Sealodge J9 offers dramatic and uninterrupted oceanfront views, top floor privacy, and your own furnished oceanfront lanai. Living room and both bedrooms have big picture windows with full unobstructed ocean front panoramas. The decor is fun and island-themed, the furnishings comfortable, and there's beach gear in the closet for your fun in the sun. With a full kitchen, this charming sea view rental gives you the option to stay in and enjoy a romantic al fresco dinner on the lanai. If you don't feel like cooking, the Princeville center is one mile away and offers multiple dining options, in addition to a grocery store and a wine market. (Please note that there is no dishwasher.)

The master bedroom downstairs is furnished with a queen bed, and the accordion door can be closed to provide privacy from the living area. You'll fall asleep to the soothing sounds of the surf, and wake up to a glorious view without even having to get out of bed! Upstairs, you'll find a loft bedroom with two twin beds, and a second bathroom. The loft has a half wall so that it's open to the living room below. The cute island decor scheme continues up here, and there's an even more dramatic view. A second full bathroom is upstairs. With the punee in the living room (twin size window alcove bed) you can comfortably sleep 5 people. The punee is surrounded by windows and ocean views - perfect for a lazy morning watching for whales or spinner dolphins. Washer and dryer in the condo mean you can keep those beach towels fresh and clean. Enjoying a relaxing rainy afternoon indoors? Smart television, a DVD player, and free wifi are included. Heading to the beach? You'll find beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrella, boogie boards, and a cooler. This is the perfect island casual setting!

Our Kauai vacation rentals at Sealodge are located at the end of a small quiet side road, with no through traffic, that ends at a dramatic ocean bluff. These Princeville condos face the ocean on their lanai side. Parking is on the back side - it's free and conveniently close. A short hike brings you to the secluded north shore Sealodge Beach. The jungle trail crosses a small stream then descends to a secluded sandy cove. The ocean at Sealodge Beach is shallow and protected by a reef, making it ideal for snorkeling and swimming. There is a pool and BBQ area (grills are charcoal and you must bring your own briquettes). Try one of our Sealodge condos for a unique, personal, and affordable experience. Sealodge is comfortable, quiet, and island casual.

As with most homes on Kauai, this vacation rental is NOT air conditioned.

This is an upstairs condo so you need to be able to go up and down stairs. There are no elevators.

Although this home has internet, the speed and reliability cannot be guaranteed due to the remote location and the service being provided by a third-party.

The view from the lanai was lovely - we enjoyed the sound of the surf day and night. The apartment was clean and the furnishings pleasant. The complex was built in the 1970's, but the apartment had updates and maintenance done over the years such that it was very pleasant to stay there. It is not fancy or high-end, but also not as expensive as other places. Definitely would rent again. Note: the Sealodge Beach access is not good for anyone with mobility issues, in my opinion. The trail is steep, and it is muddy and very slippery after it rains. I suggest driving to any one of many nearby beaches for beach activities.

Place is quiet and nicely equipped for a relaxing vacation. Communication with manager was prompt.Only hiccup was that TV did not work and while it was evaluated and scheduled to be replaced that day, the replacement did not come until the last day of our stay. Unclear communication about the 4 day delay.

The location is perfect; at the end of a private road with access to a secluded beach. And the views ā€“ simply amazing. The condo comes with beach chairs, boogie boards and a cooler. The unit itself is dated, and the dishwasher was out of order, which is an irritant if you like to cook while on vacation. The dryer is a condenser dryer, not vented, so be prepared for long dry times if you have a lot of laundry. Note on the lack of AC: the condo is breezy and comfortable ā€“ until the trade winds stop blowing. Something to consider since we cannot control Mother Nature. All this being said, I would recommend Sealodge J9. The property company was communicative and easy to work with. And the location and views override the drawbacks.

