Sandpiper 120B is an unpretentious and inviting studio apartment, perfect for travelers on a budget, or who enjoy "living like locals". This small but mighty unit has a queen bed, sizeable kitchenette, private lanai, and a walk-in shower in the private bath. There's even a sweet little dining area, perfect for sharing takeout for 2. WiFi and SmartTV included.

The Sandpiper Village is situated right in the heart of Princeville, perfect for hitting all the North Shore hotspots! Sealodge Beach, a beautiful and secluded hidden gem, is just 20 minutes away. Enjoy a laidback walk on the pedestrian path by the Makai Golf Course before braving the muddy trail down to Sealodge Beach. Anini Beach, great for snorkeling, swimming, and sunset strolls, is also just 15 minutes away on foot. You can stop by the Westin Resort to grab Starbucks before heading out to the beach, or grab dinner at the Nanea Restaurant after an afternoon in the sun. You can also walk to the Princeville Shopping Center just a mile away for everything from groceries, shave ice, and locally churned ice-cream, to happy hour, farmers markets, and hula shows. For more excitement, and some of the best beaches in the world, you can drive just 10 minutes away to the bustling island village of Hanalei.

If you prefer to do less and relax more on vacation, the Sandpiper complex is perfect for a laidback staycation. Spend the day lounging and soaking up the sun by the tiled pool and jacuzzi, or sear up some ultra-fresh fish on the communal gas grills. Afterwards you can end your day enjoying the tropical weather with a drink on the lanai. If you're looking to explore the rest of the island on vacation, be sure to budget your time accordingly. Drive time to the East Side (where the airport is located) is roughly 55 minutes, and drive time to the South Shore is 75 minutes.

As with most homes on Kauai, this vacation rental is NOT air conditioned.

Although this home has internet, the speed and reliability cannot be guaranteed due to the remote location and the service being provided by a third-party.

Good location for visiting the north shore area. Nice layout and plenty of towels and cleaning supplies provided. Dishes were in pretty good shape. Had no concerns using them. Pool area was great. Would stay here again if ever back on Kauai. Reservations and communications before we arrived were excellent and appreciated

Only a few marks around the room, other than that a wonderful place to stay at. Did get locked out once due to a power failure. But the on call staff was able to get me in the room about 20 min after I found out that I was locked out.

Everyone making this place out to be awful, and it’s really not. If you are looking for a safe, cheap place to shower and sleep at this is as good as it gets. No A/C, your not gunna need it at night. If your planning on staying cooped up inside for your trip, stay home or go to a resort.

PROS: property was very clean, bed is comfortable, enjoyed the little bistro table for eating, basic supplies for coffee, eating, and trash removal provided, ceiling fan plus two standing fans give good air circulation to help cool off and sleep comfortably, mornings are quiet and enjoyable on the lanai, really clear and effective communication about check-in/check-out/rules, helpful property management.CONS: sleeper sofa has seen better days, it's squeaky and has a funky smell; policy permits use of only one set of towels, if you use more, you are responsible to wash them yourself but there's no laundry in unit or on property.

Excellent location.

The studio was perfect for two of us. Didn’t have a stove but there are bbqs poolside. The pool and hot tub were lovely as was the area. We would definitely return.

Perfect Getaway

My friend and I enjoyed our stay in Kauai. This place was located within walking distance of a BEAUTIFUL secret beach (Hideaway beach). Close to the store, restaurants, and a short drive from all the best beaches on the island. The place was very clean and the check in process went very smoothly. Thank you!

This place stinks many ways. First the deception of the listing photos. Please note that your view is the rear parking lot… not this photoshopped image. Second it really stinks… think moldy basement or locker room. When we called to cancel and get our money back the agent informed us that that smell is the “musty” smell that all their properties have due to the high humidity! Really? Wow! The person we spoke to on the phone was mean, rude, hostile.Other issues include the front door lock does not work… we had to let them know about it twice. Bathroom tiles are cracked. No air conditioning but you hear the neighbors air conditioner!Kitchen… note you will be using a rusted hot plate to cook on. No blender. There was mice poop in the kitchen.Sofa actually stinks so you will be sitting on the bed or stools. The bed is so soft 2 people can’t sleep in w/out sinking.The toilet does flush it floods to the top when the unit next door runs their dishwasher.The unit is dark, dank, absolutely no air circulation.There is mould in this unit that had been just painted over. For your health and to have better Hawaiian vacation stay somewhere else and avoid places run my this agent.Don’t waste your money on this dive.

