Modern Artist's House near the Eiffel Tower

This spacious loft is a unique home for your stay in Paris. Nestled inside a private courtyard, away from street noises, it is airy, bathed in light, spread across 3 levels with an undeniable character. The top floor bedroom is also every writer or artist’s dream of Paris.

The neighborhood is very safe, wealthy with lots of shops, cafés and restaurants. You are just a short walk (10min) from the Eiffel tower and have all the key attractions of central Paris on your doorstep.

We have been hosts for eight years now. We truly enjoy it and we hope you will have a great stay.

Just like a home, you will find on the :

GROUND FLOOR
- A double-height living room
- A dining room with a large table that can easily accommodate all the guests.
- A fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, oven, toaster, espresso machine, drip coffee maker, kettle, glassware, and so on...
- A bathroom and toilet with a bathtub, washer dryer, hairdryers, ironing board

FIRST FLOOR
- An en-suite bedroom with a double bed (140x200) and a bathroom
- A bedroom with a double bed (140x200) and a study desk
- An extra toilet

TOP FLOOR
- A master bedroom with a king-size bed (180x200) and a convertible double bed (140x200) along with a study desk

EXTRA BEDDING
- In the ground floor living room there is a mezzanine with a single bed (90x200). It is a cool place to sleep but please bear in mind that this is not a bedroom as such.

FAMILIES AND CHILDREN
Families with children are also more than welcome! Upon request, we have a baby cot with a mattress, a high chair, foam mats, and children's books & toys.

INTERNET
Internet is a high speed fiber-optic connection and the WiFi is available throughout the whole property. The TV is a smart TV full 4kHD with Netlfix, PrimeVideo installed.

CLOSE NEIGHBORHOOD
Within one minute walks from the house, you'll find three bakeries, two supermarkets, three french cafe/restaurants, an Italian pizza restaurant for takeaway, a wine shop, a 24/7 pharmacy, two banks and one metro stop!

We highly recommend staying at this home away from home in Paris! Emmanuel was outstanding in making us feel welcome and answering all our questions before and during our stay! We had an extraordinary reunion of friends (two families who just moved to Paris from Toulon and Texas) and the kitchen and dining table provided everything we needed for this wonderful visit! The live plants and beautiful aquarium brought life and health to this artistic home. We loved all the recommendations for restaurants (dined twice in Cafe du Commerce - ask for Didier) and everything else you need to know in Paris! We walked all over from this wonderful Paris home!

What an awesome location. Easy walk to the Eiffel Tower and all kinds of restaurants. Metro stations all around to get you to other landmarks in the city.There were seven of us travelling together and this really met our needs for sleeping spaces and room to relax in the living/dining space.Kitchen and main bathroom are more than adequate and everything seems recently updated. The owner was quick to reply to questions via email and offer up suggestions. Very helpful before and during our stay.

What a great house. First it was spotless. Second it is in the greatest location , minutes from two subways/metro that go EVERYWHERE you need to go. Central Paris is no more than20 minutes away. There is everything you need in the neighborhood, bakery, butchers, great restaurants, shopping. Next time in Paris we hope to stay there again. The host could not have been nicer.

Lovely space for family reunions!

We met up with my brother’s family, with 5 cousins total (ages 3 to 10) and 4 adults. All the kids were able to sleep in the two big beds on the top floor and each adult couple got their own bedroom on the second floor. We were there during a heat wave across Europe so it was uncomfortably warm without air conditioning (mid 80s throughout the house), but there were plenty of fans to help keep the air moving. The kitchen, dining, and living spaces were perfect for our group of 9, and we really enjoyed the local suggestions for pizza, gelato, and parks nearby. Convenient to the metro for getting around town, and walkable to the Eiffel Tower for evening viewing! I loved the adorable post it note by the window on the top floor to see the tiny Eiffel Tower view. It was a wonderful experience and we really appreciated the host’s responsiveness and hospitality! Thank you for providing such a cozy home base for our Paris adventures!

Wonderful Stay!

