The outlook and proximity to the lake was amazing. The cottage was comfortable, warm, light and spacious. We had chilly nights so a couple more blankets would have been welcomed for sitting out by the fire. We really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect little family retreat with a beautiful view and clean private kid-friendly beach just steps from the cottage. Both kids and adults really enjoyed jumping off the dock. Foosball table and arcade machine were also a hit. Cottage was clean and everything we needed for a stress-free getaway was included. Checking in was easy and hosts were very responsive.

Property is a hidden gem in the middle of beautiful Muskoka. Great Lake front for a swim. Location made it easy to see the area. The home itself was very functional for 8 guests. Kitchen and seating areas were very accommodating. Would highly recommend. Hosts were great and always available for anything needed.

Great stay!

We had a great stay and the location has a fabulous waterfront. Sandy beach, warm water and the fire pit made for a the perfect setting to create memories. The cottage is charming, clean and the back balcony was the perfect spot for our morning coffee and breakfast, even when it rained! Thank you, Joseph!

Absolutely amazing

This property was everything we had hoped for. The lake was pretty quiet which was nice to be able to relax on the dock or on the porch throughout the day. The property was beautiful and we had an amazing time

Fun cottage

Convenient location. Our family enjoyed the lake view and many outdoor activities this cottage offers. Owners were quick to answer any questions we had. Thank you for a fun family get together.

My partner and two kids stayed here for a few days. Everything was as advertised. We ran into one or two issues but Alex was quick to respond and handled everything right away and very professionally. We definitely stay again and recommend!

Amazing family vacation!

Fabulous property for a large group of family. Activities for all ages. Clean, well taken care of, great owner communication. Fishing, lake swimming, canoeing, campfires, read on the dock or the deck, poker nights and just time to relax. 5 stars all around!

Family Get-A-Way

Property was exactly as pictured online. Wonderful water, dock was great for the kids to jump off. Canoe was available for a short ride up lake to a park. Concerns: No A/C. We stayed at the end of Aug and it was hot and muggy. Extremely dissapointed that we were not advised in advance that the A/C was broken. Requested a partial refudn and got no reply. Fans were provided however, we would not have booked a cottage with no A/C in summer. Top bunk was not usable as it was way too close to a ceiling fan. Unsafe.

Always happy for feedback however we did make sure not to list AC as an amenity within the listing and confirmed with you through phone calls and VRBO messaging along with offering to discuss your stay during and after your visit as well in response to your request. Also, we made sure to have our property manager purchase additional fans for your family and deliver them, so we're glad to see that was appreciated :) We're planning to get AC throughout the cottage come Spring/Summer 2022!

Fantastic Getaway!

This Muskoka cottage rental was truly a great experience! There were too many amazing things to list about it, but the main few that stood out were: The location was thoroughly cleaned inside/out and organized (including many outdoor activities provided like frisbee and canoe or hammock, electronic games - an arcade style also, many utensils/toiletries and towels), was on a beautiful waterfront with a fire and dock alongside if you like to fish or look at the stars, had a great amount of places (beds, inflatable beds, couches) to sleep, AMAZING and prompt communication with the property manager(s) who go above and beyond to make sure your stay was great, and also a guide book on tourist attractions/instructions/information needed for your stay that no other places provide. This rental was a great getaway and would be perfect for anyone young or old! Accompanying it were also an up and downstairs bathroom with good water pressure and thorough AC for the hot summer months. It was also a quiet spot with minimal noise. The hosts truly cared about their guests and I look forward to booking with them again next year. Thanks again!

