Charming and delightful

Joe and Lynn are so kind and helpful, and both the property and surrounding area are absolutely gorgeous. Such a charming place to be in the summer — I am sure we will be back!!

Cozy Getaway

Enjoyed our stay at Drifting In! The property was clean, comfortable, and cozy. Lynn and Joe have a beautiful place and their hospitality is unmatched. They have thought of everything! Great hiking trails, boating, and food in the area.

Exceptional Hospitality

We have stayed at this property before and whenever we come to Maine, it will be our go-to ‘home away from home’. EVERYTHING you could want or need is provided-and high quality, too. Joe & Lynn’s Driftin’ Inn sets the bar high for all other VRBO properties. If you’re looking for a comfortable place from which to explore Maine - you cannot go wrong here!!

Extraordinary

The place was just wonderful. All of the coastal decorations and attention to detail to make our stay so pleasurable were really outstanding: the local snacks, the bathrobes, the extra towels, the beautiful dishes, the boat ride, and just the hosts genuine kindness and so much more…

Surpassed expectations!

The space was nicer than the pictures give justice! Lynn and Joe are so nice and were easy to reach when needed! They even gave us a few local goodies to start off our stay. Definitely a great place for a quite relaxing stay!

Drifting In Stay

We had a wonderful stay with gracious hospitality, in an amazing accommodation! Joe and Lynn thought of everything one might need to accommodate us during our stay. The steps up were a challenge for older joints but so very worth the effort enhanced by views of the cribstone bridge and lovely oceanside decor!

Comfy apartment, short walk to beach area

The apartment is situated above the garage of the owners. It was perfect for me as a single, comfortable bed, nice shower. A deck with a grill. Owners provide made in Maine amenities, I will definitely rebook for next summer.

Lovely apartment

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Harpswell. The apartment was extremely clean, very comfortable and in a great location. There were so many nice touches from the breakfast food in the fridge and the wine, cheese and crackers on the counter to the towels, bathrobes and slippers. The boat ride with Lynn and Joe was another highlight! Best VRBO experience we’ve had - highly recommend this property!!

Great place & great hosts!

Lynn and Joe have an absolutely beautiful guest house in an absolutely beautiful corner of the world. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, answer questions about local events and history, and the guest house lacked nothing. As an amateur gardener, I was also impressed with the wonderful plantings around the property, and the amazing meadow that they created. We (all three of us) would love to come back again.

Highly Recommend

We chose this property for our first trip to Maine and our honeymoon. We were amazed by all the property had to offer and it looked even more beautiful in person! Plus, the bed was unbelievably comfortable. The hosts were easy to communicate with and it was clear that they valued our experience. The hosts left us personalized goodies and took us on a complimentary boat tour. We have never had such a good rental experience. Thank you!

Perfection

We had the most amazing stay! The pictures do not do it justice! We have stayed at many vrbo and airbnb and this was by far the best experience we have ever had! It was all about the thoughtful touches that made us feel at home. The nicest people ever and our boat ride was so relaxing! When back in Maine we hope they will have availability because we can't wait to stay again! Thanks guys!

Treetop Treat

This was a cozy comfortable place to stay in beautiful Harpswell. A second floor apartment with a loft bedroom up in the treetops that was just so. Every amenity you can think of, it was beyond well stocked and appointed. We even were invited aboard the owner’s boat for a cruise around Harpswell. Our hosts, Lynn and Joe, and this lovely Drifting In were beyond expectations. Thank you!

Treated like royalty.

The hosts, Lynn and Capt. Joe, treated us like we were special. However, I bet they make ALL their guest feel that way. The house was spotlessly clean. We were greeted with beer, wine and cheese upon arrival, and the fridge had everything we might want for breakfast the next day. Capt Joe and Lynn took us out for a boat tour of the area, and since it was my wife's birthday, they bought her a dozen roses. We felt we had left good friends behind when we left for home. Awesome stay.

Best vrbo ever!!

We had a marvelous time staying at Drifting In and will definitely be back!! Gorgeous apartment, inside and out, with every detail just perfect. Nice deck with places to sit and BBQ. Spacious rooms, skylights, lots of light and places to nestle. We were greeted with Maine goodies in the kitchen, which was nicely equipped for those who like to cook. Comfy bed. Amazing hosts we really enjoyed spending some time with. We went out on the boat with Joe--a very fun morning! We took the short walk to the shore--pristine, welcoming, quite private. Had best lobster ever. A quiet setting with water views. What more could we ask for?!!

Beyond Expectations

You won’t be disappointed if you book “Drifting In”. Lynn is a super lovely, interesting person, and she has done an amazing job of decorating and appointing their gem of a cottage. The local works of art on the walls, tables, and shelves are wonderful! I felt completely welcome (Lynn even stocked the fridge with wine, cheese, Maine made treats, and other basics). I honestly wished I could stay longer. The location is fantastic - you feel pretty “off the grid” but are actually very close to anything you might need in Brunswick. I came alone this time, but the cottage could easily accommodate four people, and I DEFINITELY plan to return with my husband next year. Thank you, Lynn and Joe!

Beautiful Spot in an Idyllic Coastal Community

A pair of more generous and considerate hosts, and a lovelier spot would be hard to find. Lynn and Joe's relaxed and "un-fussy" attention to detail provides guests with every convenience to enjoy a true vacation, tailored to one's interests: relaxation, information for exploration of Mid-coastal Maine, the pleasures of music, food, local culture, rest and activity - enjoyment of nature on land and water. All this, with the small conveniences and luxuries that make for a very special experience - a tasteful and spotless apartment stocked with provisions crafted by Maine artisans and businesses - everything one may need in kitchen,, bath and bedroom to be pampered and cared for. In addition, Joe's 3-hour boat trip (scheduled at your convenience) highlights Harpswell's Island communities and harbours - and allows visitors to understand what Maine life and history have to offer. We left our 10-day stay feeling rejuvenated and very appreciative for all we had learned and enjoyed.

Private, cozy, perfect escape!

Our hosts, Joe and Lynn, were extremely helpful in filling us in on places of interest in Maine that we were not aware of (Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens and the Maine Maritime Museum for a start!). Communication was excellent prior, during, and afterwards, plus all the privacy you could ask for. There is wi-fi at your fingertips and wonderful welcome treats of wine, cheese, local maple syrup, IPA beer, and essentials of eggs, milk, and butter . There are all the beach essentials you might need to spend a day on the beach as well. They did not forget anything! Did I mention it was really clean and the bed was amazingly comfortable? Don’t miss this chance to relax and explore Maine in this wonderful place. We would recommend this to everyone and would return without a question. Thank you Joe and Lynn!!
