Updated barn apartment near Strasburg, Sight & Sound Theatre in Amish Country

Our cozy, country barn apartment is located on our nine acre farmette. The entire apartment is located on the second floor of the barn. The setting is very private along a quiet country road, surrounded by Amish farms. Visit the goats, chickens and any other animals we may currently have, take a hike into the woods, roast some marshmallows over the fire, or just relax and enjoy the view of the beautiful countryside from the kitchen window while the kids play outside on the swingset.

We are located 6 miles from Sight and Sound Theaters, 5 miles from Strasburg Railroad, and within 10 miles of Cherry - Crest Farm, American Music Theater, Rockvale and Tanger Outlets, and many other Amish country attractions including Dutch Wonderland.

Since we started out as a more traditional Bed and Breakfast years ago, I still enjoy stocking the kitchen with a light supply of breakfast items to get you started out such as bread for toasting, pastries, fruit, hot and cold drinks, cereals, farm fresh eggs, etc.

This apartment is absolutely stunning. It is decorated beautifully, clean, and had all the amenities one could need. The bedrooms are spacious and each has a bathroom attached. We had the best time! Highly recommend! I am sure we will be back.

Beautiful place! Itā€™s always immaculately clean. Itā€™s close to the attractions in Lancaster, but situated in the country. We have come back here several times. There was a rooster on the farm this visit that was a bit noisy. He is the only negative I can think of. Wonderful rental!

We enjoyed our stay at the barn so much! It was very well appointed, clean and comfortable. The decor was so pretty, We immediately felt at home. The beds are super comfortable. There were several little extra touches that were greatly appreciated, like yogurt, muffins, granola, milk, eggs and juice. It was very relaxing to sit outside in the morning quiet. So peaceful! We will certainly be back.

Outstanding experience

From the moment we arrived we were impressed. Sara was an outstanding host. She thoughtfully left us enough goodies like fresh eggs, muffins, yogurt, milk, juice, etc. to make our arrival easy and welcoming. This was the cleanest rental weā€™ve experienced on our annual vacation. We love this rental and hope to return.
Loved watching this from the fire pit area.

Wonderful weekend getaway!

We had a fabulous stay! Highly recommend! So clean and comfortable. We travel a lot, and this is one of the best places we have stayed. We went to Sight & Sound, outlets, Cherry Crest farm, and all were in close proximity. We plan to stay here again next year.

We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed our time in Lancaster county so much. Everything was so clean and neat. We really enjoyed the delicious treats that the owners provided and it was so nice to have those extra touches which made our stay even more perfect. Amazing B&B

This was by far the best property we have rented through VRBO! Sara was a wonderful host; super easy to communicate with and so hospitable. It was so nice to have fresh breakfast food waiting for us and my kids enjoyed the playground & basketball hoop. The property was an easy drive to local attractions. It was clean, spacious and comfortable. My family is already asking when we can come back!

My husband, Dan, and I both grew up in Lancaster County among the Amish. In fact, I, Sara, grew up Amish. We enjoy vacationing and exploring with our family and so we enjoy preparing a place of quiet rest and relaxation for other families and to all who choose to vacation here!

We have always liked the quiet countryside of the southern part of the county and began dreaming and looking for a property with more acreage. We found this property and with it came an operating B&B. As a busy stay-at-home Mom, I soon became excited about the idea of how well this would work for us and the rest of the property was a dream come true for us! God moved some major things that seemed to be in our way to purchase this property and we have enjoyed every aspect of the property and meeting lots of wonderful people!!
