This Celebrity hideaway was once the home of the famed Desi and Lucy Arnez from the"I Love Lucy Show". Find the serenity that they cherished at this quiet, 3BR, 3BA mountain-backed home, This gorgeous mid-century modern Alexander-style home offers panoramic views of the San Jacinto Mountains and is in close proximity to area entertainment and outdoor activities.

This home offers 2 master suites.

A short hallway leads to the first stylish King bedroom which grants access to the outside pool area. A king-size bed, 56ā€ wall-mounted TV, and a sitting area with plush armchairs all face the beautiful mountain views.

This modern bathroom has top mounted sink with lots of counter space and a tiled walk-in shower.

The second master also has expansive mountain views. Sprawl out in a king-size bed facing a 62ā€ wall-mounted TV. Enjoy direct access to the pool area and an en-suite bath with large walk-in shower.

The 3rd bedroom has a queen-size bed, 48ā€ wall-mounted TV, and an en-suite bathroom with a tub/shower combination and dual-sink vanity set against mosaic tiles.


Set against a gorgeous backdrop of mountains and swaying date palm trees, your private backyard is a true tropical oasis. Sunsets are breathtaking. Take a dip in the pool or sink into the hot tub, then collapse onto one of the 6 chaise lounge chairs. The Pool can be heated for an additional charge, the heating of the spa is included in the rental. The covered patio offers lots of shade for those who want protection from the sun. Later, spark up the gas grill in the poolside cooking area, and pluck a chilled bottle from your outdoor refrigerator for evening drinks. The outdoor lounge area has a large gas fire table, perfect for late night conversations with friends and family.

Chic and contemporary, the stylishly furnished open living space is awash with light that pours in through large doors and windows leading to the outside pool area.


UTILITIES:
Utilities are charged upon consumption. A utilities deposit of $3,000 will be held on guests credit card. Consumption charges are billed at the per diem rate from the current utilities cost, without mark-up. Owners will provide utilities bill to guest showing total guest consumption and rates to be paid. With advance written notification, the pool can be heated upon the request of Renter, hot tub heat is controlled via a remote at the property.

Desiā€™s Love Shack

We come to the desert twice a year and always rent a different house for 5 or 6 weeks. This house is one of the best. The interior has been renovated and is very beautiful-better than the pictures show. The house is bright. The views are magnificent. The backyard is large. The pool and hot tub are great. Overall the house has great style. We made some friends in the neighborhood who invited us over for dinner and will visit us in Chicago. Louisa and her team were very responsive to our needs. Rent this house. You will love it.

What a wonderful stay. With everything going on we were so looking forward to this getaway and it did not disappoint. Louisa, the property manager was wonderful and our stay was perfect in every way. We will be back!

Fun retreat for all ages

Renting this property was easy as Sunday Morning. No contact check in and check out. The communication with the property manager was done via email. All information was clear and concise. Now about the property. I mean it has that WOW factor. Everything you would want from a Palm Springs get away. The mid century mod house had never ending views to the backyard. The pool was the focal point to our stay. Large enough for a big gathering. We BBqd and listened to the surround sound options. This home has been completely upgraded with furnishings that compliment the homes history but offer modern touches. The tech in this house is also first rate. You dint need to leave the entire time you are there. Great staycation option.

Relaxing oasis

We came from PA to meet up with family who live in CA and 6 adults stayed at the Lucy & Desi Hideaway! It was everything we expected and more. We only left once to go out to dinner... I mean really look at the pictures, why would you want to leave! Quiet and beautiful area yet close to restaurants and stores . Backyard oasis for daytime and nighttime. Enjoyed the little putting range in the front yard. Kitchen stocked to prepare gourmet meals if you like. each couple had their own private bedroom with en-suite bathroom. My only suggestion/hope is the owner would repair the backyard mister on the property...it would help with bugs and of course the high heat. Other than that, we canā€™t wait to to return someday...sooner rather than later!

Paradise!!!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Lucy & Desiā€™s hideaway!! Itā€™s simply paradise- the photos donā€™t do it justice. By far the best place weā€™ve stayed! We appreciated all the thoughtful touches throughout the house and the amenities provided. A Big Thank You to Louisa for being so wonderful to work with. We will definitely be back!

Empfehlenswert, jederzeit wieder!

