In September of 2024, the barrier island of Mad Beach (as it has been affectionately dubbed by the locals) was directly impacted by Hurricane Helene. While some ground floor units in the complex and most local businesses have reopened, some remain under reconstruction. In addition, the area is experiencing rapid growth and an influx of new development.

In the adjoining ROC park, overlooking the bay and along the stunning waterside walking path, you’ll find tennis, pickle ball, basketball, baseball, yoga & fitness classes, a children’s playground and a splash park. Across the bay, paddle boards and kayaks are available for rent. Restaurants, bars, shops, adventure golf, and ice cream shops and bars, including the infamous Saltwater Hippie - are all within EASY WALKING DISTANCE, along with a library, dollar store, pharmacy and liquor store.

Around the complex, enjoy lounging by either of the two pristine heated pools, fish or take in a sunrise from the pier (both just steps from your door) or stroll the marina docks.

Across the road and at the beach, there is volleyball, paddle boards, dolphins and endless miles of sand and surf. Adventurers can hop on the Sun Coast Beach trolley, running from Clearwater to St.Pete’s Beach, to their destination of choice. Just a 2.3 mile ride away is JOHN’S PASS, a quaint, turn-of the century fishing village and #1 tourist attraction, where you can dolphin watch, shell, parasail, jet ski or shop to your heart’s content.
