The Grand Creek Retreat won't disappoint! Located directly on Caney Creek in Sargent, Texas this house is great for families and groups. It is located in a quiet, uncrowded setting with ample parking Accommodations are comfortable and spacious including: updated kitchen, large dining area (with a table that will accommodate 10 or more seating at the same time), 4 bedrooms and 3 baths. The master suite has a king size bed with full bath with private porch. The second master has a full size bed with full bath. Two additional bedrooms equipped with bunk beds are perfect for guests with children. Pet friendly for those pals who are well behaved. This property includes a private dock, great for fishing or enjoying water sports on Caney Creek and a boat ramp on site for small trailered boats. From the property there is easy access to the Gulf of Mexico (offshore fishing) and East Matagorda Bay (bay fishing). Lights on the dock aid night fishing .Sargent Beach is a ten minute drive away and San Bernard Wildlife Refuge is a short drive from the town. Please come to Grand Creek Retreat and enjoy spectacular sunsets froom the secluded dock.

Great location and perfect house

We are always thrilled to rent this property- love it so much that we’ve been back three times! The owners are easy to work with and the location is perfect. The layout is ideal for a large number of guests, too.

Thanks for your comment about the "huge table" in the dining room. We hope you like it because after my son-in-law built it, we realized it was so large that it is there to stay! We have received several comments about about this table along the lines that apparently it is uncommon for a property to have such a table where larger families and friends can all sit together.

My sister’s kids stayed at the house

All the kids had a great time staying at the house. It was only five or six adults and two kids but it was it was a good time.

Everything was nice have stayed here a few fines always enjoyable time. Only thing I found to not work was shower head in upstairs hall bathroom the head is stopped up no water will come out. Just FYI Had great time all together though!!

Great place for large families

We decided to escape Houston and so glad we did. Large living room lots of room to run around for the kids. Communication with property manager was easy and she is very friendly and helpful. We will be back.

50th Birthday Fishing Retreat

We had a party of 6 with us, and the house was overly accommodating, with 4 beds not even being used. The ping pong table was a plus for our group of competitors! We crabbed, fished, ate at Hookers Grill, went on a fishing trip out here n the bay, and just had an amazing time making memories. Charlie was “Johnny on the spot” and on top of anything that came up. We look forward to coming out again.

Grand creek retreat

We unfortunately had to cut our trip short due to Hurricane Hanna. The sunroom would benefit having shades to help keep the house cool and direct sun. Needs another tv. Kitchen pans need to be replaced. One fan in sunroom didn’t work. Overall the stay was great and would definitely consider returning.

Krystal, Thanks so much for taking the time to review your stay at Grand Creek Retreat. Overall we are pleased that you had a great stay in spite of the challenges produced by Hurricane Hannah. We also will welcome you back should you wish to return and potentially start a new tradition. Also, we very much appreciate your constructive comments. We want to maintain this property in tip-top shape. Your comment about sun shades is timely. Two weeks ago we actually discussed upgrading the sunroom with shades and have plans to do just that at the end of this rental season. Also, we will fix the fan in the sunroom as soon as practical. We didn't realize it wasn't working. We also will evaluate the cookware and TV. Again, thank you for your comments which serves to help us keep this property in good shape. Please come back next year to see these improvements, among others! CHM

Quiet & comfy!

The only things that would have made the stay better would be less mosquitos (but that's mother nature), a front patio for more confort, easy to see water straight on & more people can sit together, one toilet didn't get stopped up ,sheets that fit the bed that don't pop off & an ice maker. Other that that Laura (our go-to gal) was amazing! No fence & neighbor had a big dog, but he was super sweet. If you don't like dogs...you may want to reconsider bc he was over everyday. Would stay again.

For that reason, we appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback. We especially appreciated your comment regarding Laura, our property manager. We couldn't agree more, Laura is the best! We are sorry you seemed to have a problem with a toilet. Laura is available for just such issues and is willing to come and address any problems that our guests are unable to solve on their own. We'll evaluate the condition of the sheets, but believe the ice maker in the refrigerator/freezer is working properly. Everything was great , the only negatives are no Astros games on the satellite plan there . No water at the cleaning station by the dock . There may have been a shut off valve that we never found ?

Grand Creekside Graduation Family Retreat!

The house was very cozy and has everything that we needed. There was plenty of room for all of our family that came down for our daughter’s graduation. We did have some issues with the AC but the property manager Laura, got right on it and my family slept cool. Follow the 1degree increment rule and you should be fine with the AC. The kids and even the adults loved playing Ping-Pong and the games got pretty intense!! Having two washers and two dryers was awesome because no one went home with dirty clothes. The huge table in the dining area was more than enough room for all of the family at meal times. Bring plenty of mosquito spray and sunscreen when you come to our part of Texas because you will need it. Max the big brindle dog, from next door is very friendly and Sandi the yellow lab, is very cautious at first but friendly once she sees you interact with Max. Their owner is very nice and will put the dogs away if you need him to. My family would definitely stay at Grand Creekside Retreat again!!

One of the largest properties in the area. Beautifully renovated and remodeled 4 Bedroom / 3 Bath house on the riverfront that sleeps 15 people. Plenty of parking with a boat ramp and dock. The dock is an amazing spot for fishing and night fishing!
