Sur La Mer is a 4 bedroom, 4 bath home on the North end of Cape San Blas with great deck space, water views and plenty of parking - including room for your boat! Newly installed, January 2026, outdoor elevator servicing all levels of the exteror decks. Great option to bring up suitcases, supplies, groceries, etc! Pictures shown in photos.

The stairless walkover is shared by only 3 homes making getting gear to and from the beach a snap.
WIFI and Direct TV provided. Gas Grill. Outdoor shower!
Watch the sunset from one of 2 large decks. Full laundry facilities available in the home.
Easy walk to Coneheads 8020 for a burger or ice cream.

The first story (house is on pilings, so first story is elevated) contains 2 king bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and porch access, a bunkroom with 4 single bunks and a full bath in the hall.

The second story(top floor) is the main living area, kitchen/dining room, a king bedroom and full bathroom. There is also a screened porch running the width of the house on the 2nd floor. The views are priceless and room for the entire family to enjoy!

Awesome Place

We had the best week!! The house is just as described! There is so much room - 6 of us stayed comfortably with an extra unused bed and bath. The living and kitchen areas are both very nice and spacious. The walk to the beach was so short - just a small board walk. We brought our Yorkie and he had a ball on the beach!! Overall an amazing experience!!! Highly recommend!!

Always love the cape!

We had a great time on our trip. The air worked almost to good. The beds slept nice, we do prefer a firmer bed. It could have used a deep clean and the furniture in the living room is a little worn but we hardly used them because the weather was so great we were outside most of the day. The walkway to the beach is nice but it isn’t private as the homes behind you use it as well. Would definitely stay here in the future.

Perfect Family Beach Trip

This is a beautiful home and excellent location. We found everything as described in the VRBO listing. We had excellent communication with the owner and could not of enjoyed ourselves more!

Perfect family stay

Family favorite for Cape gathering

Wonderful house with very good beds, plenty of kitchen equipment and great common areas for hanging out together. Location is great, away from crowded areas. Feels like our own family beach. We love Sur la Mer.

Fantastic home located just steps from the beach on the northern end of the Cape. Convenient to restaurants and the entrance to St. Joseph Peninsula State Park. We all loved it here (especially our Golden Retriever) and would stay again in a heartbeat!

Great family trip!

Perfect location, easy walk to the beach. Had all needed amenities for cooking great meals. Beds were comfortable and everyone loved the screen porch. 2 items to consider upgrading might be the coffee maker and grill, but all in all 5 stars! Thank you for sharing this ideal beach home!

Family vacay 2024

Beach was awesome! Great weather! Loved the house and it accommodated my family well; however, the living area wasn’t cleaned very well. Under the couch and chairs lots of dog hair and dirt. I would definitely stay in this house again.

Great for big group!

Lots of outside space to park cars and boats. We had 2 trucks with boats and 2 cars and had plenty of room. We did have to back boats in with all the cars but wasn't an issue. We loved that every room had their own bathroom.

Property is fantastic. We have stayed here several times. This is the first time we had a slight issue. I text the rental agency and they replied within a couple of minutes. Great customer service when we needed it.

Love the house/location -repeat user

This is our 3rd (maybe 4th?) trip to Sur Le Mer. Great house, love the top level family area/kitchen. easy access to the beach. we have 7 adults plus 2 dogs. more than enough space for all to gather for games yet still have privacy when needed. Screened-in upper deck is a great place to watch the sunset (if you can't make it to the beach) and wonderful for morning coffee before everyone is up.

Best fireworks viewing spot

We really enjoyed having 4 bathrooms with the 4 bedrooms so everyone had their space. The kids enjoyed the beach toys that were there. The kitchen is well stocked with supplies, dishes and utensils. I gave 4 stars for cleanliness because the rugs around the house need to be washed. One by the sliding door was full of sand when I picked it up. A bit more attention to cleaning rugs and under the beds will earn all 5 stars for the beach house. The location near the park is a plus.

Quiet north end location

We enjoyed our stay over the 4th of July holiday. House is located in a quiet neighborhood with a close walk to the beach and had plenty of space for our group, eight adults and one dog. The house was well stocked with essentials and fairly clean, with the exception of some sand on a bed in the bunkroom. The only issue we had was with the rental company. A damage claim was made for a mirror in the bunkroom that was in a closet upon our arrival. The master bedroom also had a mirror in the closet upon our arrival so I didn't think twice about it. The housekeeper reported the bunkroom mirror and a claim was made. Although this doesn't effect my VRBO rating and the damage insurance covered the 75 fee to rehang the mirror Its the principal of the situation! Whatever happened to that mirror wasn't during our stay and the rental agency wasn't hearing it or considering someone else maybe at fault. I recommend anyone staying do walk through and let the agent know about anything “out of place” immediately.

New Years 2020-2021

The property was very clean and nice. I was not able to get the television in the master bedroom (second floor straight in from stairs) to watch my football games. All the other televisions worked. Suggestion on the stairs. The stair handrailing switched sides when going up. So I loaded my good and had the left hand free only to have to switch goods and hands at the turn on the steps. Best recommendation (I was a Director of Liability claims for a national insurer) would be to have hand rails on both sides of the stairs. We had an excellent visit even theough the weather was not the best. Definately recommend. Dave

Disappointing and Unnecessary

We booked from Dec 21-31st. There was NO water for Christmas Eve & Christmas Day. Could NOT flush toilets, wash hands, bath, etc. Had to checkout. Cynthia & Penny from Gnot Forgotten Rentals AND the owner refused to refund the UNUSED nights (we checked out on Christmas Day - 6 days early because of NO WATER). Health and safety issue! Further, the grill is not operational. The furniture is very tired. The kitchen was poorly stocked, not even a pair of kitchen scissors! Difficult to cook. The management company and the owner are completely unethical - unbelievable there is even a discussion when the house had NO water. Do NOT recommend to anyone.

Close to Perfect

The stay was good! Had everything we needed and more. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies. Rooms accommodated our 9 well. Walk to the beach was short and pleasant. The only problem we had was one bed had sand on the sheets, dog hair and sand on the comforter Another bed had sand. We had to wash our own sheets and comforters. Once that was cleared up everything was fine!

Repeat stay for our family

Our second stay at Sur La Mer was a wonderful experience. The house is very comfortable for our family of seven adults and one child. The beautiful weather allowed us to make great use of the outdoor porches and the location of the house let us enjoy daily sunrises over the bay and sunsets over the Gulf. We are planning to return for visit #3 next summer.

Awesome family vacation

We had a wonderful time. 6 adults plus 2 dogs. Plenty of space for all and more. Description was a bit brief. The layout worked very well - 3 beds/baths on second level, 4th bed/bath on 3rd level with kitchen and living space. Fort me, being the old man, walking out of my bedroom to the kitchen for coffee then stepping out to the deck to watch the sunrise was great. The biggest negative for us was the boardwalk to the beach - it is stepless until you get to the beach where you will find about 20 steps. Yes we would stay here again.

Relaxing vacation

Fantastic stay

We loved the home and area! Beautiful house that made our stay comfortable and very enjoyable. Just a few steps to the beach and the sunsets were incredible. Kitchen well stocked and layout allowed everyone space and comfort. There were a lot of stairs like other reviewers but was good for us to get the steps in. We took advantage of great restaurants just a short walk from house. Highly recommend!
