Welcome to ā€œTime Awayā€ Creekside! You will enjoy your "time away" in this gorgeous (resort-like) suite located in Olathe, KS overlooking the Indian Creek biking/hiking trails on the other side of the creek!

This 1-bedroom, 1-bath suite is a separate unit with it's own private entrance, located on the lower walk-out level of our home. The backyard view feels like you're at a resort away from it all. Located close to lots of restaurants, entertainment, shopping and activities, yet in a relaxing, quiet area - with a resort-type feel. The creek and the trails extend for miles and miles.

It's equipped with plenty of amenities for your convenience ā€“ including the best mattress and bedding for a comfortable nightā€™s sleep (or afternoon nap). This includes a master suite with a private bathroom, an amazing king-sized bed, and SMART TV.

Youā€™ll love eating at the kitchen table, breakfast bar, or on the patio, while overlooking the beautiful creek and secluded backyard woods. The private kitchen is fully equipped to prepare a meal - or simply unwind and enjoy a cup a coffee. We spared no expense with beautiful furnishings, flat-screened SMART TVs and DVD player, and free Wi-Fi. You'll love sitting by the fireplace on cooler evenings.

Located on a wooded lot overlooking the Indian Creek biking/hiking trails, while watching the deer and listening to the birds sing. Approximately 100 miles of trails connects the two states of Kansas and Missouri. Close to all the popular activities in Kansas City - major sporting events, Worlds of Fun, Oceans of Fun, the Plaza, KC Zoo, Starlight Outdoor Theater, dinner theaters, world-class museums, shopping, antique shopping, golf or miniature golf, parks and playgrounds - or see the city-wide fountains. You'll discover amazing restaurants - including - the best BBQ you'll ever eat! :)

Lovely stay in Olathe!

My daughter and I stayed here for a long weekend. We truly enjoyed our time here and this suite has everything needed to be comfortable and cozy. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and the bed is very comfortable. The setting is beautiful on the creek and we had visits from the deer every day. Susan was a wonderful host and very helpful with any questions we had. Will definitely stay again!

Just Perfect!

We love staying at Time Away Creekside! The accommodations and pictures are just as advertised. The view from the porch is very relaxing and peaceful. We bring our bikes and ride the trails around the area. I canā€™t say enough good things about the property. You wonā€™t be disappointed.

Time Away

This is lovely suite has all the comforts of home nestled in a quiet neighborhood. A perfect time to relax, refuel, and recharge from our busy life. It was comfortable and lovingly decorated. Charming, Relaxing, Quiet

This charming suite has everything you might want for a visit to the KC area. The sitting area looks out on a nicely appointed patio, the lawn, and the creek. One can hear the creek bubbling by - so relaxing! The suite was clean and well appointed. The location is near-ish to major freeways and major streets. Thank you to Susan and Dale!

Very nice property and location, within reasonable driving distance of downtown KC and County Club Plaza. Very peaceful setting with a stream running through the back yard. Couldn't get the bathroom hair dryer to work, but otherwise all was as advertised.

Lovely country getaway in the city

This sweet space combines easy access to all things urban with beautiful views of water, trees, and wildlife. The bed is comfy and the setting idyllic. Only minor inconveniences -- some overhead noise during the day, for example. All in all, a welcoming and restful retreat.

I won't repeat what's already been said in previous reviews. I will say that all of it is true. It is a beautiful, clean, very nice VRBO!! The hosts introduced themselves and we had a really nice conversation. Good people who know how to host perfectly! We would stay again when in the area.

There is nothing more important than relationships - particularly marriage, family and friends. It is our goal to be a small part in helping others create wonderful memories together that will last a lifetime.

Susan is an international speaker and award-winning author who desires to inspire and motivate others (formerly the Asst. Director of the KC Chiefs Cheerleaders). Prior to this, she worked as an interior designer - decorating model homes in the KC area.
Dale is a licensed contractor. In addition, he's an inventor of several products. They're very active in their church and family, including previously the Marriage Ministry Directors at their church. Susan is also the President/CEO of Shepherd's Care - a single mom's ministry in KC.

OUR STORY: This is our "forever" home and we absolutely love this area - particularly the wooded backyard with a resort-like view overlooking the scenic creek next to the biking/hiking trails. We enjoy it so much that we ultimately made the decision to make it available for others to enjoy, as well. It is our hope you'll be able to create wonderful memories.

This area is close to everything in Kansas City, as well as shopping, amazing restaurants, professional sporting events, entertainment, and more. Yet, you'll have complete privacy in your lower level suite with a walk-out patio overlooking the beautiful woods, flowers and babbling creek. There's also a hammock to read, relax or take a nap!
