Welcome to Northaven! Family-friendly lakefront cabin in the White Mountains!

Serene, four-season lakefront log cabin located in the White Mountains. Located on Lower Mountain Lake (privately owned), the lake is fishable without an NH fishing license. Fully equipped with a stocked kitchen, memory foam mattresses, 3 Smart TVs (1 with cable, all with Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video), and WiFi. Enjoy swimming and use of non-motorized watercraft on Upper and Lower Mountain Lakes (with rec area and lifeguards), community pool, basketball, and tennis courts. In the winter grab your sleds and ice skates and head to the Lodge. Hot cocoa and coffee are available on weekends and during school vacation weeks. Only 10 minutes from the White Mountain National Forest, 15 minutes from The Lost River, and 30 minutes from Lincoln/Woodstock (Loon Mountain, Alpine Adventures, Whale's Tale, Clarks Trading Post, Kancamagus Highway, shops, etc).

***Please note: This property is located in the mountains. Weather can change quickly. Storms are known to disrupt cable and Internet services. There is also very limited cell phone service in the area. While inside the property, simply switch your calls to WiFi calling and connect to our WiFi.

Also, the neighboring cabin is in relatively close proximity. Lake access from the property is limited to kayaks/canoes. Swimming is available on both lakes at the rec center.***

This was our first day at North Haven cabin. My family and I enjoyed it immensely. There was tranquility and the cabin was clean furnished, nicely located in a peaceful setting and we had our week stay without disruption. The kitchen was modern and well equipped for cooking, including having a variety of condiments and other cooking essentials. The rooms were well furnished and comfortable ,decor was pleasant and cabin inspired. The lake front location was quite inviting and beautiful. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would certainly look to reserve again in the future. The host was most accommodating and very pleasant to work with.

Incredible cabin. Super clean. Beds and pillows comfortable. Kitchen is spacious with higher end alliances. Property and back view is beautiful. Host was prompt with replies and easy to work with. Highly recommend.

We stayed at Northaven as we toured New England. It was a great cabin located right on the lake. It was easy to get to and nearby to some of the places we wanted to see. The cabin had a nice wonderful view from the back deck. Unfortunately we were only here two nights, because this is a great place to relax for several nights.

We had many wonderful weekends swimming and boating at the lake--kayaks and pedal boats were fun. The cabin is well stocked with essentials we may have forgotten making cooking easy. Plenty of linens and towels made it easy to pack for trip--no bulky items like sheets and towels were needed. The downstairs "teen room" made it ideal for all the older grands to have space to spread out. However, the best spot in the house was on the deck overlooking the lake--foggy morning mist over the lake and sunsets in the evening were magical.

Dark and Dreary Delight

Home was warm and comfortable. Despite thunder storm, driving rain, and loss of electricity, we managed to have fun family time. Had to pass on hiking--too wet and muddy--but emergency candles, gas stove, solar night lights, and games provided at house were a bonus!

Excellent Cabin and Location

We had a wonderful family weekend. We have been a part of the Mt. Lakes Community since 1988 and love the area. This cabin is the perfect setting to enjoy Mt. Lakes.

Quiet and Peaceful get away

My spouse and I had a wonderful time at Northhaven! Pictures simply do not do it justice of how peaceful it is here. Northhaven is simply New Hampshire at its finest and we cannot thank our hosts enough!

Perfect Family Getaway

This cabin is immaculate! Everything you need is on hand. The kayaks on the lake provided hours of fun for our teens. Host is incredibly accommodating. Would love to come back!

Lovely Lakehouse

Our stay at the Northaven lakehouse was lovely. The house was a perfect size for my family of four (two older teens). The AC was very welcomed and worked great. (it was a steamy week) The location on the lake was great and we utilized the kayaks and canoe provided almost every day. Fishing seems to be an unknown secret because we saw almost no one and caught (and released) huge bass every time we went out. Susan was easy to communicate with and responded quickly. Access to shopping and activities was good enough when you consider that getting to anything in NH requires traversing a mountain!

Outstanding stay

We had a wonderful week in New Hampshire at Northaven! All our kids loved the kayaks and we went on the water every day. There is so much to do within an hours drive that it is the perfect location. Communication with the host was outstanding. We had a power outage due to a major storm and Susan sent us regular updates. Highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful cabin!

This cabin is absolutely beautiful and cozy! My family and I loved staying here. It felt like a home away from home. From the large backyard with firepit and many chairs around it, as well as the nice water view, to the large cozy couch and open concept kitchen, dining and livingroom. The bedrooms were all good sized with comfortable beds and wonderful cabin decor! Any and all questions I had, were promptly and courteously answered by the owners. We hope to be back in the near future.

As soon as we saw this cabin we knew it was for us. We rented in Mountain Lakes in 2017 and felt this was the perfect area to find a vacation home for our family. The serenity of the area really rejuvenates us!

The sounds of the babbling brook in the spring while sitting on the deck make this cabin the perfect relaxation spot. Hearing the geese, loons, and frogs in the spring is something we adore. We see amazing sunsets right from our deck. It is a little piece of heaven on earth!