Beautiful Area

First off, the surrounding area and the lake the cottage sits on is absolutely amazing. The lake is very busy with jet skis and lots of boaters. The fishing is decent as well and if you want great, Lake Joseph is only 10 mins down the road. The lot for the cottage is very large, with a nice flat front lawn that was great for family lawn games. The back yard has a gentle slope to the water with a very nicely set up firepit and a nice sandy beach area for the kids to swim. The dock was great to hook up our boat and fish off of with the kids. The cottage itself is an older converted double wide trailer. It was very clean upon our arrival and the checking in process was very easy to follow. The kitchen is quite small, don't plan on more than 2 people at once and even that is tight. There were receptacles in the kitchen that did not work, beside the stove, and there were a ton of tiny little ants all over the counter top where the sink was. The bedrooms were decent size and had plenty of sleeping area for a large family. The stairs to the basement are extremely narrow and steep. My parents (73 and 75) could not go down them, so they would have to go out the front door and down the slopped side yard to get to the water or anywhere in the backyard. The air conditioners in the house work great and keep it nice and cool and the dehumidifiers in the basement made it so it wasn't so stuffy. All in all it is a decent place, but not worth $5000/week

Budget-friendly Beachfront Getaway

My group had a good time staying at this property. The best parts were definitely the dock, outdoor fire pit, private beach, the canoe, and the water toys available for use. The cottage itself provides a rustic experience, which may not cater to all vacation go-ers; however you definitely get what you pay for - and if you're looking for an affordable place to stay that offers a private beach and plenty of water activities, this would be it. In terms of our opinions on how the cottage held up against its online listing: the ad listed three bathrooms but we were disappointed to only find two bathrooms. The sleeping arrangements were as listed; however upon arrival, the basement felt damp and had a particular odour - we would have appreciated if the cleaners/property manager had done a walk through of the basement prior to our arrival to ensure that humidity was at a minimum. The dampness and odour lessened once we settled into the cottage and emptied out the dehumidifiers ourselves. This may be something that avid cottage go-ers are used to experiencing but was a little off-putting to my group. The cottage was stocked with ample linens and towels. Due to COVID-19, we opted to bring our own but it isn't necessary. We also opted to do a run through the house upon arrival to sanitize and disinfect surfaces. While doing so, we noticed that certain areas weren't as clean as one expects when paying to stay in a property; for example, the upstairs refrigerator required further cleaning and there were cobwebs and dust gathering in corners and on the ceiling fans. Some of the ceiling lights and lamps did have blown out bulbs which was disappointing to see but not a big issue. It did seem like the cleaners do a quick surface clean of the property in between guests. Furthermore, as this is an older property in a small lakeside town, expect some power outages during inclement weather. There is a good-sized generator available for use on the property. There is unlimited wifi but it is a bit slow - again, small town life. Lastly, the cottage is fully secured by ADT, which is terrific for safety. Throughout our stay, the property owner was quick to respond to any and all issues/questions. Furthermore, the property manager was also quick to respond. Overall, we had a good stay and I'd recommend this property to those who want a lakeside trip on a tight budget. Don't expect too much from the cottage itself but definitely take advantage of the beach and lake!

Family Time

Great time with family! Cottage had everything you needed in kitchen and had extras to keep everyone entertained and busy enjoying themselves. A little warm in the evenings even with A/C .

Great getaway

We had a wonderful time at this cottage. We were pleasantly surprised to see how well equipped it was! The owners were great at communicating with us. The location was lovely. We’d love to see it in the summer! Thank you for a great stay!!

Beautiful lake and spacious cottage

The waterfront of this cottage is really nice. Great for swimming and sandy beach. The lake is also great for boating and fishing. The cottage was a good size with four bedrooms and two washrooms. There is only a small food land and home hardware nearby so it's important to bring what you need. We ran into a few issues with the place. The fridge was broken and wouldn't stay cold. Luckily they had a small fridge in the basement or we would have lost all of our food. The owner was very responsive and was able to get a new fridge installed within a day and a half. The other issue was that the cottage didn't have sufficient fans for the evening. The thermostat said it was over 30 degrees at night. The main bedroom ceiling fan was broken and the ac unit in the main area was also broken with the tower fan too. There were two small fans to use at night which was not enough for a family of 6. The property manager was not able to fix it and instead bought a mini tower fan as there were no other fans in midland. The nights were unbearably hot and it took all of us a long time to sleep as we were covered in sweat. Overall we had a good stay and would consider going back if the air conditioning issue was resolved.

Glad you had a great stay and unfortunately the AC was unavailable this year. We have taken notes and are looking at getting AC throughout the cottage in Spring/Summer 2022!
