This is a beautiful place to stay at the beach! This top floor Penthouse has gorgeous views from almost every room and easy keyless access. The private elevator allows easy unloading and unpacking., ample parking for 4 vehicles; 2 Guest Rooms have private doors to private deck overlooking the beach or relax on the screened in porch to enjoy beautiful sunsets over the canal. Spacious living room with Roku smart TV. (So dont forget your Netflix/Hulu/Prime passwords). The kitchen is well equipped with a bar seating for 4 plus kitchen bistro set. Beautiful separate dining room is set for 6. Two additional folding chairs provided in closet. Two Bedrooms have walk in closets; third bedroom has double closet. All bedrooms have luggage stands. Linens and Towels provided.
Enjoy all Carolina Beach has to offer, including free movie night at the Carolina Beach Lake Park on Sunday nights all summer; fireworks on Thursday nights(Summer), World Famous Britt's donuts, and the best restaurants including Michaels' Seafood Restaurant, Havana's, Deck House, Shuck'em Shack, and Nikki's Sushi. Boardwalk provides fun people watching, with several watering holes, arcade, carnival, and more in the summer months!! Farmer's Market every Saturday around the Lake! Storage shed has 6 beach chairs, beach bike, beach toys, etc. Outdoor water stand for rinsing sand off. Really enjoyed my stay at the Penthouse. Meghan was very friendly and we only had one problem while we were there and she responded right away and took care of the problem (a lose hurricane shutter).One area of improvement would be for nicer pots and pans and cooking utensils in the kitchen. All in all though it was a lovely place and the views of the ocean were great!!

Great location, walking distance to anything you need. I would call the middle room without balcony access the master. If kids stay in the 2 guests rooms they access the balcony/exit, not a closed in balcony. It worked for us but I’m sure some would prefer a different setup.

Great location

Very nice and clean upper floor of a three story beach house. Not even 2 minute walk to the beach and within walking distance to the boardwalk as well as a short drive to the pier. Would stay here again.

Enjoyable long weekend

The condo was incredibly clean, especially considering the location near the beach. Had everything we needed and wanted for a relaxing, enjoyable trip. The elevator was a little tricky, although nice to have for the less mobile of our group and for getting luggage and groceries in / out.

This is the best location. A block from the beach, view of the fishing pier and walking distance to Boardwalk and several wonderful restaurants. This was our 5th stay at the Penthouse and will definitely book again.

Oasis Away at Carolina Beach

LOCATION! safe area for walking, jogging, kids to be on their own too!, comfortable, easy to grocery store, gas, boardwalk, simple, family oriented, but for teens too! amenities were so helpful as well.

Great Location!!

My favorite place at Carolina Beach! This location is great, close to the beach and boardwalk etc. There are beach towels, chairs and umbrellas etc. Christine was great and helped us with any questions we had. We will be back!

Penthouse Vacation

We planned our first family vacation to the North Carolina shore. The penthouse checked all of our boxes for location, bedrooms, bathrooms, living space and price. Traveling with kids, teens and adults we needed a place that would keep all parties happy and comfortable for a week. Very pleased to say the penthouse passed with flying colors. Very easy beach access, short walks to many restaurants and the boardwalk. Christine was very easy to communicate with during the booking process. I really appreciated her simple directions to make check-in and check-out smooth. If you are traveling to Carolina Beach for a family vacation the penthouse should be at the top of your list!

Great spot on Carolina Beach

As if any review there are always pros and cons… Starting with the pros - The condo is in a great spot or Carolina beach and very close to the beach itself. The owner was very quick to reply and explained the rules / supplied all needed information in good advance. The condo itself was nice and clean and also had a nice porch with a view (after all it is the top floor!). And parking can accommodate two cars covered which was nice as well. A couple of cons which may or may not be important to some but it’s always worth mentioning for those considering this property - The master bedroom bed was extremely uncomfortable, and if you moved at all, you had loud sounds from the box spring. Additionally, (and I understand the reasoning) the pillows provided had a protectant cover on them which made a “crinkle” sound when moving around. It also made sleeping on them a little hotter than your typical pillow. I would recommend to bring your own. The only other con is regarding the elevator. While the description mentions an elevator in the property, expect to only use for loading/unloading. If you don’t follow the directions exactly, it leads to the elevator not working and a $500 fee to fix it. Based on all the warning stickers, you also need someone to assist who isn’t taking the elevator to close the outside door after the people riding properly close the according door. For most, this isn’t an issue, but we had elderly people who just had back and knee surgery so that lead to a little disappointment. Overall, I’m sure most folks would love this place! For me, a couple tweaks and it would be 5 stars.