While we appreciate you taking the time to leave your feedback, Suren, we do not appreciate your dishonesty. The photo of the lanai in the listing is not photoshopped, and in fact a car is clearly visible in the background. We also prominently mention in the listing that this unit does NOT have air conditioning, and we regret that you overlooked these details when booking with us. Additionally, when a member of our staff spoke to you on the phone regarding the smell, we agreed that what you were smelling was likely the hot asphalt from the parking lot being repaved. When you let us know that the front door lock was not working, we promptly sent someone over to replace the batteries. The other issues in this review we were not made aware of during your stay. Had you notified us that you needed a blender, a new hot plate, or a floor fan, we would have happily provided those items for you. We take guest satisfaction and safety very seriously, and none of our cleaning or inspecting team have been able to verify any claims of rodent droppings or mold within the unit. We regret that we were not the right choice for your vacation, and we wish you better luck on your future adventures. Aloha and safe travels

So…. Let’s start with the positives. This unit was conveniently located, had access to a nice pool & hot tub, and had the bare necessities. It was also an affordable option for a last minute trip, so we got what we paid for. However— the room did not feel clean, there was very poor lighting in the unit, and for how expensive our stay was (and I’m sure other’s stays), it was in poor condition. The mats were falling apart, the bedding didn’t fit the bed or the pillows, the dishware smelt like mildew, the cabinets were sealed shut from excessive paint, and the water pressure was next to none…. What really did us in was the check out notes saying if we used more than 2 towels we would be charged $35 per load to wash…. And on top of that, had to clean the unit/take out the trash/run the dishwasher/etc before check out. Now— I would have done this regardless. But after charging hundreds of dollars for a cleaning fee, it’s incredible to me that they have these expectations and rules for the guests to essentially do all the cleaning otherwise they would impose hefty and unreasonable fees. Luckily we only used the unit to sleep, otherwise I think we would have had a lot more to say about the conditions of the property. Unfortunately, we will not return or use this property for future stays.

Princeville condo. The location is great for the good area very nice surrounding golf course we wish there is a better or a map of where the units is located since it was hard to find in the evening, also there is no assigned parking and you wish to be able to find a not reserve spot which was not explained at the time of booking. The condo was clean , but had one bath towel for two adults which was kind of surprising if you want to use more you have to pay for the laundry $15. A little disappointing was that there was nothing in the kitchen beside the basic equpment, nothing extra , not even salt or pepper , no beach equipment except two towels, There was also explained that there is a charge if you destroy or loose beach towel . The kitchen does have plates and cups but all the glasses are plastic and that was not even one nice wine glass there. ( maybe it just us but we hate plastic drink ware) There is no stove just hot plate which we did know in advance but also no dishwasher or washer and dryer, not sure if you can dry your towels on the patio, was nothing to hang it on. No hangers in the closed either. Maybe us just used to have different experience than other people but we expect a little bit more attention to details :) no AC but ceiling fan works ok with windows and patio door open, which makes all neighboors activities very loud. We can hear peple singing in shower, :) but residents above us were just th “best” having parties till 3 am and playing piano after midnight . Also on the patio a vent coming out of neighbor dryer makes ir very unpleasant to sit outside, ironically you will not want to be therr because patio chairs are extrimely uncomfortable. We met some cockroach and overall place needs dusting( dust bunnies hanging iff wall decoration) And yes, dining table still shaking .. i wish we can write better review, truly, but i dont want anyone be deceived by nice pictures. Owner needs to fix locks , offer some extra at least to make it worthwhile for future tenants.

We're sorry to hear that you were not completely satisfied with your stay. We are as clear as we know how to be with our parking instructions to guests: "You may park in any of the free unnumbered parking places across from the numbered spaces. (There is no reserved parking stall for 120B.)" We also try to be accurate in our description of the kitchenette and what it includes: "Kitchenette includes microwave, hot plate, fridge, toaster, coffee maker." We're sorry you overlooked the spare towels in the closet :-( I'm sure they would have been a convenience. We indeed may choose to charge guests if they lose or take beach towels, which is pretty standard, and fortunately rarely occurs. We were not aware of continuing noise issues, and wish you had let us know. We could have provided the resident manager's phone number so that he could take steps to solve the problem. We checked the lockbox twice at guest's request, once at arrival and once at departure, and could not find any problem with it. We provide instructions and an illustration for how to operate the lockbox, but I guess they can be challenging if people are not used to operating them. We do put a spare set of keys inside so guests don't have to use the lockbox every day. We'll make sure to put some hangers in at once. We would have been happy to bring them for you if we'd known they were all gone :-( Wonder where they went?!?!? But we'll get more!

Cozy little spot. Great access to everything North Shore Kauai. Comfy Bed, everything good. The lone problem: the remote did not work for the TV b/c it is a Roku TV and the remote was not compatible. Easy work-around was just to use the ROKU app on our phones.

