Nice place, had a great time! However, we were unable to resolve a few small issues in the end. The host did not want to respond after the stay was over. I tried multiple times and no response.

The property was a dream! Only a few minutes to the borough of Ohiopyle, but the house is its own secluded getaway. And if the weather stops your outdoor adventures, your trip will still be fun. The house has so many details you can tell the owners took care with maintenance and upkeep. Communication with the host was simple and responsive, the listing was accurate to the experience. It was hard to leave and I’ll happily recommend this spot.

Unfortunately, this was not our best stay at a VRBO property. Communication with the host was prompt, but we had several issues with the property. There was a wasp infestation that took several days to resolve, although the host did have an exterminator out twice to treat the problem. We had to re-locate a couple of our guests to a hotel since one of the bedrooms was not usable due to the wasps. I did not find that the description of the property matched with the rental. There are so many stairs that I would not advise older guests to stay here. On our departure day, which was raining very hard, there were several roof leaks in the kitchen and one of the bedrooms. On a positive note, the host was fair in resolving our issues with a partial refund, which I was satisfied with.

Awesome property!

We rented this property for a bachelor party for a weekend in Ohio Pyle and it was the perfect spot! The owner was super responsive and accommodating as well. Highly recommend if you’re traveling to the area!

Family Gathering

40th getaway

Perfect space and setting for a 40th birthday celebration!! Close to where we went white water rafting and beautiful outdoor set up to hang out at after!

House was fun was a very cool design. The house was clean, but the biggest downfall is that the main bathroom has no privacy. The fire pit is nice, but the advertised trails were poorly kept and overgrown with poison ivy. Unfortunately the power had gone out due to a tornado. We contacted the host to see what our options were, because there was no running water or restrooms. The host said there’s nothing we can do and if we have to go to the bathroom, just drive into the town. We had to cut our stay short due to this, and we were forced to reach out to VRBO to resolve the conflict.

Family Ski Trip

What a fun place to stay! The house is so charming and unique. Definitely was a home away from home feel. The property is very well taken care of, very clean. The kitchen is very well equipped. Hoping to rebook for next year. Check in and check out was very easy. Book with confidence.

We stayed here for a family trip and it was a great property for us!The actual property was gorgeous and loved being in nature and hanging out by the fire pit each night.The house was large and well set-up for multiple families. The kitchen was well stocked and extra credit for coffee filters, pods, and sugars/creamers for use! The towels and sheets/pillows/comforters were clearly new or very well maintained and smelled great!The house is eclectic and interesting. Goat had great communication and provided a fabulous stay!

Three generation gathering

This large and interesting house absorbed us, our three sons and their families comfortably. In all, we were 13 people from 5-74 plus two well behaved dogs. Jay was a great communicator and made our stay very pleasant. Strongly recommend. Thanks again Jay.

Nice Place, A Bit Dated

Wonderful owner and great location. Some unusual aspects of the house are ones to just be ready for: heaters in each room pre-set that cannot be changed, spaces that are somewhat difficult to get to for small children sleeping arrangements (e.g. ladders to the third floor), and some patience needed with the kitchen (e.g. oven has a sizable gap when closed that delays cooking times).

Wedding in the woods

What a great stay. We had our wedding up at the property. Due to the Covid this place was perfect for a small gathering. Everyone couldn't stop talking about how beautiful it was. The most private and peaceful setting. The space was amazing for photos with plenty of space and a great back deck surrounded by mature trees. Jay was very kind accommodating and very responsive to everything we needed. Can not say enough good things about the entire experience.

Shield lock retreat

We were five dudes, all with wives and kids at home, that know each other through F3, and with the wisdom of the Q-source, decided to be intentional about locking shields through the 3Ps. We stayed 3 nights—rafted, worked out, cooked and ate, and shared about our lives. Property was great for all this, with big common space, comfortable sleeping, a well outfitted kitchen, fire pit, and great grounds. Jay was a really good host anytime we had a question, and the weekend was one none of us will soon forget!

Paradise in the woods!

We had a great time. Party of 7. Two of which were twn year old boys. All of us had a blast and there was a spot for everyone! The place was very clean even extra linens and blankets because life happens. Most places i hesitate to lay down on the beds as is but this place was so clean comfy and when u hit the bed felt clean and at home! Kids loved the "secret bedroom" . So many spaces to choose fepending on mood and where everyone is. Beautiful property!! Easy access. House was very neat. Loved the rock walls in the bedrooms with the glass. So cool. Thanks for an experience. Blessings!

Phenomenal Host and Place

The region was hit by really bad weather, power outages, extremely cold weather and snow. The host and I were texting and calling back and forth as the weather deteriorated. He was extremely nice, responsive, and accommodating. Because of infrastructural widespread failures outside of our control, we ultimately had to cancel the reservation. He could not have been nicer. He even had proactively made alternate arrangements for our large family group at another location accessible through the weather in the event we had already begun our trip. We cannot wait to stay at this amazing house. We were in it a few months prior to our reservation and it is a beautiful, clean, large, and fun house to stay in. There are great common areas and also places to escape the chaos that comes with larger family gatherings. It is such a unique place!
