Experience home away from home at Mark's Retreat. Featuring four bedrooms and three bathrooms, this ranch-style lodge home is perfectly suited for 11 guests. The kitchen features spacious vaulted ceilings, ample dining space, a large flat screen TV, direct access to the back yard or wrap-around deck, and a beautiful gas fireplace to create a cozy ambiance during any time of day. Opening up to the living room with beautiful wood & glass doors, you'll find plenty of comfortable seating and room to watch the 40" flat screen mounted above the stone, gas fireplace. Situated directly adjacent to the living room are two charming bedrooms featuring queen beds, attached via a "jack and jill" bathroom with doors opening to the living room and both bedrooms. As you continue down the hallway with its contemporary recessed lighting and new laminate wood flooring, you will find the master suite featuring a king bed and two windows to let morning or afternoon sun stream into the room. Relax in your down time with the flat screen wall mounted TV, and have easy access to an attached bathroom. Last but not least is a fourth bedroom featuring a bunk bed, and beautiful wood armoire with TV. Awaiting you outside is a beautiful wrap-around deck, with natural rock accents built in and plenty of seating space for everyone to relax. Set against the back drop of a cozy back yard, beautifully landscaped with open rock firepit, is an enclosed porch attached to the deck that features plenty of seating and a gas fireplace to keep everyone warm on a cool night. This property is dog friendly.* Additional flat fee will be charged per pet, if necessary, after receiving your signed Rental Agreement. The property has a fenced front yard perfect for your four-legged friends, or younger members of your group who may want to explore but need a safe space to do so. Great space for family to spread out, both inside and outside. The adults and kids enjoyed the hot tub and it was nice to be in a separate space. The three bathrooms were a plus for sure, as well as the laundry room. Everyone enjoyed the fireplace, but a couple of extra rocking chairs would be great.

Everything was outlined properly and checkout was very easy. There was enough room for everyone and the fenced in yard was perfect! The internet goes out if too many people are on it, but thatā€™s expected in a remote location so it wasnā€™t a big deal. Would stay here again!

The home was beautiful, location was perfect. Wish the fence went all the way around the property so the dog had more room to roam. There were some things that were left to be desired. There was a broken handle for a drawer in the master bedroom. Power in the house is questionable. The lights flickered in every room of the house, luckily none of us had epilepsy. A few covers are missing from light switches. The fridge power went out, and we lost a lot of food. The oven went out too, and we had to order more food instead of making the food we already purchased. The dining room table was completely sticky all throughout, which was disgusting. Ants were all over the kitchen counter. There were many lightbulbs missing in the hottub area. I'm kind of disappointed in Mark's retreat. I know all of these things could've been avoided. Expected better for the price we paid.

Weekend Getaway

We had a lovely time at Markā€™s Retreat. Love the location and there was room for everyone. Making sā€™mores at the fire pit was definitely a highlight. This was our second time staying here and we would stay here again.

Beautiful house, but needs some updates

House was beautiful inside and very spacious! Had plenty of room to accommodate our group! Loved the huge fire pit and appreciated the hot tub ( even though we didn't get a chance to use it ). Response time with problems was excellent! Even on a Saturday! Our coffee pot wasnt working at all, and when we messaged through the VRBO app we had someone over to get us a new one within 30 minutes! Only critiques are the cabinets in the kitchen and the beds. The cabinets were sticky and very hard to open. Having a doorknob on each would make it much easier. The mattresses were also very lumpy and soft. The king bed mattress had large indentations Indicating that it was severely worn out. They were not the most comfortable. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come here again!

BEAUTIFUL SNOWY RETREAT

We had a houseful. 4 Adults, 4 Kids and 4 Dogs. Having a fenced in yard was a game changer being able to let them run without leashes. Had a legit 10" winter snow while there and made everything beautiful! Being able to have a fire in the enormous firepit was great and the hot tub area was awesome for morning coffee and 20 degree evenings and it being inside a covered area was awesome and allowed us to spend tons of time there. There was plenty of space for everyone to hang out together or by themselves in a separate room. I wish there had been more cleaning supplies other than a broom as we would have done a better job with being able to mop up dirty areas but the house was pretty well stocked with everything we needed. Only ended up needed to buy a cutting board and some filters for the coffee pot but it had everything else we needed or a relaxing weekend. We had a really great time and would definitely revisit this location if invited back. Thanks Marks Retreat!

This was a great house. My only complaint is no screen on the fireplace which was too tempting for my 2 year old granddaughter. Had to move the love seat in front of it. Mouse poop in the kitchen.

Great get away. The house has plenty of room and great up to date amenities. We loved the beautiful backyard and fire pit area. The covered hot tub was a great feature on a cold rainy day. Great stay!!

Super home in a great location - Highly recommend

My wife, I, and several friends rented the property for a 3 night stay. The property was clean, in good condition, and was very spacious. TVs in every room, about 5 miles from downtow Ohiopyle, and a great outdoor space. The rooms are all very large. There is a covered deck with hot tub and chairs to sit and relax if it rains, a large table on the uncovered deck, and a fire pit. Everyone in our group was very pleased with the hime and would rent this property for another stay. Highly enjoyed the home and our stay.

Great home and location

The check in and check out process was very easy and thorough. The home is about 6-7 miles from downtown Ohiopyle. Beautiful home. Was well maintained and was extremely clean when we arrived. Plenty of room to spread out, tvs everywhere, and a great outside space with a covered deck with hot tub, open deck area with picnic table and table and chairs. Fire pit and charcoal grill. Really a great place to stay. Would highly recommend.
