It’s a great time to start the new year in the Bay Area! Come stay at my family home inspired by my travels around the globe as a musician and my pride for ‘The Town.’ Nestled in a beautiful and quiet historic North Oakland neighborhood, my home features: gorgeous coffered ceilings, a formal dining room that seats six, chef's kitchen, queen-sized beds with 1,000 thread-count luxury sheets in every bedroom, spa-like bathrooms with thoughtful toiletries, home office, and a zen backyard with sound system and BBQ. Features “SMART” home details such as light and sprinkler automation, NEST thermostat, and a RING doorbell (with backyard camera) that can be operated with an ALEXA home device. Its perfect for the solo business traveler, the couple looking for some time to get away from it all, adventure seekers wanting to explore the San Francisco Bay Area while still being in close proximity to SF and Napa, or the family road trip stop off (we've got private off-street parking that can accommodate an RV or even a boat). You'll feel like you're in your own oasis while staying here!
Taking a family trip with small kiddos? Perfect home for families with small children and I can supply a high chair, crib, and car seat if needed so you don’t have to travel with these bulky items. Oh and did I mention the location?! Meet up at ‘The Greek!’ Perfect home to stay in while taking in a summer concert at The Greek Theatre. My home is a quick ten minute drive to/from the UC Berkeley campus and a ten minute drive to the vibrant downtown Oakland attractions and restaurants. Heading off for the day to explore San Francisco and celebrate PRIDE is literally a 15-minute drive over the Bay Bridge, and wine country is a 45-minute drive away- so basically LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! Can’t wait to meet you!

The location was perfect - walkable to restaurants on College, close to Berkeley and easy access to the freeways to get into San Francisco and Oakland. The host was very helpful answering my questions and accessible via text. The house was perfect for our family gathering over the Thanksgiving weekend! Thanks so much!

Just right!

Simone was a warm and welcoming host from original booking to our departure. She created a home that provided everything we needed. 5 of us comfortably stayed 3 nights for a UC Berkeley event. The location is convenient to campus and the safe parking behind a gate was a plus. We needed an extension cord and Simone immediately delivered one. We even used the washer/dryer. Simone's place was just right for our stay!

Wonderful house!

This place was the ideal location for us visiting our daughter in college for her graduation. Simone thought of everything! The kitchen was well equipped, as where the bathrooms and bedrooms. The backyard was a plus. We would definitely stay here again.

Great stay in Oakland!

The house was lovely, cozy and well stocked, including snacks and bathrobes. Simone was very responsive and easy to communicate with, and the location was great - a 15 minute stroll to lots of restaurants and businesses, plus great parks and a beautiful neighborhood to walk around. Highly recommend!

Simone & David are outstanding hosts!

I booked Simone & David's beautiful house rather last minute before Christmas as my daughter had to have leg surgery & I needed a place with a first floor bedroom and few entrance steps. Boy, did we get lucky! I can easily say that Simone and David are the best & most attentive hosts that I have ever experienced. The house itself has been beautifully renovated. The decor and artwork are very well done too (and I'm picky). Every need has been thought of in this well stocked home!

Pleasant and convenient

This was the most well-stocked vacation rental we've stayed at. The dining table and living room worked well for us as gathering places. Our host was very gracious and thorough in showing us around. Off street parking was excellent, with spaces for our 3 cars. There were 7 in our party, including six adults and a teenager. Sleeping was a little tricky for us since the bedrooms held 6 and the teenager didn't want to sleep on the living room couch. It worked, due to everyone's flexibility. Also, the trundle bed, where my husband and I slept, would not have worked for everyone, but we are pretty nimble. Overall, it was a charming home.

Absolute 5-Star Gem!