Ein Ferienhaus zum WohlfĆ¼hlen. Beim Eintreten fĆ¼hlten wir uns direkt wie zu Hause. Wir fĆ¼hlten uns willkommen. Louisa, die Hausagentin, hat immer innerhalb weniger Stunden auf Fragen geantwortet. Alles hat gepasst, auch der Preis. Man bekommt ein tolles Haus, mit toller Ausstattung in einer ruhigen Wohngegend.

Pros-cute house, nice pool, fun putting green, close to shops and restaurants. Cons-beds were way too firm, some of outdoor furniture was not clean, no music allowed outdoors at any time-regardless of volume, no one allowed outdoors on the property after 10:00 pm

Fabulous Getaway!

My boyfriend and I rented this property and had a bit of a reunion with old friends who met us at Lucy & Desi's. Let me just say, I have rented many homes in the Palm Desert and this is BY FAR, my best experience yet! The house was PERFECT in every way!!! Master suites on opposite sides of the house, the outdoor space was AMAZING, with beautiful mountain views and was equipped with everything you need! Louisa was AWESOME! Upon our arrival, I inquired about pool floats and she literally dropped off 2 brand new, top of the line floats within a few hours! Cannot wait to book again! Thank you for sharing your home :)

House had some odd things

A few things we thought should not have been: 1. Large TV in a box in the living room. 2. Sliding door handle on backwards made it hard to get into the master from outside. 3. The bathroom sinks are set so far back you can barely get your toothbrush under the water and hard to wash your hands. 4. Construction debris on the driveway. 5. Broken gate by the BBQ . 6. The indoor dining table chairs are too short for the table. 7. Pool was dirty, we had to clean it before we could use it.

Beautiful Home!

Beautiful home. Would definitely stay again, but the listing was a bit confusing. One part said there were 2 kings and 2 queens, but another said there was 2 kings and 1 queen. 2 kings and one king is correct. The home has a great mix to feel modern and retro at the same time. Very comfortable and private. Be careful though, the tile floors inside and out are VERY slippery. Wonderful views. You'll want to spend all your time in the pool or on the patio relaxing. Great space!

Fabulous- Like a hotel!

This house is gorgeous, everything you want out of a vacation home. It's clean, organized, everyone has their own private bedroom and bathroom. The smallest bed is a queen, which is great. The beds are comfortable, the couch is super comfortable, large kitchen, beautiful backyard...there's even a large shaded area to lounge when the sun gets too hot. I'm renting this property again soon!

Glorious!

We had an excellent time at Lucy & Desi's Hideaway. House is beautiful and Louisa was very attentive to any of our questions. Only change that doesn't seem to be made yet on VRBO posting is that one of the rooms does NOT have two queen beds...just one. We will for sure book again!

Nice property great for friends & family

We visited in early January and it was a bit cool but with the warm pool and hot tub, we were able to use the property to its fullest. We were celebrating a late Christmas with our family and Palm Springs was a mutually convenient place to do it. We found the home clean and well stocked. Pool and yard are nicely maintained and clean. Plenty of on-site parking for 3 couples. Nice view and good privacy. We highly recommend this property!

Great house in great location. Perfect for families!

We had a great time in our first-ever visit to PS and the Coachella Valley. Plenty of space, beautiful pool and spa deck, and we made ample use of the gas grill. The fire table feature was a centerpiece for several cocktail hours and meals, and the nighttime lighting made staying out past dark lots of fun. We slept well and awoke each day to gorgeous mountain views. Thank you, Louisa, for providing everything to make our visit precious and memorable.

Fantastic home in both amenities and design

The photos are real, book it now before it is too late. The design centers around the amazing backyard with a gorgeous pool / spa and even better mountain views.The layout of the house felt like we had our own private wing when sharing with another family. A southwest facing yard means plenty of sun all day. At night the fire pit and pool along with the decorative lighting make it feel like your own resort. The neighborhood is the perfect mix of seclusion but still close to the shopping and restaurants at the River. I got to met Louisa the property manager and she was just as wonderful in person.

Amazing!

Loved the house! We will definitely come back here again. Everything was perfect!!! They even had a storage room with extra towels, blankets, paper towels, etc... and a cabinet filled with different food seasonings. Thank you for an amazing couples getaway!

A vintage/modern gem with awesome backyard!

I loved the layout of this house! The interior and the backyard! We went for a bachelorette party and it was the perfect setting to the weekend. We actually ended up barely leaving the house because it was so comfy. We swam and grilled our hearts out! Also, the property manager Louisa was a dream to work with and was very responsive/accommodating! Would highly recommend for a fun and relaxing girlsā€™ weekend!