Fantastic stay- great communication throughout the booking and checking-in process. Location is central to so many great restaurants/shops/sites. The apartment itself is lovely- bright with lots of natural light flowing in; also set in a private alley so virtually no outside noise. Beautiful space, and wouldn't want to stay anywhere else if I have the fortune of finding myself in Paris again.

Cozy Stay in Paris

Our family had a lovely stay here this Spring. Walkable to so many cafés and shops, and not to mention the view of the Eiffel Tower. The home is comfortable, equipped with amenities, and accessible. Emmanuel is a lovely host!

Lovely house, great location

We were a family group of 6 adults and the house suited us perfectly. It is a lovely house, very well equipped with everything you need. The location is ideal for Paris sightseeing. You can walk to the Eiffel Tower. For everything else the Metro is just round the corner. It is in a nice residential area with plenty of cafés and shops.

Very wonderful house

The house was everything as described. We loved having 2 bathrooms and very fun art. The kitchen was really nice. The fish tank was so soothing after a hectic day of sightseeing. They have a brand new washer/dryer that we used several times. The house is not free standing and sound does travel through the walls but we only heard the neighbor's children occasionally. We had a super stay and would stay there again if we ever got the chance. Thanks to the hosts for letting us rent their great house.

Great vrbo location. Great host

The property was as described and just as pictured. Communication with the host was great as we had questions about leaving our luggage the last day, and the host replied immediately. He allowed us to keep our bags at the front and keep a key until later that day when we headed to the airport. Thank you again for that. The check in instructions were easy to follow and we had no issues getting in. There is a detailed book about the house, recommendations, and everything we needed to know about staying there. The fish tank was great too. The house was perfect as it gave our family 4 adults and 5 teens plenty of space to relax after exploring Paris. We were able to grab take out on some evenings and ate comfortably at the dining table. It was also great for breakfast as there are fresh bakeries close by and grocery stores. The washer/dryer machine (2 in 1) allowed us to get laundry done as well. The location is great with 3 metro lines nearby and we used all 3 to explore the city. It is also within 15-20 minutes walking to the base of the Eifle tower. We enjoyed viewing the Eifle Tower just about every night. There are plenty of good options nearby as well. Checkout was smooth as well. I definitely recommend this place for a family of 6+. If I am lucky to visit again and this place is available, I would definitely stay again. The great reviews and pictures convinced us to book, and we are happy we did. Thank you again

Charming Paris home

Emmanuel’s home is amazingly comfortable, equipped with everything a guest might need for a temporary home in Paris. Myself, my son, his wife & their preteen children could not have felt more welcomed right down to a vase of flowers! The kitchen is fully equipped for anything from snacking to cooking, the beds are comfortable, the pictures on the site accurately portray the property. Clothes washing was made easy. We loved coming back to a quiet home with plenty of room to spread out within a quiet residential area after the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas. There are groceries, patisseries, cafes, pharmacies, etc. all within short walks. Loved visiting Marche Grenelle which occurs on Wednesday and Sunday morning, also within a short walk—many fresh food items, souvenirs, clothing. Three or four Metro stops within easy reach made getting everywhere easy. Emmanuel is a wonderful and prompt communicator. If any of us return to Paris, we would be eager to stay again if the property were available. You can’t go wrong!

Immerse yourself in a Paris suburb

This provided us - an adult party of four - just what we needed. I have to say that my queen bed had the best mattress I have ever slept on. The kitchen contained everything we needed and we cooked many of our meals. Nearby Carrefours market provided for our grocery needs. The only cautionary things are as follows. The stairs to and from the upstairs bedrooms - second and third floor - are quite and persons with mobility issues would have serious problems. the master bedroom is on the third floor, but the nearest toilet is on the second floor. The master bathroom is located on the first floor. This makes for an adventure if you have to get up in the night. The second floor shower is clean, but the step down out of it is abrupt and you will have to be careful - no grab bar. Also, if you are light sleepers, bring ear plugs as this space opens to a courtyard and it was not unusual for neighbors to be up at 11 p.m. and even to 2! That said, I like to sleep with open window and the noise was greatly reduced by closing the window. My wife and I are in our early seventies, so you can see we are old fuddies. Emmanuel was very pleasant to work with. The refrigerator had a foul odor and I suspect a prior tenant let something go too long. We cleaned it, without result. I am sure the host will rectify that and I don’t hold it against him. The new washing machine was also a dryer. It took a while to figure out, but it worked fine. Just expect 2-3 hrs. Wash clothes overnight.