We have stayed in many properties over the years and this home is the best by far! The owner met us personally upon arrival and showed us around the house. She provided every convenience imaginable for our stay (slippers, robes, toiletries, snacks, beverages, games, laundry, and so much more!) The historic home is newly updated and tastefully decorated with a nod to Oakland history. It has a lovely backyard with spaces for lounging, playing, and off-street parking all secured behind closing gates. The neighborhood is charming and convenient to shops and restaurants. We were in town to visit the UC Berkeley campus and will definitely return to stay here when we are next in town. Highly recommend this lovely home!

We loved it!

We had an amazing stay at Simone’s place! The location was central to everything we wanted to see and do, and had a good bed/bath set up for two couples traveling together. Simone was very communicative leaving up to the stay and the personal welcome/walkthrough was really nice. The stocked snacks and drinks and beautiful freshly cut flowers were such nice extras!!! Thank you, Simone!

Excellent Stay

The reviews for this property are all accurate. Simone is a beyond fantastic host. The home is adorable, very clean, and loaded with amenities. The neighborhood is quiet and is conveniently located near a variety of transportation options (highways, Bart, ect). We had a rental vehicle and the property has private parking behind a locked gate, which was a huge bonus. One of the cutest and best equipped places I've ever stayed in. If I could give her more than 5 stars I would.

Great Cali Getaway

The house is in a nice neighborhood that is convenient to dining, parks, and San Francisco. It is very nicely furnished with everything you need for your stay. It has a nice back yard and a nice gated parking area. The property owners are very helpful and responsive and helped to make our stay perfect. The house came stocked with a lovely pantry as well. We totally enjoyed our stay in this adorable home!

Great stay!

Our family with 2 small kiddos stayed here during our stay in the Bay Area. Very easy check in and out process. Lots of thoughtful extra like the pantry stocked with kid snacks and it was nice to have cooking basics- spices, oil, etc. Very clean as well!

Warm and Wonderful

We've stayed in many VRBO's and other rentals over the years, but we've never had such a pleasant and enjoyable stay as we did at Simone and David's home in Oakland. Simone is the most incredible host we've ever had the pleasure of renting from, the home is cozy and wonderfully appointed, the kitchen is well stocked and the location affords numerous nearby cafes and markets within easy walking distance. Simone was immediately attentive to even our most minor inquiry, and made us feel very welcome in her home. We will definitely look to stay here again on future visits to Oakland.

Best Check-in Experience Ever! 5 Star!

First, the owner was incredibly friendly and made the check-in experience amazing. Explained everything and even provided suggestions of local restaurants. Just A+. The house was superb - clean and the best equipped place I've ever stayed at. There was literally nothing we could have asked for. I've stayed at fancy hotels that didn't have as nice amenities. Truly an amazing house, in a great location, with an incredible owner. I can't recommend this place enough!

Extremely hospitable

Simone is the ultimate hostess - from her communication to the charming updated bungalow to the stocked fridge and pantry, everything had been thought of to make our trip be as smooth and enjoyable as possible. We felt very taken care of and our stay was wonderful.

We had a great stay. The host had the best service and communication of any host I have worked with. The house was exceptionally well stocked with the basics but also tons of snacks, spices, oils, sodas and more. We asked for 2 pack and plays and the host accommodated that as well. It was a great experience

This property owner has thought of everything you could possibly need and more. This experience was like staying in a luxury resort. Smart home, great location, superior stocked kitchen, spa robes, fresh flowers, a huge jar of fresh Oreos in the pantry! We will be back!!

Like staying at your friend's while they're away

We all felt welcomed to a home - more than a house a home. The house had everything we needed to be comfortable. And, so much more, like coffee pods for the Keurig, and stuffed cookie jars. The home reflected the fact that it was the family home of Simone who was our host. And, we could easily get to Berkeley for our grandosn's Bar Mitzvah, to the city to ride the cable cars, and into Sonoma for winery visits. This is a great spot to tour the Bay Area

My house was built in 1910 and has some amazing original features like coffered ceilings, glass pocket doors, and a marble fireplace. The modern bathrooms are inspired by my love for spas and tropical locations.
