Woodland Hills Cottage

Our Guest Cottage is located just south of the Woodland Hills Country Club, in a quiet, safe neighborhood that feels like a world away from the busy city life, but is in fact only minutes from stores, restaurants, and entertainment. This neighborhood has attracted well-known artists of the movie and music industry since the early 1920s and this property was owned by the "Marilyn Monroe" of the silent movies, Clara Bow.

Due to the recent Covid-19 pandemic, please be assured that we are disinfecting all surfaces, as well as using a ozone air purifier between guests for your protection.

Newly renovated, comfortable 500 sqft guest cottage offers Italian travertine in the bathroom, luxurious, all natural queen size pull-out couch bed and a king bed. Inviting decor, full kitchen, private patio, or deck, wireless DSL. YouTube TV, HBO, or Cinemax, Amazone Prime Movies and Netflix provided. With access to a beautiful pool, in a tropical setting as part of the half-acre estate, this romantic cottage truly offers everything necessary for a memorable, comfortable stay.

Perfectly situated, only 30 minutes from Malibu, Venice Beach, Santa Monica, Hollywood, Universal Studios & under 1 hour from Disney Land and Magic Mountain and just over 1 hour to Santa Barbara.

The Mulholland Scenic Corridor and its hiking trails are in walking distance, just around the corner, attracting mountain biker's and hikers alike.

Minutes away from Old Town Calabasas with its historic buildings, hanging tree and many rustic stores, restaurants, and a farmers market every weekend.

We are family friendly and hopefully, we'll have an opportunity to welcome you to our little piece of paradise, sometime soon. Families always have lots of fun togethe herer, enjoying the pool, or ping-pong.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay, quaint and homey feel about it. Great location, markets are within a few miles. The place is very quiet, lovely sleeping bed. I will look to stay here again when I come to LA for a visit!

Great location

My sister-in-law and I stayed here for a long weekend while visiting my daughter. The place was very quaint It's my second time staying here. The location is wonderful and very convenient. The owners, Lars and Sunday, are very nice and friendly.

Great little cottage!!

We really enjoyed our stay! The cottage has its own deck with a gorgeous view! The home is located in a great neighborhood and within walking distance to hiking trails. The kitchen is well stocked and great for cooking your own meals as well as barbecuing. And the pool and spa are awesome!! Great stay!!

Great location and clean, comfortable accommodations. Lars and Sunday were attentive and responsive. Perfect for two people - would be quite crowded for four adults. The steam shower was a nice surprise! Would absolutely stay again.

Great place!

We had an excellent time! It was nice to have the kitchen, outdoor grill and deck, and living room. The owners were great -- even met us on the road so we could find their place (the place was a bit difficult to find, especially at first in the dark). The property was lovely, and the area was a cute area.

We make frequent visits to LA and usually have pretty good experiences with the places we stay. This place was perfect for us and Sunday and Lars are wonderful hosts. I will definitely be booking with them again in the future! Totally loved it and it was perfect.

Wonderful spot!

I can't say enough about this place. Incredibly clean and comfortable. Worked for much of my time here and the internet was fast and reliable. The private deck was huge and the hot tub hit the spot on a cool evening! Loved this place and hope to come back.

Great little cottage in the Hills!

Our stay at the Woodland Hills cottage was great. The location is really neat up in the Hills. The inside of the cottage was very quaint and welcoming. The property it’s on is beautiful. We didn’t use the pool or pub but both looked really fun. We slept well and enjoyed our stay.

Very nice property. The Paraduse cottage was great!

We were doing so much during the 4 days we stayed there we didn’t get an opportunity to really take advantage of the great amenities Sunday has. Sunday was great to work with, especially at the last minute like our decision to stay in LA was.

We had a nice time staying at the cottage. The kids enjoyed the pool and the cottage has a huge deck. King bed was comfortable. We could have used a bit more room in the cottage for the 4 of us but much better than a hotel! Husband loved the steam shower!

Lovely location

My husband and I loved our stay at Paradise Cottage. Everything is as advertised, very clean with all amenities. Sunday and Lars are the perfect hosts; friendly and attentive without making their presence obvious. After a long day exploring and sightseeing the pool was wonderful to come home to. I especially loved the spa and steam shower, absolutely wonderful after long hikes. We loved our stay and hope to return to the cottage again.

Very tranquil - as opposite to LA you could wish for - but only a few miles!

Excellent terrace and pool area, peaceful and clean. It’s hard to appreciate from the photos the layout and room sizes...it was a lot smaller than I imagined but only the bathroom felt small. Perfect for 2 or 4 if used as a vase for sleeping. Incredible terrace directly attached via entrance door. Would recommend definitely.

Tranquil Paradise Cottage was a great stay.

Communication with Sunday and Lars great. Met Lars when we were there and he’s a very friendly guy. Pool area great and nobody else around when we use it. Location perfect close to our friends. We made the most of the pool table in their pub area one afternoon. Paradise Cottage was perfect for what we needed and had a great Spanish/rustic vibe with everything we needed. Will definitely look to stay again.

Paradise is the perfect name

As a local to LA, me and my spouse were looking for a getaway without too much travel, and man am I happy we found this place! It feels like a mountain vacation practically in our backyard. The pool was beautiful and relaxing for a poolside book and a swim. The cottage was well equipped for cooking as we ate every meal in. A wonderful stay! Lars made the place feel like visiting a friend as he welcomed us and showed us around the place on arrival. It was fantastic! Can’t wait to come back.

My wife actually spent her teenage years on this amazing property and when it became available in 1997, we just had to buy this beautiful home. We love the city, but don't really like living 'in it', so this was a natural choice, because it feels and sounds like it is many miles from all the hustle and bustle of a big city, but is in fact only minutes from everything we love. Good restaurants, amazing grocery stores like Whole Foods and Henry's as well as all the L.A. attractions that brings visitors to us from all over the world. We have been blessed with visitors that like to come back and refer their friends from all over the world; Asia, South America, Europe and of course all over the US. We like to provide a home away from home, with accommodations and a property that spoils our guests, young and old, with an experience well worth remembering.
We hope to be able to welcome you to one of our two cottages with things that one needs when on vacation and little treats that we wished we would find whenever we travel and stay in vacation rentals. Our goal is to make this a comfortable and exciting stay for you.
