Family Trip to Notre Dame Game

This is a lovely place in a quiet area, very conveniently located - just a short drive to everything you would need. Check in process was easy and the host Jeff was very friendly and provided clear instructions. Would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing reunion

The property was a great little get away for our family. The lake is beautiful and relaxing and there were nice touches provided for us, such as bottled water and coffee. We left feeling rejuvenated.

Anna and her guests were very respectful of the property and very clean. These are the kind of guests you want in your home. I highly recommend renting to this group and would love them to come back and stay with us.

Another great stay!

We have stayed at Jeff & Lonnie's place for a number of years now. If you're looking for the most clean and practical place to stay for your getaway, this is definitely it! We look forward to coming back again for our annual trip to Notre Dame. Thank you Jeff and Lonnie for being incredible hosts!

Only getting better!

We have been staying at Jeff's place for a few years now and it gets better every time. Super clean, easy to get to, very quiet, and always a great time. We will be back next year...and hopefully many more!

Had a great stay at this Notre Dame University rental for 2nights while attending the Texas A&M vs the Irish football game. Everything was as stated in the description and the host offered lots of local recommendations! Thanks again Jeff and Lonnie such gracious host.

Check in was fine. The owner was very communicative and available. The kitchen was more like a cabin kitchen. Cute, but small. Bedrooms were comfy. We enjoyed our stay.

Yes, this entire home has a “cottage” feel not a fancy home so the kitchen would resemble that of a “cabin “ kitchen and is small, The photos on the site would have identified that. I am very disappointed in the “C” (8/10) rating we received when all of our previous reviews were 5/5.. We take great pride in the cleanliness of our home, even going above and beyond as well as the communication to be sure that all of their expectations have been met. With that said, I could have knit-picked this customer stay but felt that they had met our expectations as customers so there would be no reason to do so.

Attended the Notre Dame Ohio State football game

This house was excellent for our group. Well equipped decorated so nice. It was perfect. Our host was excellent to work with and so informative We loved our stay and would recommend this house

Lake House

Beautiful home on lake. Went to MI for wineries. Grilled dinner both nights at house. Perfect weekend.

Lodging for ND Game Weekend

We were in town for a Notre Dame football game. This house was perfect for our group which consisted of 3 couples. It was a nice weekend, so we spent most of our time sitting on the patio enjoying the surrounds of the huge yard and lakefront. We will definitely stay here again if available.

My favorite kind of guests are Notre Dame fans! They are always so very clean and respectful of the property. Steve and his group are the kind of guests you want in your home and I highly recommend them with “5” stars for any Vrbo Owner! Long football weekend rental

We rented this pretty lake home for a football weekend to Notre Dame. The home was spotless and well appointed with the lake being an added bonus. We would highly recommend and hope to revisit in the future.

Amazing Stay!

We had a wonderful stay! We loved the property and really enjoyed the beautiful views of the lake! The birds, ducks, cranes, and swans were beautiful and fun to watch. Loved the big windows and spacious bedrooms. The large table in the dining room was perfect for our family to gather around at dinner. The owner was very kind and communicated with us from check in to check out with helpful advice. Thank you for a wonderful stay! Highly recommend!

Peace and quiet

Nice home with plenty of space for the 6 of us. Not a great swimming area off the deck but not far to go to swim. Bedding is great. Paper products and toiletries provided was nice.

Jeff and Lonnie are the best of the best. This was our second time staying at their house and we couldn't be more impressed. The most clean rental we have ever seen! This place is a must rent!!!

Great lake get away for ND football game

Beautiful lake lot only 20 minutes from Notre Dame Stadium. This home was very clean and has lots of communal gathering space with a really great view of the water. The owner provides very clear directions for check-in and anything you might need for your stay. It was also a very nice touch to be welcomed with cold waters and snacks.

