Brand New 5 Bedroom Home! Located within the Deschutes National Forest, these are the closest homes to Mt. Bachelor and just 5 minutes to Town. Hot Tub and Brand New Everything. Steps to some of the best hiking and biking trails in Bend.
The Deschutes River Trailhead is only a few steps from the back door (50 yards), and Phil's trail and Rimrock Trailhead (to name a few) are very close by.
We are in walking distance to the Seventh Mountain Resort and 1/2 mile to Widgi Creek Golf Course!
The space
Our house is a brand new attached home (only attached on one wall, with firewall between, and very quiet.) It is located in a wonderful subdivision called Milepost 1, which are the closest residential units to Mt. Bachelor, yet we are still less than 5 minutes to town! Since we are so close to Bachelor, you can easily be the first to the slopes and miss all the traffic getting out of town! One turn onto the road to Bachelor and you are there!
Appointed with all new luxury furnishings, the space is sure to rank highly on anyone's "best places I've stayed" list. With a large open great room/kitchen, the space screams for social get togethers with friends and family! Xbox and Super Nintendo (with lots of games) in the house to keep the kids (or adults) happy!
6-7 person hot tub out on the back patio, complete with a fire pit and adirondacks makes the back patio the ultimate place to relax in the afternoon/evening. Our backyard is shaded in the afternoon, which is perfect in the hot Bend afternoons!
Please note we are in a quiet neighborhood and we have the utmost respect for our neighbors. Loud and rowdy groups will not be tolerated. Thank you for your understanding.
Please also note that there is parking for 3 vehicles (not oversized) on our property. There is no street parking. Please do not plan on bringing large, oversized or more than 3 vehicles as we will be fined and will be passing those fines along to our guests.
Dogs are okay with a $75 pet fee. Please notify us if you are bringing a dog.
We are walking distance from the Seventh Mountain Resort, with a bar/restaurant and numerous facilities open to the public: Ice skating in the winter, river rafting and horseback riding in the spring/summer/fall. All of those can be booked through their website. They also have a disc golf course you can use, as well as a mini kids-dirt track for bikes. Widgi Creek Golf Course is also very close by and has extremely reasonable rates for a great course!
2 master suites (1 upstairs, 1 down) each have King beds. There are 2 further bedrooms with queen beds upstairs that share a Jack-and-Jill bathroom. Lastly, there is a den/office downstairs with bunk beds. Additionally, there is an air mattress that guests are free to deploy anywhere. Blackout shades in every room, so you can sleep in, or sleep it off!
We do have RING cameras that monitor the outside of the house. There are no cameras inside of the home.
Washer and Dryer in the home, free for your use.

Great gathering place for entire family!

The Gnarnia house was perfect for our extended family to stay while in Bend for our son’s wedding. Check in was easy and the house had everything we needed. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer place!

Fabulous Place, Wonderful Time

Loved staying at this home! It provided for everything we needed. The overall layout worked great down to the comfy big sofa. The hot tub topped off our stay and was perfect after a long day on the mountain.

Perfect for our family getaway!

Everything about our stay was wonderful! The house location is convenient for skiing at Mt. Bachelor and exploring Bend. The house is beautiful, spacious and well maintained. The rooms are large and the beds are super comfy. The host was responsive and we really enjoyed ourselves!

Beautiful home in a great location

Our family had a great stay in this house. It is spacious with a well-stocked kitchen, easy access to the River Trail, town and Mt. Bachelor. Owner Andrew was fantastic and quick to respond to any questions. We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing stay!

Had a wonderful time at Andrew's house in Bend. Fantastic location with quick access to both Mt Bachelor and Bend. Perfect spot. Andrew was extremely easy to communicate with and made sure all was taken care of for our stay. We plan on renting this house again!

Bend Girls Birthday Trip

This property was clean and perfectly set up for a great girls weekend! The kitchen was well equiped, location was incredibly convenient, and the property manager was very communicative and helpful. I would highly recommend!

Spacious and well stocked

There was plenty of space for our family. Kitchen was stocked with necessities. Short drive to area attractions. Loved having the river a short drive (or walk if you aren’t carrying things) to the river.

This property was better than expected, the property manager, Adam, responded within an hour. Also they had a 12-pack of local Oregon beer in the fridge for us.

We so enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful, clean and conveniently located for our weekend 1/2 marathon event in Bend. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped. The welcome instructions were thorough and helpful. We will definitely return again.

Great house in perfect location

The house was perfect for us and another family. Location is amazing, walk to Deschutes River trail, 10-15 min to all the great restaurants and parks in Bend and easy access to Mt. Bachelor and lakes. The house is spacious and comfortable and stocked with everything you need. Owner was easy to communicate with, very responsive and helpful with things to do in the area. Loved our stay and will definitely stay here again.

