Description: Located in the beautiful development of Echota on the Ridge, this two-bedroom, two-bathroom main floor (entry level, no stairs) condo is perfect for your next vacation. This condo is fully furnished with everything you would need for a long retreat or a short weekend getaway. The kitchen is well equipped to prepare meals and the living room is inviting with a gas log fireplace and amazing mountain views. Curl up, get cozy and read a book, watch TV or take a nap…. the choice is yours! Guests of this unit have access to the deck from the living room or primary bedroom where they can breathe in fresh mountain air while gazing at the mountains and listening to the sounds of nature. Enjoy a short mountain getaway to relax or an extended stay and explore all the High Country has to offer. 

Resorts' Amenities: Amenities in these gated resorts include indoor and outdoor (seasonal May 1 - Oct. 1) swimming pools with hot tubs, two private clubhouses, fitness rooms, stocked fishing ponds, a 23-acre riverfront park, community hiking trails and catch and release fishing.

Location: This Resort is centrally located to Boone, Banner Elk, Valle Crucis and Blowing Rock in the Foscoe area. The convenient location makes it just minutes away from all the High Country’s most famous attractions such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and Caverns, and Appalachian State University.  If you are looking for winter sports there are several different options from Hawksnest Snow Tubing, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, Beech Mountain Ski Resort, and Appalachian Ski Resort. Relax and enjoy the slow pace of the mountains and the fresh air or be adventurous and go hiking, fishing, biking, or sight-seeing. Some other things people enjoy are shopping, antiquing, skiing, golfing and miniature golfing, ziplining, go-karts, and gem mining.

We really enjoyed this place. Nice views, comfortable, well maintained. Kitchen was pretty well equipped (Suggestion: some tongs would be a helpful & inexpensive addition for cooking). Only less than stellar aspect- hot tub at clubhouse was not very hot, and the pool area (mainly floors) could use a little more attention, cleaning wise. Overall, a great place and we'd definitely stay again.

This property was very nice. Everything was clean and worked as expected. We enjoyed the kitchen, living area, and the deck was great with a beautiful view of the mountains. Both pools are a drive away, with the outdoor pool being the closest. It looked nice, but was too cold (in August) to use it. Thankfully, the indoor pool was perfect for us to wind down in the evenings.

Ski trip to the mountains

Came up to enjoy the area and do a little snow skiing. Place was well maintained and roads were maintained considering the snow that had fallen. Suggest four-wheel drive in the winter.

Great location, Great place to stay and enjoy the mountains. Centrally located to the ski resorts and Boone. Only negative was hot tub was not closed to condo during the winter months, it was in a different part of the resort and required a car trip to reach.

WONDERFUL

The condo in person looks just like the pictures. It was VERY clean and had a great homey feel, easy to get to and just a short drive to Hawksnest snow tubing park. We will definitely return and will recommend to friends and family. We were even able to enjoy a dusting of snow the day we left, and saw deer in the parking lot on our first night there. My daughter was in AWE!

Restful retreat

This condo was everything we had hoped for. The photos reflect the actual unit. Everything was clean and well maintained. I will recommend this property to friends and family. I recommend Appalachian University Summer Festival activities, and performances all year long at the University Schafer Center.

Nice Spot

Gas fireplace didn’t work upon arrival took over 24 hours and 4 follow up phone calls before someone came to property. There was no clear indication pointed out where the pool or trash dumpster were located. Also, they should inform you it is quite a hike to the pool, and you need to bring your own towels, no towels provided at the community pool. Heater pool felt like a cold bath, and the gym was a little cluttered with machinery non operational.

Exactly what we needed!

The property was as described and met our needs. It was just the two of us but we would have had plenty of room if another couple had joined us. The kitchen was well-equipped, and we enjoyed the view from the deck. We did not use the grill so cannot comment on its cleanliness or ease of use. The biggest irritant was the number of remotes required to use each TV, but we eventually figured it all out and we were fine. Brighter lamps in the living room would be nice for reading at night. Overall, our stay was nice and we’d rent here again!

More Winter Wonderland family Memories

Beautiful fireplaced greatly used given we picked a winter storm weekend! Perfect amount of extra throw blankets and pillows. Great internet and Netflix especially when we decided to bunker in and play it safe; and not drive to the ski resort on day 2 of our stay. They had a perfect amount of cook wear, dishes, and a deck of cards we used greatly (Thank you!). Note you definitely need good tires, a 4X4 car, and comfortable driving in deep/iced roads. The roads are nicely paved and cleaned/salted. However, it is about1.8 miles curvy down the mountain road that leads to the main road. The facility did a wonderful job cleaning. But, mother nature dropped at least 8 feet of snow allowing us to snowboard down the street. (It was a nice lever Green slope with no lift!) We were not comfortable making the drive to the local ski resort when we could safely play at the condo's hills/streets.

App State Football Weekend

The property was as described in the listing. We were unclear that it was in a different location than the main Echota property, but figured it out upon studying the accompanying map when checking in. The only complaint was the master bed...that mattress...still having back pain on Monday! Otherwise a great property and a fun weekend.

We enjoyed our ski snowboarding trip

I truly enjoyed my trip at this property. It was definitely worth the price. The other critique I have is that the sleeper sofa was terribly uncomfortable. I would bring a blow up mattress or something because it was difficult for two of our six to sleep. Other than that it was great

Cozy, Comfortable Retreat

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay in your mountain condo. We loved everything about it...beautiful view, extremely comfortable beds, TVs in each bedroom and family room, fireplace that warmed us up quickly, well-stocked kitchen, and a cozy and intimate kitchen and family room area. It also had easy access on the ground floor with no stairs to climb so we were able to just roll our luggage right in. Foscoe Rentals provided great instructions for checking in and out, clear directions to the property as well as the clubhouse and pools. The packet we picked up at check-in contained everything we needed to know. We had a wonderful time!