Quick Trip to South Bend Area

Had a great trip out to South Bend and Jeff made us feel right at home. The home was well put together and Jeff checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. Additionally, he knew we had little kids with us and left out treats and the sprinkler for them- which they all enjoyed. Great trip- thanks Jeff and family for hosting!

Joel and his family were fabulous Guests, you would not even know that he had a three, five, seven and 10-year-old there. They were very clean and respected the house and property. These are the guests that you absolutely want to have, highly recommended!

From the moment you walk in you feel welcomed.

This cabin-like property has all the comforts of home. Lots of space to dine and relax together. The owners make an effort to make your stay nice by adding small touches here and there (we noticed!). Jeff always made sure he was available to answer any questions. We had a great time and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Our absolutely “cleanest” guests yet and we’ve had many! You just love walking into your home and noticing that besides the linen, you would not have guessed you had any one staying. Sheri and her group are highly recommended!

Lakefront weekend getaway

The home on the lake is beautiful and perfect for groups. It is a great location - just far enough to be peaceful while also being conveniently located off the highway and relatively close to other activities and restaurants. The home is super cute with gorgeous windows and a fabulous deck we enjoyed coffee on. We took the kayaks out and enjoyed a fire in the evenings. It was easy to check in and Jeff was very responsive and understanding when we ended up having a flat tire and needed to check out late. Would definitely recommend staying.

Long overdue family getaway!

We haven't been together as a family in over a year and was looking for a quiet, peaceful, relaxing home with a lake view....and we found it! The house was perfect for what we were looking for! House and kitchen was fully stocked. Owners left plenty of coffee and amenities to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The owner checked in often and offered suggestions on places to visit or try out! Quiet but also close enough to shopping, restaurants and wineries! Will definitely visit again!

Family weekend at Notre Dame

My family (2 adults and 3 children) stayed with my parents for a weekend during football season. It’s relatively close to campus and made setting up the tailgate and getting ready for the game an easy process. After the game it was a very comfortable and peaceful spot to relax and catch some rest before driving home the next day. There is a playground in the backyard that was perfect for our kids. The sunrise and sunsets over the lake made for a relaxing escape from Chicago and Columbus.

Notre Dame Football game

My son and I and a few friends wanted to go to the UC vs ND football game when we saw it on the schedule. None of us had been to Notre Dame. We found this great place on VRBO and it worked out perfect for our trip and group. It was extremely clean and the owners were awesome to work with. Very accommodating and communication was outstanding. Nearby resturaunt they recommended was fantastic! I would highly recommend this house and will contact them again if we decode to come up that way in the future.

These are the guests that you want in your home! It seems to be the norm with almost every renter that I have, you would never notice anyone was in here except for the linen, no exception with this group. I highly recommend anyone looking to rent to these travelers, they were awesome!

We were two couples who came into town for the Notre Dame football game. The location was less than 30 minutes from campus, sitting on a peaceful lake. Jeff, our host, was very communicative and had many helpful suggestions (places to eat, etc). The cabin was clean and the common space more than accommodated our party. There is one bathroom upstairs where the bedrooms are and two full bathrooms downstairs. The kitchen was tight on counter space but was adequate for preparing breakfasts. I appreciated the large dining table and sectional couch, where we could spread out. Unfortunately we were so busy we didn’t get time to enjoy the lake and water sports. I would definitely stay here again.

WOW, what a view!

This home is located on the lake with large frontage to the waterway. While you can truly enjoy the outside with the lush green grass, charming patio, and kayaks just step inside for the relaxing atmosphere. The main room overlooking the lake features a wall of windows to bring in the sunshine. Plus, you have plenty of space to enjoy a meal or play board games. We filled the beds with football enthusiasts (located only 25 minutes from Notre Dame). We all left feeling that we could have just stayed here and watched the game on the on the large TV and enjoyed the sunset. We hope to come back soon! NOTE: the owners were spot on with their communication and made us feel welcome with all the extra amenities.
