we did just for two nights last year at a hotel in Blowing Rock (that wasn't nearly as nice!). We'll definitely be back!

This was our 4th stay at Echota. We love the location, the views, and the comfort of the condos. This condo did not disappoint, We enjoyed the comfort it provided for our 3 week stay. It was clean, and the best equipped of all the condos we have rented. I would recommend this condo.

Convient, well stocked, plenty of space, great view

Our family of 4 had a great 3 day weekend. The place was very nice and clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our weekend. The kitchen was stocked with anything you need to be able to enjoy your stay if you want to cook meals vs going out to eat. The location was perfectly set between the ski resorts and Boone. We look forward to a visit in the summer to enjoy the summer activities in the area and sit out on the porch admiring the views. Thank you for a great stay!

Great value

My husband and I just spent 2 very relaxing days/nights in this nice condo. There was ample room for just the 2 of us and the unit was nicely appointed. It is a middle unit which was of some concern when we 1st checked in, but it was very quiet our entire stay. I would loved to have had wireless internet service in the unit, as I always work while I'm away. The unit was also very clean. A great value for the money. We would stay here again.

Although there is no wireless internet in the condo, we do have the regular internet connection in the condo. There is wireless internet in the clubhouse which is available for guests to use.

Beautiful Boone Condo

We had a wonderful vacation at this condo. It was perfect for my parents (ages 83 and 88). Everything was on one level....no steps at all. Really enjoyed the deck overlooking Grandfather's Mountain. The kitchen was well stocked to prepare any meals. It was furnished very nice (upscale) ...and well maintained. We did not have young children with us...but there were plenty of games, books puzzles, etc., for them. I would highly recommend this condo for anyone visiting the Boone area. We hope to visit again!

Last Minute Surprise

We had planned to stay at a friends property. Unfortunately there was a water leak that made that condo uninhabitable. We found this property which only had two bedrooms but we needed 3. We knew it would be right but the condo was so nice and homelike it really didn’t matter! Our weekend was saved, and we would highly recommend this property to anyone going to Grandfather Mountain

The Perfect Get-Away-From-It-All

Having owned at Echota we were looking to return again and enjoy the beauty of the well kept grounds, the view of Grandfather Mountain & the town of Boone. We found "our spot" with this well maintained condo which lives up to the description on the HomeAway site. The condo had everything we needed. I am particular about cleanliness so we were very happy to see it met our expectations. The owner was easy to contact and extremely pleasant and helpful. . No stairs or elevator to contend with, just roll your luggage to the door! There are so many wonderful amenities at Echota to enjoy. We definitely will be looking forward to another get-away in this condo.

Beautiful condo

This was a beautiful condo in Echota!!! The rooms were spacious and the kitchen was well equipped with items including a crock pot! This condo was very clean and had a great patio for drinking coffee in the mornings and eating dinners in the evening! The only negative was the heating element in the dryer wasn't working and our guests from Oregon had to take wet clothes to Nashville, TN ( there next stop). I told the office about the dryer when we checked out. All in all we will be back!!!!

Dear Janelle, we do apologize for the fact that the dryer did not work. Right before you arrived, we had a service call for the dryer and was told all was working well. I am sorry that you didn't phone the office immediately when it didn't work. They would have had a repairman come. We live here in Pittsburgh and so have to rely on others to take care of unexpected problems. Again, we are so very sorry that this happened and will speak to the company who did the work on the dryer and try to get to the bottom of this. We are happy that otherwise your visit was a good one and you enjoyed our amenities as it is our desire to have our guests have a wonderful stay. Great condo, Resort had potential but was somewhat disappointing

Condo was great and location was excellent. Resort was a little disappointing. Croquet/golf/bocce was overgrown and all the equipment was broken. It was also hard to find and we had walk by a construction site with young kids. Only one outdoor pool for the massive resort so it was way overcrowded with nowhere to sit or swim. Overall enjoyed our stay but if you are excited about the amenities (like we were), you will be disappointed.

Great stay, would definitely return.

My family and I enjoyed staying in this condo. The unit was very nicely appointed and had all the conveniences of home. The view from the back porch was amazing. Condo was well suited for those with children, no stairs to climb and plenty of games and toys to keep little ones occupied. Gas fireplace was convenient. The gated community it is located in is especially picturesque during the winter months. We took a short drive in the neighborhood up the mountain and came to a secluded snow covered trail where we enjoyed playing in the untouched snow. Also, just across the street from the neighborhood is a nice trail to go exploring in the woods and cross over a small river, very serene. This was all for free and we had the whole place to ourselves. The girls at the front office were especially helpful and nice, answering questions I had and offering restaurant suggestions. Would recommend trying Woodlands for BBQ, about a 15min drive into Blowing Rock(you drove by it when you came into town) but well worth it. Only complaint I had was the Internet. The unit advertised as having wifi but I couldn't connect with my mobile devices. When I talked to the front office they said the unit had Internet but it wasn't wireless, they had wifi at the community pool. If I had known I would've brought a laptop and not my iPad, this is not usually a big deal to me since i don't conduct work from my computer or care about social media but was tedious when looking up info regarding activities and dining especially since the 3G is spotty in the MTNS. This didn't hinder my fantastic opinion of this place, location is great, far enough from downtown without feeling too remote. I would not hesitate staying here again with my family, we were sad to leave.

Incredible view

This unit offered a incredible view of Grandfather Mountain from the living room, master suite and porch. It was wonderful to relax and enjoy the vista. There are plenty of windows to allow natural light into the unit. The unit is comfortable, spacious and offered ample storage throughout. The kitchen is well equipped. The beds were comfortable enough for us. It should be noted that the fireplace is now a noisy electric insert. We thought it would be a gas fireplace so that was disappointing. This is a second floor unit. It is nice that there are no stairs. However there is a price to pay for that convenience. The owners live upstairs. The floors are thin enough that it sounded like a herd of elephants were at the rodeo. It should be noted that you need a car to drive to the resort clubhouse and pools. The roads are very steep, curvy and do not allow for walking around. We would like to return to Echota however it will only be if we can rent a top floor unit.
