This will likely be the cleanest VRBO accommodation I will ever stay in; my immune system might have been weakened from the experience. The property is so well thought out that it should be used as a template for others in the industry. I chuckled at the plexiglass TV remote holders attached to the armoire; this is how all things are considered for your stay. There is a fire pit, wood burning BBQ, front porch rockers, a tv loft, and a special loft for kids in one of the bedrooms. For proximity to the West Fork and features of the Bitterroot Valley, this is a spot on property for a couple (like we used it) or for a family or two.

Authentic log home on acreage. We stayed there for a week with our dog. Very quiet, clean, and safe. Loved looking out the windows in the morning to see the deer and turkeys roaming the property. Owners were great and helpful but respected our privacy.

Perfect getaway

The Calaway Lodge is the perfect getaway. Lovely property, very well kept up. The rental was clean and furnished with a mountain theme. We enjoyed all the wildlife in the area, deer, elk, foxes, chipmunk's, squirrels and more. The hosts were very nice and accommodating. A pleasure to work with. We look forward to coming back.

Calaway Lodge

The Calaway Lodge was fantastic. The hosts, Phillip and Martia have every detail covered. They were so nice and gave great suggestions for places to go. I highly recommend Painted Rock Lake a few miles down the road to the west and the drive to Baker Lake is awesome. It is a dirt road that is more like a logging road with one way traffic but well worth the 10 mile drive up the switchbacks. Overall great place to stay and we will be back soon!

Amazing and beautiful

The pictures do not do this place justice. It is more beautiful in person. This rental is clean and comfortable and it was great that they allow pets. The hosts were kind, friendly and helpful. There is the most beautiful reservoir just 4 miles up the road and abundant wildlife. White tailed deer, fox and moose. Loved our visit!! We hope to return and would book this rental again. Thank you Philip and Marita!!

Peaceful and beautiful

The cleanliness was absolutely outstanding. The presentation and decoration a delight. Thoughtful consideration for the needs of vacationers away from home. The kitchen had every appliance, spices, backup can foods. The landscape was wonderful. Awesome view and lots of animals to watch. Turkey, deer, elk, crane and even a humming bird. We also met the owner Philip and Marita and they were friendly and shared helpful info about the area. Definitely loved the stay here. It went too fast.

Dream Rental

To say that we had an amazing time would be a drastic understatement. I booked this gorgeous cabin for use during Christmas and messaged the host letting them know I would be bringing my husband, 4 children, and 3 dogs. She promptly messaged back asking the kids ages just in case Santa wanted to visit. We arrived to the entire cabin decorated for Christmas, including gifts under the tree for each kiddo, dog, and ourselves. They were the sweetest gifts. We awoke each day to watch Phillip, the host, out front feeding a herd of deer. He also told us of Bandit, the fox, and how much he enjoys them. It was very cool to witness. On Christmas Eve, Marita surprised our family with a platter of fresh made cookies and treats. It was so sweet! Marita asked several times (via Vrbo message) throughout our stay if there was anything we needed. It wasn’t until Christmas Day that somehow the bathroom door was accidently locked and we weren’t able to get it open. We went next door and knocked on the door and Phillip immediately came to get it unlocked, doing so quickly. SIDE NOTE: I honestly hesitated to book this property because it is connected to the hosts home but it was all the privacy we needed! As I said before, aside from the cookies, feeding the deer, and becoming an emergency locksmith, they weren’t seen. It was secluded and quiet! Overall, it was a lovely experience and their beautiful cabin had everything we needed, and some! We hope to be back again next year! Mackey

Perfection!

The photos of this place do not do it justice. Everything pictured is FAR BEYOND expectations. Quality furnishings, so well taken care of and extremely clean. Marita had the entire place so tastefully decorated for the season. It could have not been more perfect. I hope to go back one day to this perfect Montana cabin in the woods.
