Haven in South Haven

Location, Location, Location. Our house in South Haven is in a perfect location. It is in a quieter North Beach neighborhood, but just a quick walk (5 -10 minutes) to the beach or downtown. We are now providing a golf cart to help you get to the beach. It has a beach parking sticker on it so you do not have to pay for parking.
The house is a 2 story home with 5 bedrooms, and 2 full baths. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs and 2 bedrooms downstairs. Upstairs you have a master bedroom with a king size bed and a walk-in closet. The closet is large enough that it could double as nursery along with your belongings (easily fits a crib or pack and play) for those of you with infants. The master also has a nice deck for morning coffee or afternoon sun. There is a second bedroom with a queen size bed and a third smaller bedroom with a set of bunk beds for the kids. A full bath and a laundry area finish out the upstairs.
On the main floor there is a nice size living room /dining area and a recently updated kitchen. The main level continues with a full bath and two bedrooms. One bedroom has a full size bed with a twin trundle. The second bedroom has a full size futon. All bedrooms have closets/storage space for personal belongings.
The front of the house has a covered porch with rocking chairs to relax, visit, and watch neighborhood activity. In back is a deck across the rear of the house , a built in charcoal grill and a gas grill, and yard space for a cookout and some fun and games.
We absolutely love the friendly neighborhood and the ease of walking or riding bicycles everywhere.
Park Ave. is one street towards the bridge from North Shore. You can even see Lake Michigan from the master bedroom deck. Packard Park, Dyckman Park, and Oak Park are literally around the corner. The quiet location is great when you want wind down after a day on the beach, or after shopping downtown, and it's even quiet enough to call it an early night if you choose to do so.
The neighbors on both sides of the house and across the street are wonderful and friendly people so don"t hesitate to say "hi" and also please be respectful of their property.

We have remodeled the downstairs bathroom and have added a complimentary electric golf cart and bicycles for our guests to use.

Found a home away from home!

This place had everything someone could ask for during a vacation! Had a chance to speak with Steve, the owner, and he couldn’t be a more welcoming and kind host to our family! If you can book this property, do it ASAP!

Great Location

2 families enjoyed a week long stay. The bikes and golf cart were a nice feature to take into town. Everything was in walking distance, we parked the cars and never drove them the rest of the week.

Enjoyed our weekend stay. Clean, walking distance close to everything including the beach. Well stocked. Very comfy beds. Owner kept in touch and was easily accessible if needed (don’t need to contact them because we were very satisfied). Can’t wait to return.

South Haven- North Shore side

South Haven is my family's favorite to unwind from work, school, other!! Steve was great to work with & we enjoyed their cottage near the beach! Plan on returning in 2023.

This house was even better than the listing! Stocked with everything you’d need, super spacious, clean, and really well maintained property. Location is top notch & the golf cart was an awesome way to get around town. Host was very attentive & quick to respond. We will definitely be back!!

Great location AND host!!!

My family and I travel to South Haven every summer and have been for many years. This was probably one of our top 3 places we've stayed!!!! Steve was very helpful and came within an hour when we had difficulty with the code to get in to the front door. Having the bikes, golf cart, beach toys at the house was an added bonus :) Home was very clean, beds comfortable, and the neighborhood is lovely. We already inquired with Steve about renting next summer! Thanks Steve for everything!

Best house and host!

We’ve stayed in many rentals over the years, but this house was the best! The hosts obviously put great consideration into making sure the house was well stocked with everything, super clean, and comfortable. We had a family of nine (4 adults, 5 kids) and we had enough room. Use of the golf cart with the beach sticker was a highlight! Quiet location just moments from everything.

Great location and amenities

Really enjoyed our stay as the location was less than 3 minute walk to closest beach and ~12 minute walk to town. North beach is short drive or 10 minute walk. This can’t be understated how convenient it is to beaches. Had a/c upstairs to make sure rooms were cool for those that need them. Comfortable beds and nice amenities like bikes and nice grill and plenty of items in the kitchen. Not a ton of lounging space, but we didn’t need it given the location. Plenty of parking. Would stay again there for sure!

Another great stay!

This was my family's second time staying here, and once again, it did not disappoint. Upon arrival, the house was spotless and in great condition. The owner was very responsive and helpful leading up to and during our stay. On the first day in the evening, we found the golf cart had a flat tire. He showed up the very next morning and fixed it so we could continue to use it throughout the week. If I could give one recommendation for improvement it would be to add in thicker blinds or maybe install some black out curtains. The blinds that are installed keep people from looking in, but they don't much for keeping a room dark. We hope to be back someday and would definitely stay here again!