There's a kitchenette with fridge, microwave, hot plate, George Foreman grill, toaster, coffee maker and blender. You can't bake a turkey but you can easily prepare a simple meal for two. When the tradewinds die down, which fortunately is rare, it's hot and stuffy everywhere. Fans are provided and thankfully the trades rarely leave us for more than a day or two. There's big windows on both sides of the studio, nice airflow, nice natural light. They don't make it light and bright if it's gray and raining outside since they're not magic windows, but let in plenty of light when the sun is out. Just open the curtains.

Kauai visit

The location in Princeville is beautiful. The room itself is mediocre at best. even though there is a kitchen area there is nothing to cook with. There is a microwave, coffee pot and refrigerator provided, but no stove. There is two beach chairs and an umbrella, but no cooler available in the closet. At minimum, people generally need a some beach chairs and a cooler for checking things out on day trips in Hawaii. There also is no where to do Laundry. There may be somewhere on the Sandpiper Property, but none of the instructions or information we had available mentioned about Laundry facilities. The cable TV service was terrible. We could not even get local channels or watch a movie. Location is close to Hanalei Bay which is nice. Did not have AC or heater but weather was pleasant. All in all, I would have picked a nicer place to stay with more features and amenities if I were going to Kauai again.

We're so sorry the guest didn't read the description of the KITCHENETTE so that he wouldn't have been surprised that it is a kitchenette instead of a full kitchen. There isn't anywhere to do laundry, that's correct. Our arrival instructions include info on the laundromat and the fluff-and-fold drop off service in Kapaa, but there's no laundry onsite unfortunately. This cute little studio is a great affordable jumping-off point for exploring the island, it's a good value, but at this price point you don't find all the bells and whistles.

Pictures a bit optimistic, but quiet neighbors, near to beaches, nice surrounding

The tenant gives very few information on homestay and uses an own app or platform instead. This made it difficult for us to find the place, as the google maps indication is vague and the address misleading. You have to enter Albert Street in Princeville and take the next parking on the right. The apartment is in the ground floor, the balkony looks to the parking lot. Which is better than to the swimming pool, we found. The condition of the apartment is less new and light than the pictures make believe, say it is .. okay. There is no washing machine neither in the apartment nor in Sandpiper Village or Princeville, other than the lengthy but very general information on the platform says. You need a code for the key box, the code is indicated somewhere in the platform, you have to seek it. Sandpiper Village is a quite neighborhood, less high-proced than the Princeville luxury hotels. Priceville is well located, near to some nice beaches and the Napali Coast (even when the Highway was still closed). There is a Foodland store nearby.

wonderful stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I had a wonderful time staying here and was provided with all the needed instructions to find my way around. I especially loved the hot tub and prime location near the beach.

Nog the best stay!

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: “Don’t g”➖ 4 out of 6 days no internet and tv, many phone call have to do to get this settled.🤨5 X in stench and heat on terrace, with outlet of dryer by neighbors and above. Not on good during breakfast or dinner.Tropical gardenview terrace 😏is not a tropical garden but views of car park.If Sun is shining you neef sunglas all cars reflects. Table on terrace rusty, and ther was no tablecloth present to this hedge.Leaky faucet on terrace so watch out that you don't slip. No terrace for a relaxing holiday. Princeville rental

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were quite disappointed to find that basic amenities in the flat such as a cloth to wipe the bench, shampoo/conditioner, basic cooking equipment and supplies such as cooking oil that we expected and are generally provided in similar accommodation were not there. The stove was difficult to use as it did not get hot enough to cook effectively.The bedding was quite old and pilling, and consequently not very comfortable. For a week-long stay, we would have liked to have been able to use additional towels and sheets but were put off by the notice about additional cleaning fees.The pool area and bbq were great though.

We do apologize for the condition of the sheets. They've been taken out of service and replaced with new ones! There are spare towels in the closet along with the beach towels, and there are kitchen towels, kitchen rags, and a kitchen sponge. As outlined in our check-in instructions, we provide a "starter set" of basic amenities intended to tide guests over for a couple of days until they can shop. The starter set includes soap in the bathroom, a roll plus a spare of toilet paper, and paper towels in the kitchen. Also a little bottle of dish liquid. We don't provide personal items like shampoo. And opened food items are removed between guests, for reasons of health and hygiene. If they're present, we'll leave spices and cooking oil in place, but we don't stock them. We leave that to guests' individual taste. Wish the guest would have contacted us directly as we would have been happy to help them locate these items, or send the cleaner with extra if they'd been missing!

Nice place on the inside

The noise was just too much. It was constant. Neighbors are not considerate and it impeded on our trip and our sleep. Very nicely kept interior and clean. No cable, dishwasher, or laundry but luckily there was a Roku device which was great. I would stay here again but not at the price we paid.
