Wailea Ekolu 1403 Luxury on a Budget - 1 Bed/2 Bath Vacation Condo

Fresh new upgrades - new king bed, new wood flooring, new TVs, kitchen appliances, window blinds, lighting, and two comfortable lanais with an outdoor lawn area. New refrigerator, stove, dining room table, barstools, window shades, new linens and towels. We also have new housekeepers, and the unit is sparkling with all the upgrades! This roomy and comfortable condominium home in the resort destination of Wailea Ekolu Village is fully stocked and upgraded to be a special vacation home for couples and small families to enjoy all that South Maui has to offer.

Wailea Ekolu Village features premier one- and two-bedroom ocean view and garden view condos. The resort sits on 18 acres of tropical landscaping and is located adjacent to the Wailea Ol' Blue' Golf Course. Each vacation condominium has a fully equipped kitchen with washer/dryer. The property features two swimming pools, barbecues and a reading/gathering pavilion. Mokapu Beach, Ulua Beach and Keawakapu Beach, three of Maui's favorites, are nearby.

Beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels and coolers are provided. Additional beach gear may be rented at one of our local beach shops.

Wailea Ekolu Village is just mauka (uphill) from the Shops at Wailea and the Wailea Village Center shopping and entertainment centers. Special rates are available at Wailea's golf and tennis facilities for Ekolu guests. Wailea Gateway Shops, Wailea Town Center, The Shops at Wailea, and all of Wailea's famous hotels, spa facilities and award-winning restaurants are within walking distance. Wailea Ekolu Village is a premier vacation location.

Perfect location and space for our vacation! We enjoyed walking to coffee, breweries, dinners, groceries and the beach daily. Easy access to everything by foot. We would 100% stay here again and hope to be back soon!

Wonderful stay

Great condo with fantastic location and views. The space was very clean and had everything one would need (beach chairs, ample kitchen accessories, beach towels, etc.). I would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Lovely unit tucked away, private with partial views

Super location in Wailea, nice and quiet, still close to amenities, can walk to some coffee shops and restaurants. Short drive to the beautiful Wailea beaches. Unit is well stocked.

Comfortable and Convenient in Wailea

Very comfortable space in a great location. Close to pool,. Furnishings are a bit worn (especially kitchen) and could use a refresh, but bed and baths are well appointed and comfortable. Had a great time!

Perfect location

Unit is well stocked, new appliances throughout. Only drawback is that you are on the bottom floor and most people don't consider the people underneath, several days of banging and crashing from the unit above

Great View, very clean

I liked that they had water toys for tenants to use. I also liked the pool nearby although it was closed for renovation during our stay. The location is great with an epic view. Good communication with management. We were greeted with a massive welcome basket containing all sorts of goodies. Nice touch! Close to many nice beaches. Would go again!

A great unit close to everything we wanted

We had a very positive stay. It's one of the most spacious one bedroom units I've every stayed in. It's close to the pool which never really got crowded. Everything was clean and bed was comfortable. The air conditioner and fans made it easy to sleep at night. You can walk to the Shops at Wailea where they have a good but expensive grocery store, retail and several restaurants. We drove but if you walk a little bit further you have access to a few beaches. One tip, Google maps led us to the wrong set of buildings in the complex but Apple Maps led us to where we needed to be. Check in and communication was great and there was even a gift basket waiting for us in the room. Highly recommended this place.

Pleasant but needs attention

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a pleasant stay, and appreciated the beach chairs and the lanai, and the proximity to green spaces, restaurants and shopping. But we felt the apartment could have had better upkeep. We thought you would appreciate knowing about some of the things that need attention. For example the screen door to the patio does not slide, and is stuck in the open position and the washing machine smelled musty and the gasket is moldy. We ran it empty with detergent to clean it but it didn’t help. Strangely, the toaster burnt the bread at setting "1". In general the place needed thorough cleaning. The living room tile floor, outside table, toilets and showers were quite dirty (we cleaned them).

The lanai screen door has been repaired, toaster has been replaced, tile and grout have been polished. In addition, there are new appliances on order that should be here by December, a new dining room table, as well as a thorough cleaning. A beautiful property that needs a bit of maintenance.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a lovely condo in a beautiful complex with a partial ocean view. It’s very close to the pool, which is well maintained. The unit has most of the essentials. The bed is comfortable. Kitchen items are a bit of picked over mix. Beach chairs are available, but no umbrella. However, there are some significant plumbing issues that need to be fully looked in to. In our first week, the toilets and shower backed up. This happened to close by units as well. While potentially not the fault of the owner, there was NO number to call to report the issue which happened in the early evening. Ultimately it was the guests in the other unit that were able to resolve the issue. On our last night of our 3 week stay, the kitchen sink backed up. For the above reasons, we would not stay at this unit again.

The unit is right by the pool which was great for the kids. We had a few issues with the condo that were immediately fixed with the garburator leaking. Far walk to the beach but a great spot to get around the island. 5-minute walk to coffee and 10-minute walk to the local shops.Overall a good experience, if we were to stay again we would like to be closer to the beach.
