Gorgeous 3700 Square Foot home in the Oakland Hills. 20min ride to downtown San Francisco and 6min drive to Rockridge Bart station. Located on Joaquin Miller Road right across the street from two regional parks, Redwood Regional and Joaquin Miller park with ample trails, creeks and views of the Bay and San Francisco for those who also enjoy the outdoors.

Attractive Mediterranean style building; clean and well maintained. Open floor plan! High end furniture and decor. Light-filled living & dining rooms with soaring ceiling. Dramatic views of the Bay and city lights. Great balcony to relax and enjoy the views day or night. Expansive contemporary kitchen/family room combo with easy outdoor access to a huge deck overlooking the woods and views of the water. Sunny loft area to relax and enjoy the views.

A perfect spot

A perfect spot to spend a weekend with your family! A spacious and welcoming home with spectacular views, where you feel like you at a retreat in the woods, but it is close to everything Berkeley and Oakland have to offer.

Great property

Nice hikes right across the street and a short drive to grocery and some nice restaurants. Properly was clean, quiet, and in good working order, host was responsive and helpful. A small group of us were traveling to meet with colleagues for work and this was a great property for that.

Good spot for team offsite

We hosted 4 of our remote team members overnight here, and used the main spaces for our team offsite. The space has good flow and lots of space for a group of about 18 (our size). The outdoor patio made for a great space for socializing and taking breaks. This was great for our easygoing crowd, but the wifi sometimes lagged, we had to bring in our own coffee pot because there were only french presses, and there wasn't AC on what happened to be a pretty warm week in Oakland. All of these were easy to accommodate and the owners were very responsive and solution-oriented as well. Would recommend for a team, or for a luxurious weekend outing for friends!

Excellent house in Oakland hills.

Clean and quite spacious. Fully equipped. Good Wi-Fi. Very pleasant and responsive owner. The 3 of us had a very nice Christmas Eve and day here. Convenient to commercial needs. No major problems at all. One minor suggestion: Master bedroom would benefit from a place to store and hang clothes.

Stunning view, close proximity to hiking in a clean house with a gourmet kitchen.

We spent an early Thanksgiving with family in Oakland and this house was perfect for our needs. The kitchen is a chef’s dream, with plenty of counter space and a huge open space for family to gather. The deck outside allowed us to gather family including an immune compromised individual in a safe beautiful setting. Our host was excellent and can’t think of a single complaint if I tried! Thank you so much!!

Thanksgiving Family Getaway

Great kitchen and den area, allowing everyone to join in the fun while socially distancing with masks. Outdoor patio worked well for meals, the view of the bay at sunset was fabulous. Felt welcomed with fresh flowers, wonderful host!

Clean, central location, but appears to be full time residence....

Came for the weekend for a family memorial. First impression was that this house appears to be a full time residence for a family with two young children and when they get a renter they vacate for the weekend. I believe that this should be disclosed in the description of the property. There was absolutely NO closet space for our 11adults and no dressers. They do not provide the bed arrangements in the description but there was 1 real king bed and 1 real queen. The other 2 queens were blow up mattresses and a 1 futon. The refrigerator had 3 open shelves and the rest was full of their food. NO screens on the windows and the A/C has been disconnected. When I asked the owner about it she said to leave the windows open. 7 of the 11 got mosquito bites. The plumbing fixtures were loose throughout the house and one of the three showers was unable to be used because the fixture kept falling off. I notified the owner and she said "all the plumbing fixtures are due to be fixed the following Tuesday." And "sorry for the inconvenience". The owner was easy to get ahold of and the house was clean. But overall we were all disappointed. I think for the amount charged for a night we should at least have real beds to sleep in, closets for our clothes, screens or A/C and a coffee maker! (even though they did disclose that there is NO coffee maker).

Thank you for your review. I aim to please each guest who stays at our place, which is why I was saddened to hear you did not enjoy your stay. I would like to take a moment and respond to your comments/ review. Closets: There are three closets upstairs. And one large closet for the room downstairs. I am surprised you were not able to locate them, as they are in each room. Plumbing: There was an issue with the faucet in the middle bathroom. We have addressed it before you checked-in, I did mention in my arrival message to you that the work was not complete and that the issue was not fully resolved. It has since been fully taken care of. Yes, this is our home. Not sure that is even an issue that needs to be disclosed. After all this entire platform is about home-sharing... Regarding screens on the windows upstairs, yes there are none. As well as no AC which is FULLY disclosed in the amenities description of the home. Rarely does it get very hot in the Bay Area. Unfortunately, you arrived on a weekend that was hotter than usual. I thank you for your review but at the same time feel you were not fully truthful or accurate in your review. I also advertise our home on the other big home sharing site, which I am not allowed to share the name, please visit my page there. My reviews with 98% of the guests who stayed at our home is 5 stars.
