Please note: before you “request to book” you must do an inquiry first as this is our 2nd home and I must discuss certain details before I approve. This home has everything you need that you would expect in your own home....plus! Min “2” night stay except for holidays, required “3” night stay and “single” night stay for the National Championship play-offs. Max stay 6 nights (longer stay must be approved), must be either a registered VRBO or Expedia member to book. Rent this beautiful 2 Story Home on Garver Lake just 15 miles to Notre Dame University! Dine at Fat Cams restaurant within walking distance or grill out on the patio. Enjoy your morning “cup of Joe” on the upper deck overlooking our private pier or just enjoy the wildlife (swans, sand cranes and the sounds of Mother Nature) Build a bonfire down by the lake or play frisbee or your favorite catch on our well-lit 2000 watt lake-front yard! Take one of our (4) kayaks out on the lake or bring your own boat and leave it at our pier. PLEASE NOTE, there is “NO” beach access on the property! Public boat access for launching and swimming is available on this 76 acre lake with Large and Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Panfish and Yellow Perch. 4 outdoor security cameras, yard, front and upper deck with sensor -driven lights around the house. A driver license photo ID is required “48” hours post booking. LBGTQ welcome! Inquiries welcome.

Family Trip to Notre Dame Game

This is a lovely place in a quiet area, very conveniently located - just a short drive to everything you would need. Check in process was easy and the host Jeff was very friendly and provided clear instructions. Would definitely stay here again.

Another great stay!

We have stayed at Jeff & Lonnie's place for a number of years now. If you're looking for the most clean and practical place to stay for your getaway, this is definitely it! We look forward to coming back again for our annual trip to Notre Dame. Thank you Jeff and Lonnie for being incredible hosts!

Relaxing reunion

The property was a great little get away for our family. The lake is beautiful and relaxing and there were nice touches provided for us, such as bottled water and coffee. We left feeling rejuvenated.

We have been staying at Jeff's place for a few years now and it gets better every time. Super clean, easy to get to, very quiet, and always a great time. We will be back next year...and hopefully many more!

Attended the Notre Dame Ohio State football game

This house was excellent for our group. Well equipped decorated so nice. It was perfect. Our host was excellent to work with and so informative We loved our stay and would recommend this house

Quick Trip to South Bend Area

Had a great trip out to South Bend and Jeff made us feel right at home. The home was well put together and Jeff checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. Additionally, he knew we had little kids with us and left out treats and the sprinkler for them- which they all enjoyed. Great trip- thanks Jeff and family for hosting!

Lodging for ND Game Weekend

We were in town for a Notre Dame football game. This house was perfect for our group which consisted of 3 couples. It was a nice weekend, so we spent most of our time sitting on the patio enjoying the surrounds of the huge yard and lakefront. We will definitely stay here again if available.

Long football weekend rental

We rented this pretty lake home for a football weekend to Notre Dame. The home was spotless and well appointed with the lake being an added bonus. We would highly recommend and hope to revisit in the future.

Amazing Stay!

We had a wonderful stay! We loved the property and really enjoyed the beautiful views of the lake! The birds, ducks, cranes, and swans were beautiful and fun to watch. Loved the big windows and spacious bedrooms. The large table in the dining room was perfect for our family to gather around at dinner. The owner was very kind and communicated with us from check in to check out with helpful advice. Thank you for a wonderful stay! Highly recommend!

Family weekend at Notre Dame

My family (2 adults and 3 children) stayed with my parents for a weekend during football season. It’s relatively close to campus and made setting up the tailgate and getting ready for the game an easy process. After the game it was a very comfortable and peaceful spot to relax and catch some rest before driving home the next day. There is a playground in the backyard that was perfect for our kids. The sunrise and sunsets over the lake made for a relaxing escape from Chicago and Columbus.

Peace and quiet

Nice home with plenty of space for the 6 of us. Not a great swimming area off the deck but not far to go to swim. Bedding is great. Paper products and toiletries provided was nice.