Beautiful views from this apartment, both front and back. Checking in was easy and it was pretty easy to find. The beds were comfortable and generally the apartment was fairly well equipped. A pair of kitchen scissors might be a useful addition and it was unfortunate that the dishwasher was broken but we were able to do what we needed in the kitchen. Having the washer & dryer was really helpful and the beach chairs etc. Location was great, easy drive to supermarket and not far to Hanalei which is a lovely place to explore. It was warm when we were staying and though there was an ocean breeze, the fans were necessary!

Beautiful View Great Location!!!

View! The view was beautiful! Amazing ocean views from all rooms! So glad we prioritized view in a rental - this place really delivered!Location was ideal for exploring and adventuring on the north end of the island. Amenities are close: Princeville stores, Hanalei, lots of activities. You can walk to a snorkel cove/beach from the condo on a trail. Lots of others nearby with a short drive. The bedrooms were comfortable and two bathrooms & showers was great! The window bed was great too - plenty comfortable! Sheets for the window bed were difficult to find and only sorta fit - but worked okay once we found them.Lots of bath & hand towels 4 beach towls which was really nice! Washer & dryer in the condo is great!! Dryer doesn't dry fully, but having them was ideal for a longer trip!Communication & maintenance was lacking. The dishwasher was full of dirty standing water when we arrived. We informed right away & it took them 5 days to come & then they just put an "out of order" sign on it. This was okay, but would have been really difficult if it were something more necessary like the fridge or a bathroom. Also, we got caught on the other end of the island during a tsunami warning the very last night - I called, texted, and messaged that night requesting late check-out due to this, and they never responded.

Great stay!

Easy parking, great location, good for a family of 5 with older kids. The beach gear was nice to have, the umbrella was broken.. but didnā€™t hinder our fun time at the beach!

Hidden gem in Princeville!!

My wife and I stayed at this property for 10 days in January 2025. The place was exactly as described. The direct ocean views from all 4 windows were amazing. Although it was just the two of us, there were enough beds for 5-6 people. One of the qualities we especially enjoyed was how quiet it was. All we could hear was the surf and the occasional rooster that added to the ambience. Two washrooms were great. Although there was no A/C, by opening the windows on each side of the condo, it allowed a beautiful cross breeze that kept the place cool during the day as well as the night. The kitchen was compact but very functional. The area is surrounded by a sprawling golf course with beautiful trees and flowers abound. Amenities are a short drive away. There was also a secluded beach a short hike away. All in all we loved this property and we would love to go back for a future stay.

Beautiful property with incredible views

Plenty of room for a family of 4, gorgeous views from every room, lanai, beautiful grounds. Well supplied kitchen. Beach toys, beach chairs etc, were a nice extra touch. Lots of towels. Excellent communication from host, easy check-in and check-out. We would definitely stay here again. Couldnā€™t be improved upon.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo is centrally located to many places in the northern section of Kuaui. So many beaches to choose from and the unit provides chairs, an umbrella, cooler. The site itself is a bit like a fishbowl with neighbors visible in their units and the view from this unit is a bit obstructed with the layout of the building itself.

Like a Dream!

We loved the property! Location and view are perfect. Quiet and family friendly! We loved not having AC! Loved the sound of waves! We kept the windows up at night. It is a rainforest so it takes a bit longer for clothes to dry due to humidity. I loved the climate, it eliminated dry skin. (I am a country girl, so I had no problems.) We will, without a doubt, stay with this company again!

Quiet, beautiful, comfortable. It exceeded our expectations. The views and ocean breezes in every room were fantastic. The place was bigger than the pictures showed. Truly incredible location with a short hike to a secluded beach and snorkeling.

Great home base

This was a great home base for my family. The listing description/pics were accurate. My kids were comfortable in the loft and on the window bed. We cooked almost every meal at home in the kitchen. The views were beautiful. We enjoyed the beach chairs and boogie boards!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great getaway and always love staying in the sealodge rentals. This particular rental could use some TLC and upgrades but it wasn't enough to hinder our getaway. The main items is most of the screens need to be addressed as they have holes, which then meant we had bugs. Just some easy deep cleaning and a few minor fixes and this place would be right back at the top.
