This Destin vacation rental sits just enough off the beaten path to offer real peace and tranquility- there are no parking lots, cement jungles or noisy neighbors here! It's wooded surroundings encompass views of two inlets of Destiny West lake speckled with charming wildlife that call it home.

Another pleasant side effect of Doctor's Orders is its location near Destin's most powerful medicine- the soothing Gulf of Mexico. Head two blocks from the front porch and see the sun sparkling on the emerald water like diamonds, feel the powder-soft sand between your toes and listen to the rustle of sea oats in the Gulf Breeze. That powerful combination is sure to heal whatever ails you! You'll be able to control the camera presented by our closest restaurant on the beach, The CrabTrap. Our private beach is a couple hundred feet to the right of this public beach and usually has roughly one tenth the people on it!)

Kokomo Cove's entry also crosses a newly paved walking path that stretches the length of the beach road. Restaurants, shops and even golf courses dot this scenic route and provide entertaining waypoints for a sunny bike ride. We provide chairs, and umbrellas and carts to make it easier to carry down to the beach!

Your home by the sea features a calming interior with worry-free Onyx Tile floors, a beautifully updated kitchen and new HD TV's. Additional 'recovery aids' include an eye-catching oceanscape décor, the convenience of a laundry room as well as the luxury of a Jacuzzi bath in the master suite. Plus, the private pool deck, two balconies with water views and a private grill are extra perks to this rejuvenating vacation home.

DoctorsOrdersDestin Covid-19 Updated Safety Measures

When you stay at one of the DoctorsOrdersDestin Vacation Beach House Rentals, you do not encounter a front desk agent. You do not pass strangers in hallways. You do not share an elevator, lobby or commons area with the public. You simply arrive at your beach house armed with an entry code. After logging the code onto the sterilized keypad, your group enters your luxury vacation home that's just what the Doctor Ordered!

Our beach houses are in a secluded location at the end of a quiet street. This seclusion will give added comfort that few strangers will be around. Each house has its own private pool that is cleaned and chlorinated not once, but twice a week for your safety and enjoyment. Our private beach is one of the most secluded beaches available along the Destin beach line. This is because our small neighborhood shares the beach with the smallest motel in Destin. You will notice the difference as you look down to the left or right and see the large crowds. Social distancing will be pleasantly easy to accomplish.

All frequently touched surfaces such as counters, door knobs, handrails, light switches, television remotes, and furniture will have been disinfected with CDC recommended bleach or alcohol solutions. Our housekeepers will wear protective masks and gloves while cleaning during this pandemic. While it would be wise for you as guests to continue cleaning surfaces during your stay, you can know we have done it before you arrived. Anti-bacterial hand soap is provided.

We have modified our bedding arrangement significantly to protect our guests. All sleep pillows are covered with hypoallergenic pillow covers with a moisture barrier. We have increased our supply of linens and comforters so that the beddings for your stay will not have been used for 5 days after cleaning! Furniture and decorative pillows are sprayed down with an alcohol solution to kill bacteria while not leaving a residue on the material.

Consider bringing face masks for when you go out in public and extra paper towels for drying hands in bathroom. We do provide towels and each house does have a washer and dryer for your use during long stays.

During this Corona Virus Pandemic, we will be implementing these measures for your safety and adding a Covid-19 Disinfectant and Sanitation Clean to each reservation. While this adds to the cost of your stay, we feel it is necessary to assure the safety of the multiple generations coming from disparate areas to unite to enjoy time together in our wonderful beach setting. It is imperative we do all we can to give you peace of mind that you have selected a safe and clean place to vacation!