Jeff and Lonnie are the best of the best. This was our second time staying at their house and we couldn't be more impressed. The most clean rental we have ever seen! This place is a must rent!!!

Great lake get away for ND football game

Beautiful lake lot only 20 minutes from Notre Dame Stadium. This home was very clean and has lots of communal gathering space with a really great view of the water. The owner provides very clear directions for check-in and anything you might need for your stay. It was also a very nice touch to be welcomed with cold waters and snacks.

From the moment you walk in you feel welcomed.

This cabin-like property has all the comforts of home. Lots of space to dine and relax together. The owners make an effort to make your stay nice by adding small touches here and there (we noticed!). Jeff always made sure he was available to answer any questions. We had a great time and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

The best of the best!

We have been travelling to Notre Dame from Canada for 11+ years and this was our favorite property so far. Jeff and Lonnie were incredible hosts and we were most impressed with the cleanliness of the house. It was spotless! A lot of space, easy to access, and an incredible lake view. We hope to be back next year! Thank you Jeff and Lonnie!

Lakefront weekend getaway

The home on the lake is beautiful and perfect for groups. It is a great location - just far enough to be peaceful while also being conveniently located off the highway and relatively close to other activities and restaurants. The home is super cute with gorgeous windows and a fabulous deck we enjoyed coffee on. We took the kayaks out and enjoyed a fire in the evenings. It was easy to check in and Jeff was very responsive and understanding when we ended up having a flat tire and needed to check out late. Would definitely recommend staying.

Long overdue family getaway!

We haven't been together as a family in over a year and was looking for a quiet, peaceful, relaxing home with a lake view....and we found it! The house was perfect for what we were looking for! House and kitchen was fully stocked. Owners left plenty of coffee and amenities to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The owner checked in often and offered suggestions on places to visit or try out! Quiet but also close enough to shopping, restaurants and wineries! Will definitely visit again!

Notre Dame Football game

My son and I and a few friends wanted to go to the UC vs ND football game when we saw it on the schedule. None of us had been to Notre Dame. We found this great place on VRBO and it worked out perfect for our trip and group. It was extremely clean and the owners were awesome to work with. Very accommodating and communication was outstanding. Nearby resturaunt they recommended was fantastic! I would highly recommend this house and will contact them again if we decode to come up that way in the future.

WOW, what a view!

This home is located on the lake with large frontage to the waterway. While you can truly enjoy the outside with the lush green grass, charming patio, and kayaks just step inside for the relaxing atmosphere. The main room overlooking the lake features a wall of windows to bring in the sunshine. Plus, you have plenty of space to enjoy a meal or play board games. We filled the beds with football enthusiasts (located only 25 minutes from Notre Dame). We all left feeling that we could have just stayed here and watched the game on the on the large TV and enjoyed the sunset. We hope to come back soon! NOTE: the owners were spot on with their communication and made us feel welcome with all the extra amenities.

Peace + Calm

A lovely home filled with all the functions of home! Easy to navigate cooking as it was well stocked! Homeowners are very generous with their personal property - although we have never met they made us feel like family with all the warmth and charm!

Fantastic Experience!

Five college buddies from the 1970's got together for a football weekend. Our host periodically checked in with us to make sure our stay met all expectations. It did, and more. Enough bathrooms & showers to handle us easily. Property is a beautiful and spacious home that anyone would be happy to call their primary residence instead of "just" a lake house. Cooked two dinners on the outside gas-fired grill. All cooking & dining utensils were in the kitchen. Long dining table that could have accommodated twice our number made for a wonderful group indoor dining experience. Very comfortable sectional sofa allowed for big screen TV viewing & for chatting. Bedrooms were spacious & comfortable. Beautiful view of the lake from the balcony of two of those bedrooms. Side patio with umbrella table & chairs is where we spent much of our time. VERY quite neighborhood and a spacious back yard that led down to the lake access. Wonderful experience- highly recommend. Two of our group are world travelers, and they were very impressed.
