If you are looking for an oceanfront rental, then you have found it!

No need for beach parking passes! Wake up to a beautiful New England sunrise and end your day with cooling sea breezes and incredible sunsets. Enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail on the upper balcony or lower patio infused with the smell of the native sea roses. This rental is located on Beach Avenue, (Middle Beach, Kennebunk, Maine).

Short drive or bike ride to Kennebunkport shopping and attractions. Visit the lovely gardens of the Franciscan Monastery. Walk to Mother's Beach with a picnic lunch and enjoy the day at the beach playground.

Fine dining and family restaurants, art galleries, fishing and cruise boats can all be found locally. Enjoy golfing, biking, swimming, fishing and tennis.

An unbelievable location for your family to enjoy!!
The downstairs kitchen and living area have been completely rebuilt and updated in 2023 with new cabinets and quartz countertops, new floors, new stainless steel appliances, and a new kitchen island. Please make sure to checkout our complete photo album.

If you're scrolling in search of an off-season sanctuary by the ocean where you can take in the sea and sky (with or without braving the weather), your search is over!This was the standout location in 40 some years of family vacations by the sea. We stayed here for a milestone birthday celebration and it was a deeply relaxing, comfortable space for 3 generations (plus dogs) to share meals, play games, and even enjoy some quiet time in the cozy upstairs sitting area or to savor the spectacular view from the balcony.Kathy is a phenomenal host who responded so quickly and kindly to all our requests and questions-- including recommendations for a local birthday cake source!Best of all, older family members could enjoy the beauty of the exquisite, expansive ocean view without ever leaving the comfort of the first floor bedroom, the living room, and the front deck... a huge plus for guests with mobility challenges. (On a similar note, each room has its own thermostat- essential for a good night's sleep for all ages!)But be warned: if you stay here, you will never want to leave!

Perfect Everything

I could not have asked for a better Birthday getaway. The home is exactly as described and the pictures are spot on. The location is wonderful, especially if you enjoy watching the ocean, walking along beaches or gathering unique stones rolled by the sea. Kathy was very responsive and the home was set up with everything you could need. No skimping on anything. Great quality linens, towels and paper products. And to top it off, I was able to bring my fury friend which made my trip that much more enjoyable. Very dog friendly area which was great. Thank you Kathy and Dave for opening your home.

Lovely house by the ocean!

This was a lovely home base for a family vacation - very clean and comfortable with a well-stocked kitchen. The house was bright and airy, catching nice ocean breezes. Nice and quiet at night. Great communication with the owners.

End of Summer Stay

The property was great. Hard to beat its location between Gooch's beach and Mothers beach. House was very clean and had most of what we needed. Would stay here again. I was worried about it not having any AC so I brought some of my own fans. Turns out I didn't need to as the property provided its own fans. I must not have read the listing thoroughly enough.

Incredible Spot

Great house with incredible views throughout. House was clean, bedrooms had lots of space and living room/kitchen views were spectacular. Easy to leverage the outside with two Adirondack chairs and a dining table outside facing the water along, and a deck on the second level. Kathy is an exceptional host-- accommodating and excellent communication. We will definitely return.

Thanksgiving Beach get away.

House was amazing, directly on the Atlantic Ocean. The hosts took care of everything and just allowed us to enjoy our stay completely. Easy walk to town with great food and nice shops.

This is our second time staying at this lovely beach house. It is minutes by foot to Gooch Beach, elegant and airy, and has beautiful views of the ocean. The host is thoughtful, quick to respond, and accommodating. We hope to visit again!

Christmas Prelude

Our stay was incredible, with a very short drive to downtown Kennebunkport our Christmas Prelude experience was a breeze. The beachside location and the beautiful property (lighted Christmas tree included) only made our trip even more magical.

Amazing ocean view and exceptional host!

Our stay was extremely comfortable. The hosts are very responsive and the home is clean, well appointed with an amazing view of the ocean and beautiful Kennebunkport Maine. The owners allow pets, which was wonderful as we love to travel with our dog. Can’t say enough about how wonderful this home, and the hosts are! Will definitely be returning again.

Loved our stay!

My husband and I spent a long weekend at this home and loved it. The home itself is very clean and had everything we needed. The location is a dream. The front yard and upstairs balcony are the perfect spots to sit and start or end the day. The home is a very short drive or a beautiful walk to the shops and restaurants. Absolutely gorgeous view!

Comfy, quaint beach house across the street from the ocean with a full balcony and chairs that face the water-it was the perfect place to destress and bond with family! The place is no frills but extremely functional -large dining table for eating with family, functional kitchen with everything you need to cook, and comfy sofa. The house was very clean, and there were plenty of towels for the duration of our stay. Beautiful front yard, and plenty of parking. We had a wonderful time!

David and Kathy DeTeso currently reside in northern California, but they feel a deep attachment to Kennebunk Beach because David was born and raised just a couple miles from "The Beach House". They make an annual week-long trip to the house each summer with their four daughters to enjoy the beach and visit with friends and family. David and Kathy love to open up their home for rent by guests from all around North America for the remainder of the year. Many guests of The Beach House return year after year to carry on traditions with their family and loved ones. Thanks to their incredible friend and property manager who resides in the area, the house is maintained with excellent care.