Gnaria is a great place to stay

We really enjoyed staying at Gnaria. The home is beautiful and has all the amenities that you need. Four couples stayed there and there was plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen was very well stocked. The bedrooms were a great size. The location is great! There were great hiking trails and Widgi Creek is very close. Andrew was very accommodating and returned emails right away. We will definitely be staying there again. Thank you Andrew!!!

great house in residentual neighborhood.

Great indoor accommodations. location is very residential. The outdoor patio (which was our groups evening gathering spot) is right on the street facing the neighbors, dog walkers etc. Patio not set up to accommodate our group of 8 couples. Hot tub also exposed to street.

Very nice house, well stocked kitchen. Very dirty hot tub and poor hot water heater. Refrigerator couldn’t be fixed before our stay but had a secondary fridge in garage that accommodated our needs- garage door was a ways from kitchen though. Owners were nice and responded quickly

Yes, Yes and More Yes!

We had a blast! The manager/owner was incredibly responsive and flexible. The location is perfectly located close to town and Mt. Bachelor. Now for the good stuff!--There are so many small things that add value. There was a kitchen fully stocked of staple items. (salt, pepper, most seasonings, paper towels, laundry detergent, soap, shampoo, conditioner and more!) It was nice to not invest $60 in seasonings. They have a Gnarwall that highlights the top five hikes, restaurants, summer activities and winter activities. I could go on with the level of detail they provide in this property. We can't wait to come back!

Bend get-a-way summer 2019

This house was perfect for our family! It’s a wonderful layout, with the master on the main and another bedroom with bunk beds. Upstairs are three big bedrooms; an on suite and two large bedrooms with a bathroom in-between. We loved the open floor plan; with the kitchen, dining room and great room all connected to one another. The kitchen is stocked very well and has a huge center island, perfect for cooking. We did lots of biking and the location was awesome; close to the river, close to town, close to the Mountain and many lakes.. It’s right next to End of the Seventh mountain and is ideal for winter or summer travel. The owner is very accessible, answering any questions immediately. He checked-in upon arrival to make sure everything was ok. We loved every bit of our stay in this house and hated leaving. We will absolutely go back.

The best home in Bend and much more!!

This was the first time my family has ever rented a property and what a wonderful experience we had! My family stayed at this lovely home while attending my son's wedding. While weddings may have some stressful moments, staying at this home was not one of them. Andrew was so helpful every step of the way and answered every question I had going through the process. The home was immaculate and so spacious. My family hosted the rehearsal dinner at his home and enjoyed barbequing, the hot tub and fire pit. Andrew even had four new Adirondack chairs delivered during our stay as he realized they needed replacing and we were hosting a special event. The home had everything you would expect from an owner who takes pride in his property. Even little things like having the kitchen drawers neatly labeled to find things easily was a bonus. A beautiful wall sign was hung from floor to ceiling listing different categories of things to do in the Bend area. The best way for me to sum up the wonderful experience we had is to explain the circumstances. My family traveled from the east coast to Bend, OR where my son now lives and was getting married. As the mother of the groom I feel blessed that the home we rented was so beautiful in all respects and so very peaceful. I felt like I was "home" even though the wedding was far away from where we live. When we visit Bend again we will not have a second thought as to where to stay. Andrew, I cannot thank you enough for everything, it was a pleasure to be a guest in your home. The added touch of having a variety of beers from the local breweries was so very nice! Thanks again for everything! So, to others reading this review and looking for the perfect place to stay, there is no need to search any more, you have found it!

Perfect House for Family

Our family had the best time and Gnarnia was perfect for all 8 of us and our dogs. The house was WELL stocked and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the nearby trails for walking the dogs, the neighbors were very nice and we really enjoyed the hot tub for after snow activities. 5 out of 5 stars!

My name is Andrew and along with my wife Angelina, and our good friends Andy and Whitney, we would love to invite you to come and spend some time at our home in Bend. This house (we lovingly dub it Gnarnia) has everything you need to relax after you go "shred the gnar" in Bend! Each couple has a kid, and we love spending time together out in Nature with this place to fall back on. Come see what the fuss is about!

We love how close the neighborhood is to Mount Bachelor, and also steps away from the Deschutes river trail. Our kids can play in the street safely, we can get to town in 5 minutes, and we are close to everything we need.

Our neighborhood is called Milepost 1, just steps away from the Wyndham Seventh Mountain Resort and the Deschutes River Trail, as well as numerous other trailheads. If the outdoors is your cup of tea, there is not a better place from which to start your adventures!

We recommend having a vehicle, as we are about a 5 minute drive from town. There are bike trails nearby that can take you all the way into town, and even to Mt. Bachelor! Uber is a great option as well!
