Great weekend getaway

We stayed at this property for a girls weekend! It was easy to find, clean, and had everything we needed. We cooked all of our meals and enjoyed some on the deck. No complaints!

Great Stay

Had a great stay at this house. It was close to everything we needed and was a nice place to land after a busy day. The house is very well appointed with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. We will be back if ever in the area again.

Peaceful Retreat with Stunning Scenery and Stargazing

Our family greatly enjoyed the property and the area. The house is very clean and spacious. It is very quiet and within driving distance to a lot of fun sites. At night light pollution is minimal and the stars are very visible. I was easily able to do astrophotography in the backyard.

Nice place with plenty of room

Enjoyed our stay this property. The house is well furnished and there are beautiful grounds. There is a big TV and the kitchen is very well stocked. The dining room was a good size for our group. One drawback was the water pressure in the kitchen was very poor.

Beautiful Property

We were in the area for UVA Graduation, so we didn’t get to spend as much time as we would have liked at the house. It is a perfect place for a trip focused on the wine country south of Charlottesville, perhaps with a side trip to a Cavalier game of any variety.

Great weekend

Beautiful property! House was well appointed and very clean. Check-in and out process was smooth and easy. Only suggestion to owners would be to reduce the amount of furniture in the home - trying to get groceries & luggage in & out was like navigating an obstacle course in every room.

Tranquility!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and spacious. We enjoyed the outside are even though it was too chilly to sit outside for long. The house was in an excellent location for visiting local wineries, breweries and distilleries. It was also easy to get into Charlottesville. We highly recommend this property.

Breath Taking

Beautiful home that was stocked with everything necessary. We toured the local wineries n breweries in the area and this was such a lovely place to come back to at the end our days and relax. Love the hammock in the back yard and the beautiful view of wildlife on the large deck out back. So roomy, and very clean. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!!

Beautiful, comfortable home!

We enjoyed our stay tremendously. The house was very clean and well supplied. Deborah was very communicative and responsive. Our group was made up of three couples visiting wineries for a birthday celebration. The house was perfect for us. We will be back!

Weekend Stay

We rented the house for a weekend. Very nice house, lovely views. Comfortable bed, comfortable house very easy to rent. Feels like a family home, well taken care of. The master bathroom shower door needs some attention, but other than that was great. We would definitely rent again. Thank you!

Would not change a thing

This was a perfect house for three friends gathering for a weekend of golf, hiking, birdwatching, breweries and wineries. The house was super clean and spacious. The back deck is wonderful and we enjoyed cooking out with the gas grill provided. Check in process was easy, everything we needed was available in the house. Highly recommend

Excellent Experience

If you want a peaceful getaway from everyday hustle and bustle to enjoy beautiful surroundings and each others company, this is THE place to stay. House was squeaky clean which is very important to us especially during covid. It is also pretty secluded with plenty of privacy. Deborah was very easy to communicate with and prompt with her responses. We loved this place and would highly recommend it. Don't think any further, go ahead and book it.

Excellent place but disappointed

Excellent place but disappointed garage wasn’t cleared marked not available or Wouldn’t have stayed there. Motorcycle trip in mountains and had to leave bikes out in all weather. 5th year travelling and 1st year with issue. I will take blame not asking enough questions

Yes, listing does not include garage in space available. If asked in advance that would have been explained. I did my best to offer alternative arrangements to protect bikes, but they were declined. Sorry for the disappointment but this is also our first time encountering this issue.

Great Space & Great View

We stayed here for a little moms getaway weekend and really enjoyed the space. It’s remote but not at all far away from things. The view on the back deck was a wonderful way to eat in the morning and unwind at night. We saw some fun wildlife and even some shooting stars. During the day the house was right near two great smaller wineries with more gorgeous views. We really enjoyed our trip. The house was clean and well appointed, and there was plenty of space for our group. Thanks for letting us stay!

Picturesque Views - Immaculate Home

We had the best time at this tranquil property. From the moment we pulled onto the street and up the driveway, we knew we made the right choice. Stunning views from the deck of the mountains and amazing sunsets. The stars fill the entire night time sky. Pure peacefulness and quiet. The location was absolutely ideal for unwinding and recharging. We came to town to ride a hot air balloon out of Charlottesville, and the home was perfectly situated only a short drive away from our meeting place. Inside the home was clean, spotless really. The house easily accommodated the five of us with room to spare. The beds were comfortable, the house was immaculately cleaned. We felt safe. I’ve already been recommending this home to my friends who saw the views from the porch. 500%. Will stay here again for a longer period of time.

Beautiful private views of mountains and countryside, yet only 3/4 mile from U.S. Rt 29. Local wineries, breweries, and distilleries are located as close as 2-4 miles from home. Uber is available, although may be limited at times. Travel to Lynchburg, Charlottesville or Waynesboro within 30 minutes or to Wintergreen Mountain in about 25 minutes. Away from the traffic found on Rt 151, yet close enough to enjoy all it and the rest of the area have to offer.