Hi Mike, I'm so glad that you enjoyed your stay at the Penthouse! Yes, it does have awesome views, is very clean and nice; great parking, and so close to everything!! I appreciate your comments, as they always help for the next guest. I am so sorry you found the bed in master bedroom uncomfortable; as it is new, very expensive, great quality mattress. VRBO highly recommends using pillow and mattress protectors for cleanliness and sanitation concerns to provide benefits for all guests staying at the Penthouse. In regards to your elevator comments, I apologize for any misunderstanding concerning the usage and operation of the elevator. You did not incur any fee for the use of the elevator as implied in your comments. As noted in the elevator instruction video provided to all guests, no assistance is required for operating the elevator outside of the elevator. I wish you had reached out to me for clarification, also as noted in the video with any questions or concerns about using it during your stay. It is very common to have both internal and external door s to operate private elevators, as it does not operate like commercial elevators; however, no one needs to assist outside of the elevator. It is available to use during your entire stay, not just loading and unloading. Had you noted or included any information to me about special needs, I would have certainly reiterated the information. My mother is 87 and utilizes the elevator always during her entire stay so I certainly understand. Again, thanks for your comments and thanks for staying at the Penthouse!

Perfect vacation.

Loved staying in the penthouse. Great location: walking distance to the beach and boardwalk. Beautiful house and the property owner was very easy to get a hold of via messages and super accommodating. Highly reccomend.

Family time!

The Penthouse was perfect for our needs...three generations. Close to beach, views of water from front and back, plenty of spacious comfort, and an elevator to accommodate the grandparents. So many things within walking distance for the younger folks. Christina was a blessing to work with as we had to juggle our plans and she worked with us. It was great.

A great time was had by all!

The Penthouse was not only a wonderful place to stay but the location could not be beat. From our temporary home we were able to be at the beach and/or boardwalk in minutes. And when we were 'home' our views of the ocean and canal were perfect. We were even treated to mother nature's own fireworks while sitting out on the porch watching the lightening storm in the distance. There were six of us. Each pair had their own room and bathroom making things very easy on all of us. We played games, watched movies, made simple meals and snacks, and just plain enjoyed being with each other. In short, we loved the Penthouse and would certainly consider it again if we go back to Carolina Beach. Thank you to Christine for opening your place to us. The welcome bottle of wine was a sweet touch and very much appreciated. If you are considering time at Carolina Beach, a stay here would be a great choice.

Family vacation

We had a wonderful time! The place was very clean and spacious. It is walking distance to many restaurants and an easy one minute walk to the beach with plenty of space on the beach to put up a tent or parasol. The faucet to rinse off outside on the ground level was very convenient when coming back from the beach. Overall, the condo exceeded our expectations!

I purchased the condo at Carolina Beach because of my love of the beach. Before my husband died, we enjoyed going to Carolina Beach often. I bought the condo in his honor. I names it "Penthouse at the Beach" because of the movie, Pretty Woman. The Penthouse is on the top floor and it's the BEST! I fell in love with it instantly and wanted to share it with others.

Top floor, all one level with fabulous views of both the ocean and the canal. The best of both worlds. Sunrise in the mornings over the ocean and sunsets at night over the canal. It is spacious and has lots of areas for guests to be by themselves when they choose if they come with family or friends. It offers casual elegance at a great price. Two Bedrooms have private entrance to the back deck to enjoy awesome views any time of day. Kitchen is supplied with everything you could need from coffee to baking cookies! There are enough dishes so you don't have to be doing dishes after every meal. You can walk to many restaurants, the beach, the boardwalk, activities, etc. Storage shed has beach chairs, toys, boogie boards, wagon, and more. Enjoy!!!
