Our cabin is a luxurious private mountain escape with all the comforts of home; nestled in 2+ acres, a few minutes drive to the quaint mountain towns of Sylva & Dillsboro, less than 1 hour from Asheville.

Smoky Mountain Expwy provides easy access to Asheville, Blue Ridge Parkway, Cherokee, Bryson City, Maggie Valley & Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Enjoy fishing, tubing, kayaking, hiking State and National parks with stunning views/waterfalls , or just relax and unwind in the fresh, cool mountain air.

The Cabin is very quiet and peaceful. The historic town of Sylva is quaint and eclectic, and has been called an "Asheville alternative for the crowd weary".

Located in the heart of Jackson County, NC - a premier Fly/Trout Fishing and general outdoor enthusiast destination!

We have high speed fiber-optic internet.

WCU visit

Cullowhee is becoming a 2nd home. Grandaughter is attending this coming year. This beautiful home was exactly what I needed. The mountain was beautiful. The road up to the cabin was very well maintained, such that you did only need a car to access cabin. Bird feeders created a busy picture perfect of numerous birds.. Well stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds. Cant say enough. I definitely want to visit again.

A Beautiful Retreat in the Woods

This was our second stay and just as good! We love the comfort, amenities and peacefulness of the property. It is close to Sylva and easy proximity to so many other fun things to do!

Perfect and classy

Perfect location and amazing cabin. Super clean, comfortable and very classy. All the furniture and decoration was very tasteful. WiFi was faster than my own. Close to town and all the hikes on the Parkway and Smokies. Highly reccomend it

Wonderful Cabin in the Mountains

We loved our stay at Tranquility Cabin. We were in town for our son's graduation from Western Carolina University and wish we had stayed sooner on previous visits. Thankfully, we have another child attending WCU and have four more years. We will be back! We have stayed in many VRBOs around the U.S. and this cabin was one of the best. It has all of the comforts of home and tucked amongst the trees. The birds were fun to watch from the porch and a wild turkey greeted us on our arrival. Steve & Angie were also amazing communicating with us - giving excellent directions and so, so much information about things to do in the area. Thank you!!

Wonderful Again !

The cabin was immaculate and had everything we needed. We enjoyed wonderful sits on the porch and by the fire pit. The owners, Steve and Angie, are awesome. Communications before, during, and after the stay. If you want to enjoy an awesome cabin, and the fresh air of the outdoors, book this one. Additionally, grocer’s and other retail stores are nearby if needed. Love this place !!

Peaceful

Our stay at Tranquility Cabin was exactly what we needed for much-needed R&R. It was above and beyond our expectations! We loved how clean everything was, the privacy, the details that made our stay even better, the welcome goodie basket, the front porch to sit and watch birds and just relax and unwind, the ease of registration, check-in and check-out. We will definitely consider returning to the cabin again - we know we want to make more trips to the beautiful area and take in more of the sights and experiences that we did not have time for on this trip! Thank you So much Steve & Angie!

Tranquility Cabin lived up to its name!

The cabin is wonderfully secluded, quiet, and fully equipped with everything you could want. Hosts Angie and Steve were incredibly helpful in all ways, especially with suggestions of places to hike and see wonderful views -- especially appreciated just before the threatened government shutdown that would have closed GSMNP. The local towns have interesting stores, cafes and ice cream shops. Try Sippers in Maggie Valley for fabulous coffees and hot chocolate. We left relaxed, refreshed and delighted with Angie and Steve's kindness.

Quiet and Peaceful

We really loved that they labeled all the remotes and light switches. The cabin is very quiet my husband and I loved to have our coffee outside where we could watch the birds. We had everything we needed and it was close to town. The cleaning could have been a bit better by their cleaning person but I went around and did a quick wipe down and one of the toilets was brown when we checked in. I flushed it and put in some bleach and it was fine after that. Angie offered to have the cleaning lady come back out which was really nice of her but I didn't mind doing it myself. Overall it was a really good stay.

One of our best VRBO rentals

Can’t say enough about how organized, stocked, and are very comfortable two bedroom cabin. Lovely spot on the mountain, good thing we brought our truck! Even all of the lights were labeled for an easy transition, nice quality, bathroom towels, and full supplies for laundry. we made a fire in the fire pit one night. Enjoyed all of the local hikes and decided to do river tubing in the Oconolufee river, great fun but only minor bruises. Ha ha. We even went to the local HART theater for a very nice production call brilliant things. Spent one day in Asheville all day spent at the river art district, picked up some lovely places and then had dinner at the Omni Grove Inn Vue1913 had a fabulous dinner with a lovely waitress name, Sandy. Our retreat to God's country in the mountains of North Carolina on July 1-8, 2023.

The property is magnificent. The cabin is equipped with every imaginable home comfort. The landscape, and the woods around the cabin are beautiful. We also enjoyed the wildlife. Steve and Angie provided lots of information on the activities in town and around. They were very responsive and immediately answered any question we had. We would love to come back. Tranquility Cabin

Relaxing family retreat

We had the best time at Tranquility Cabin. So clean with all the amenities of a family home. The kids enjoyed roasting marshmallows, finding tadpoles, birdwatching, and playing cornhole. We hope to visit again!

We chose this cabin to stay to be close to Western for my sons graduation ! It was close to everything. It was clean and so cozy ! Now the drive up to the mountain took my breath the first time, but was fine after ! Thank you for sharing your cabin with us ! We will be back !!

Beyond every expectation!

Our family visited the cabin as a celebration of our son's 10th birthday. Our family takes lots of weekend trips to explore different areas, creating new memories. Angie and Steve's cabin is utter perfection. There is simply no other way to phrase that. The grounds are breathtaking; the cabin was pristine and absolutely gorgeous. So many times when we've stayed in hotels or other cabins, I've thought to myself - there is no way the owners have ever actually spent a night here. This cabin is the opposite. EVERY single touch we could possibly have hoped for was made. The cabin itself is very high quality; the light switches are labelled; the firewood is thoughtfully laid out; the beds are warm and cozy. If you are searching for a relaxing mountain getaway complete with sunlight and birdsong waking you in the mornings ... look no further. Thank you, Angie and Steve, for sharing your piece of paradise with our family.

Great mountain getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is not false advertising that the name is Tranquility cabin. This was by far the cleanest place my family has stayed in. We have a toddler, so toys get everywhere, and there wasn’t a dust bunny or dirt to be had. It’s a nice area, and while it rained most of the time we were there we didn’t feel cramped or trapped. The porch was great to be able to sit and watch the birds at the feeder, the wild turkeys wandering through the property, the rain and the mist. It was quiet and peaceful. We will be staying here again next time we head up that way!

Amazing house in very private setting

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Tranquility Cabin! Plenty of space for everyone to relax and all of the amenities of home, plus a few extras. We spent lots of time by the fire pit and enjoying the views from the yard. We'd love to come again!

We wanted to find a property that we would love to retire to one day.
We loved it at hello, after seeing hundreds and driving forever; this was charming, leveled (we don't feel like we will fall off the cliff). It is very private and it gave us an amazing sense of peace.

Sitting on porch rockers enjoying the birds, and the trees as well as the crisp mountain air was perfect, but as we sat in the evening and saw the majestic night sky without the city lights, we were sure we wanted others to enjoy it as well.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Upon entering our gated mountain community, you'll enjoy easy access to the cabin with level parking - and NO NEED for a 4x4!. Only 10 minutes from town, but feels like wilderness. The closest neighbor is downhill and barely visible through the trees. It looks like a mountain cabin, it feels like home.
