Charming 2-bedroom steps from the Eastern Promenade

Portland's East End has the charm of a small town, amazing views of the ocean, delicious restaurants, and is just a short walk into town. Enjoy it all from this sun-filled, lovingly maintained duplex at the top of Munjoy Hill. Relax in the lush backyard, spend the day at East End Beach or walk into town for a night out. This is a great place to enjoy all that Portland and Maine has to offer in the summer.

This duplex was built in the 1850's as one of the first houses at the top of Munjoy Hill. Each side feels like its own single-family home with its own entrance, first floor living room/kitchen with deck off the back, and second floor bedrooms and bathroom. No noisy neighbors stomping around above you in a duplex. You'll still feel the history in the short basement (if you do laundry), but the rest of the house has been updated to modern standards.

We had a wonderful stay on Munjoy Hill. The proximity to the park was perfect. We enjoyed a beautiful sunrise and an afternoon reading. The dogs loved it too. The location was amazing as well and walkable to everything on the peninsula. We walked to restaurants, the ferry and to a concert. Thank you for a memorable week in Portland!

The overall house and sleeping arrangements were great. You can't beat the location either being central to Portland and right near the water. The owner was very responsive and was very accommodating to the small issues we had during the stay. I would highly recommend staying here if you're planning a trip to Portland.

This place is a truly great stay -- fully equipped kitchen, cozy living space, comfortable bedrooms, and off-street parking. The backyard is shared and fenced in, but if you are bringing your dogs, the house instructions state that they aren't allowed to use it, which was kind of a bummer for us and I wish that would have been noted in the listing description.

Thanks so much for staying with us and leaving such a nice review. I apologize for the confusion about the yard. Dogs are more than welcome to use it, we just ask that they are supervised since it is shared with our long term tenants and their dogs. We also work very hard to get the grass to grow and it can’t handle regular doggie potty, so we ask that you walk your dogs at potty time. But you’re more than welcome to hang out with them on the shared patio or your private deck. We hope you’ll stay with us again on your next visit!

All the comforts of home

The place was perfect! It was cozy and had everything we needed and the location was perfect! We took our dog for a walk in the morning and the afternoon at the park which was so close. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location!

We loved our getaway to Portland. We were visiting for a college friends wedding, and it was a perfect home base. I loved how close we were to the ocean/eastern prom and would often bring my coffee there int he mornings! Would stay again.

Relaxing Spring Break

The location was perfect with our dogs. The green is right down the street. We were able to bike around all of Portland very easily. Great stay!

Great Spot Near East End Promenade

Great location near the Eastern Promenade and beach, easily walkable to Wharf Street, Congress Street, and other parts of the city. We loved the off street parking and fenced back yard, perfect for dog owners looking to enjoy Portland.

Great location and very cozy!

Walking distance to eastern promenade and the ocean - check in was easy and space was clean. Great for my parents dog to stay as well with the carpeted stairs and the outdoor space. Highly recommend!

This is always my first choice for accommodations when traveling to Portland. The host is truly a super host, easy to contact and very responsive. The location/neighborhood is ideal! The accommodations are terrific, and always clean.

Cozy little duplex, perfect location

The apt was cozy, easy to manage, and no more than needed . Accessible to surroundings and quiet. Local restaurants were a plus too...right in the neighborhoodded.
