On the shore of Lake Superior, Baywatch is sure to be the perfect place to stay while visiting Munising, Michigan. Centrally located in the Upper Peninsula, Michigan, Munising is the gateway to the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and a spectacular year-round travel destination. There's so much to see and do while visiting Alger county -- Grand Island, Hiawatha National Forest, Alger Underwater Preserve, waterfalls, lighthouses, and rock formations. Summer or winter there are many area activities and events that are fun for all ages.

From this home, the view of the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is absolutely awesome. A trip to Grand Island's National Recreation Area is within a few minutes by water. A day on the water or just sitting and relaxing on the deck will make your vacation one you'll never forget.

Great place to stay

Amazing view of Lake Superior from our deck. The house was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pan, etc. It is next door to the ship wreck tours and close to the pictured rock tours. The wifi was good. Very quiet area at the edge of town.

The location of this place is worth its weight in gold! The view off the deck was awesome. It was right next door to the glass bottom boat tour dock. We had three couples and it was spacious and comfortable for all. We would definitely go back there.

Very comfortable and boat watching was great! Our Kayak outfitter was right down the road and it was conveniently located to shops and restaurants.

Very beautiful stay

Property was very nice and clean as advertised. Great location and plenty of room with a great view of the bay. The town of Munising was very pleasant and really great food and people.

Perfect location!

This place was perfect for my group of fishermen! We were right on the water and close to all the good fishing spots! Been here multiple times and will be back next year!

winter stay

The property is nice and in a great location. There were a few minor things about the house, missing light bulb, towel bar, a quirky toaster especially the left side and stove that worked, but adjusting it was quirky also. The deck wasn't useable, but that was not their fault, it had 3 feet of snow on it, we smiled. We had a great time and the house was comfortable.

Beautiful place, but . . .

Place needs work: missing towel bar, broken TP roller, missing light bulbs, broken garage door opener, no instructions on using the TV. BUT, well equipped, very clean and a killer deck! So, all-in-all, I’d rent it again.

My family and I had a good time at this house. The view was stunning and the house was very clean. Lots of recommendations for activities and places to eat from the owner. We would definitely go back!

Family stay

Property was clean, accessible to everything, had trouble with checking in as far as access to the proprty so couldn't check in on time, no view of Pictured Rocks from back deck as described. Wouldn't rent this property again due to preferring a sandy beach on the property.

Deceptive Description

My girlfriends and I have rented many houses through VRBO . This house was adequate. It was for the most part clean and adequately stocked. When we arrived, there were towels in the dryer & dishes in the dishwasher, something we've never experienced. The big disappointment was the description that said "watch the sunrise over Pictured Rocks." It was the promise of an amazing sunrise that caused me to choose this over a house with 200 feet of beach in Au Train. You cannot see Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore from this property. You see the sunrise across Munising Bay and the Neenah Paper Factory.

Perfect Retreat

We came to do a lot of outdoor activities in the Munising area and this was a great location, very near kayaking tours and the scenic boat tour and about 30 minutes from the Chapel Rock hike. We loved Grand Island, and the ferry is also very close to this location! The house was very clean with the perfect number of bedrooms and baths for three of us. We also loved the deck overlooking the lake with the fire pit. Beautiful vacation spot!!

Perfect Location for Exploring the UP

We couldn't have chosen a better jumping-off point for our first trip to the UP! We made day trips west to Canyon Falls (2 hrs), east to Mackinac, Crisp Point, Tahquamenon Falls (2+hrs) and south to Kitch-iti-ipi (1hr) ending each night around the fire on our deck. The house was better than we'd expected. Plenty of room for the 7 of us (4 adults, 3 teenagers 13,15,17). Two full bathrooms made it easy for us to get ready. Really comfortable living area and beds. Other reviews said that they were bothered by the boat rental companies located in front of the house but we didn't find this the case at all. We were here at the end of June, plenty of boat tours happening and we felt we had plenty of privacy. Communication with Erin and Jake was great. They were always quick to respond to texts and had great pre-trip advice from where to find groceries to what not to miss.

Nice cabin for family vacation

The property locates in a convenient place. Less than 5 minutes drive to restaurants and grocery store. The owner is very friendly and easy to communicate with. Check-in process is simple and straightforward. The property is very clean and the kitchen is equipped with all sorts of cooking wares. We enjoyed staying here. We hope to come back some time next year.

Our Ireland

We were all supposed to be in Ireland. We had 7 people, all adults some with lots of experience at being an adult, lol. place was fantastic, great location - thought about dropping to 4 stars on location because of the boat tours next door, but they had gift shop next door, right behind Muldoon's for Pasties, you really can't beat location even if there is boat tours leaving out front. Loved the Brewery downtown. It wasn't Ireland, but we had a fantastic time anyway. Thanks to Erin for being great host. :)

Family and Friend Getaway

We enjoyed our time our time at this wonderful house overlooking Munising Bay. Three great bedrooms, great kitchen, two great bathrooms and relaxing deck and fire pit. Close to many great activities like waterfalls, Pictured Rocks, and stores and restaurants.