Most amazing vacation week

We chose South Haven for our summer vacation because of its close proximity to where one of our children live. We had no knowledge of the area as we usually travel south and felt it would be a “good enough” choice. It was sooo much more than that. We fell in love. With the house, the neighborhood, the beach, the town…everything. The house was perfect for our family of 5 (3 “adult” children). So clean and had everything we needed and more. The kitchen was well stocked with necessary utensils and gadgets for cooking and the grocery store (Meijer) was only a mile away. The short, easy walk to the beach was taken many times over the week. We did a mix of driving and walking into town and both were easy and the walk was particularly enjoyable. The use of the golf cart to take to the beach or into town if we were carrying things was a nice touch and much appreciated. We drove to trailheads and berry farms that were less than 10 minutes away. We used the bikes to tour around one day, which was fun but proved to me how out of shape i am (hello hills😬) The whole week was really thoroughly enjoyable. We have done house rentals many times and honestly this host was top notch. Steve was always available, answered questions quickly. He even offered some information on the activities of the Blueberry Festival that was taking place during our stay. We could not have asked for a better experience and we WILL be back.

Beautiful Property w/ Great Location

We had a short weekend stay at this property to celebrate a family birthday. There were 5 adults and 4 kids in our group and we all fit perfectly. Everyone had their own bed, and we really enjoyed the common space as well. The location couldn't be better just a quick walk to the beach or town. Steve, the owner, was very responsive and easy to work with. We will definitely be back, and for a much longer trip next time!

Grab this place if it is available!!

Great location !!! Easy walk to several beaches which were less crowded then North beach and also a quick walk to downtown. Added bonus was the golf cart making everything accessible. The house was clean and comfortable with all the amenities. Plenty of beds all comfortable. Owner Steve very accommodating and responsive to calls. Only change would be to make this a Friday to Friday rental so you can have a weekend. Give this home 5 stars!!!

Perfect location and wonderful host

My family (husband and our three young adult “kids”), plus my mom, dad and aunt all stayed for a week at this property recently. It was very clean, had everything we needed, including use of the golf cart, which was very nice and handy for hauling gear to/from the beach, and it was in the perfect location with easy access to the beaches and downtown. The living room area was a little small when we were all using it and our 6’6” boys didn’t fit very well jn the bunk bed room, but other than that, it was a great place to stay, it was nice having five bedrooms and everyone had a bed to sleep in. Steve was very nice to work with and his communication was excellent. We had a great time staying there.

Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful experience. The property was in great condition and had a wide selection of kitchen essentials. The laundry and sink area was perfect for after the beach. Having the golf cart was entertainment for the kids, car-saving, and life-saving for the adults for beach trips. This was a last minute booking and I'm so glad we found it and South Haven!

This property is clean, spacious, and in a great location for the beach. We are a group of four women who have traveled to South Haven for 25+ years. This house has a great kitchen, lots of pots and pans all clean and in good working order. The kitchen also had good prep areas and counter space, we used their mini-dishwasher, it was great. Their outdoor grill was also clean and worked perfectly (a rarity in rentals). The bedrooms are generous and had plenty of storage available. Even the front porch rockers were super comfortable. Perfect for families too. Steve was quick to respond to any questions and sent all the information we needed before arrival. Check in was a breeze. We highly recommend this location Thank you Steve!

Amazing home in a wonderful place!

We had a wonderful visit to South Haven and loved staying at this property. The home was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed during our stay. We loved how we didn’t need to use our car during our visit and how easy it was to walk to multiple beaches, coffee shops, and restaurants. The home is on a quiet street and we spent a lot of time enjoying the front porch. Beautiful home in a great location!

Wonderful home and location in South Haven!

I am shocked that I was able to book this adorable and comfortable home so late in the summer? (Lucky for me they had a cancelation.) House has everything you need both inside and out. The golf cart with a beach pass is a fantastic bonus. Even without it, their are several beaches within a short walk or bike ride (bikes provided), and the neighborhood is lovely. Perfect place to rest from our busy lives. We spent time on the front porch, puzzles and board games on a stormy day and grilled out in the back. The owners are super friendly, helpful and accessible. We would definitely stay here again, if you don't beat us to it!

Best House in SoHa

My family loved this house! Very clean and communicating with the owner was super easy. They had extra toys and books for the kids which was great. The kitchen was really well-stocked and we very much enjoyed the golf cart.

My wife and I live in Kalamazoo, Mi. Only a short drive from South Haven. We have many friends in to local area and plan on spending quite a bit of time there. We also have a boat and frequently stay on the boat in a near by slip.

This is our second home and we will be staying here when ever it is not rented. We love the location, the neighborhood, the neighbors and the town itself! We hope our renters treat the home the same way.

We can walk to the beach in just a couple minutes, or downtown. It is also a quiet neighborhood so you can take a nap or make it an early night if you had too much sun. You can do what ever want to make your vacation relaxing.
Newly added is on site is 50cc scooter rental for our guests only.
