Great Location! Perfect for Adirondack Park explorers, Lake Champlain Boaters, Ironman triathletes, SUNY Plattsburgh visitors, Family Vacationers and Bass Fishermen. Close to Plattsburgh, Burlington, Lake Placid, and Montreal. Wonderful Family Friendly Location with Boat Launch and State Parks and Beaches nearby.

Two bedroom finished camp with large open kitchen, bright and airy living/dining room with views of Lake Champlain and new modern bathroom. One bedroom has Queen size bed. Second bedroom has two double beds. Fully equipped kitchen. Wonderful family friendly area. Small beach provides lake access for swimming, paddle boards, canoes and kayaks (bring your own). The beach area and firepit is shared with the owner. Outdoor deck with views of Lake Champlain. Great location - 2 miles from free boat launch, 5 minutes from Point Au Roche State Park, 15 minutes from shops and restaurants in Plattsburgh, 15 minutes to ferry to Vermont, 45 minutes to Montreal, 1 1/2 hours to Burlington and Lake Placid. Please note there is no TV, but there is internet so you may access your own movie/TV shows on your own devices, and there is no AC, but there are many screened windows to welcome a breeze, and several ceiling fans and a portable fan. Summer camp living!

Lake Champlain Perfection

This was our third year at this property. We will be coming back. It is ideal for us to spend time with family in the area. The hosts are friendly and helpful.

Perfect In Every Way

This was exactly the relaxing cottage we needed. As we walked in we immediately noticed that it smelled fresh and clean. The owners provided everything we could imagine we might need from napkins to kayaks! It was a stress free time. We can't wait to go back.

Peaceful

Nice quiet area with small bay setting. Very enjoyable if you are looking to relax. Renters very accomodating. Hard water smells sulfury, but a small price to pay for what you get. Hoping to return next year!

Relax and Be Active!

This cottage vacation is both a good place to relax and at the same time there are so many active possibilities. We swam and skipped stones, watched wildlife and walked along the lake. There are 2 kayaks to use plus a little blue rowboat that children like. As well the area restaurants are varied for quick diner meals or a lovely evening out. This was our idea of a good summer break.

Inspiring Trip Down Memory Lane

My son and I enjoyed our trip immensely. The proximity and tranquility of the lake is captivating!!! We spent many hours watching and listening to the life around us on that perfect little beach! Nice seclusion. The amenities provided were bountiful, the neighbors were very quiet and respectful, easy access to 87 made travel easy. Thank you so much John and Stephanie you have outdone yourselves! Also, the water was perfect! No odor :)

Need to tell people it doesn’t have Tv or air conditioning not easy parking for boat property was really nice and very quiet . Not for fisherman great for someone without a boat .

Fantastic lake setting!

The location could hardly be more perfect! just across the road from the lake, the cool breezes made for pleasant relaxing on the deck as we enjoyed the beautiful views of the lake and the islands. the hosts allowed us to use two kayaks, which made it even more wonderful not having to rent our own. The kitchen provided all we needed for cooking and there is even a grill though we did not use it. We also enjoyed relaxing by the firepit on the lake (though we did not use that either). It's a simply fantastic setting and perfect for enjoying the lake. Some of the other reviews mention the odor in the water which we also noticed. The hosts provided some bottled water and we bought additional for drinking. No biggy. The only real disappointment in the property was the beds. After sleeping one night on the queen bed my back was so sore it did not recover until after I returned home, and I had to sleep the rest of the week on the floor to avoid further injury and pain. I strongly urge the owners to consider replacing all of the mattresses as the full size mattresses in the larger bedroom weren't any better.

Another great week at the lake!

I love this location, and couldn't ask for nicer or more accommodating hosts. John and Stephanie are wonderful, and we thank them again for sharing their little slice of heaven with us. We love Camp Moonshine!

The Wests provided us with everything we needed for our stay. We were prefectly content to enjoy a good book by the beach or explore the beautiful Lake Champlain area. Gracious and considerate hosts.

Nice Camp

Owners were next door and very helpful in explaining. Believe them about closing the windows if you go out. We went out for an hour, and on the way back a storm out of nowhere appeared. We were very greatfiul for the heads up. Thank you for the weekend on Lake Champlain.

Wonderful experience

This s a hidden gem location in a quiet calm cove on Lake Champlain. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone looking to be on the Lake and away from the bustle The host was accommodating and helpful while also respecting our space. The cabin is quaint and outfitted for pretty much anything. They also welcomed our dog which is a big plus. The decor and furnishings might be a bit dated but functional and comfortable. We had a great time.

Relaxing get away

A comfortable home on Land Champlain. Beautiful Sunrise. We loved biking and hiking in the area at Point Au Rouche Paark which is just minutes away. Our dog also enjoyed the trip.

Great house for lounging by the lake

Nice view of the lake from the front porch/living room. The only negative was the well water. The owners have done the best they can by including a water treatment system, but there is a strong sulphur from the water.

Relaxing Getaway

This was the perfect place to share quiet time away from the stresses of the world. The lake beckoned us every day, and the weather was phenomenal. Our hosts were wonderful.