The perfect place for our family's trip to Paris!

We loved this house! We had everything we needed for our 5 day stay. The house is spacious with plenty of room for us and our 2 large teenage boys. The top bedroom has lots of light from windows and skylights, also which can be opened for fresh air. We didn't do any cooking, but it looked like the kitchen was well appointed with supplies. The location couldn't be beat- we were blocks away from the local farmer's market, the subway, multiple bakeries and bistros, and shopping. Emmanuel was accessible by email as soon as we made the reservation, and we had great communication before and throughout our stay. Instructions for our arrival and stay were thoughtful and clear. We highly recommend staying at this wonderful home, and we hope to return soon!

Best location!

Wonderfully charming artist’s home. We loved the location and ease of accessing the city. Only draw back was the heat, and fans only, no AC which is very common. However, you can’t control the weather! Thank you for a great stay!

So close to the Eiffel tower!

With the Eiffel tower being such a large part of our draw to Paris, this location was superb! Main floor has a great kitchen / Dining Room / Living room common area. Good restaurants nearby. Amazing ice cream about a 5-minute walk. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent Parisian stay

We could not have been happier with our stay at rue Fondary. The owner, Emmanuel, was quick to reply to email questions about the house and the neighborhood, and his son met us at the house upon our arrival and gave us a thorough tour and explanations. They both speak English. We were a couple staying with another couple and their 2 children, aged 3 and 7 years of age. The owner provided a high chair as well as a small crib-like bed. Best of all, there were mats and many toys to play with, including a small tent in which the kids could hide! It was ideal. The kids enjoyed feeding the fish in the very large aquarium as well. As for the adults, we couldn't have been happier: there is a mud room upon entering, with a large closet. The living room was large and comfortable, and the dining room could comfortably seat 8 people. There is a full bathroom/shower/bath on the ground floor, with a washer/dryer. The kitchen was large and fully equipped. On the second floor, there is a separate toilet off of the stairwell, and 2 bedrooms, one with its own shower/sink. There is a large bedroom on the top floor, with skylights. There is also a loft-like space overlooking the living room with a small bed. It's not really suitable for sleeping, but the kids enjoyed going up there. The house is bathed in light, and is lush with tall house plants. It's also quiet and we slept well at night. There is a booklet with easily understood instructions in English for the wifi, feeding the fish, how the windows work, dishwasher, washer/dryer, etc... and where the grocery stores are (four within easy walking distance), and cafe/restaurant recommendations. There are two boulangeries at each end of the street with many more in the neighborhood. There are three metro stops (La Motte Picquet-Grenelle, Avenue Emile Zola, and rue du Commerce) within a 5 minute walk.. The Eiffel Tower is only a 15/20 minute walk away. The Rue du Commerce is a lively commercial street, right around the corner from the house, and the outdoor market "Marche Grenelle" (market) by the La Motte Picquet Grenelle Metro station is a delight on Wednesday and Sunday mornings. Not to be missed. All in all, we were extremely happy with our experience and with our interactions with Emmanuel and his son. Those who want to stay in a real neighborhood in Paris, away from the tourist areas, yet still easily accessible to them, will find much happiness here.

Perfect Paris Home for a Family Trip

This home was exactly what our family needed for our weeklong stay in Paris. My older parents and our young kids and the rest of the family fit perfectly and comfortably. The washer with included dryer, the full home with all the necessities, and upstairs view from the windows were notable favorites for our group. The location was also exactly what we wanted- a safe, low key family neighborhood, with a quick walk to everything you need: metro, grocery, food (pizza two doors down, delish Ethiopian, and also Korean! Yum!), shopping, and market. I wish we could’ve stayed longer!! We’ll have to come back. Many thanks to Emmanuel!

Excellent stay!

We had a wonderful 9 night stay at this property over New Years. The owner was very thoughtful, understanding and excellent communicators, they respond very fast to any messages and were very helpful. The property is very clean, comfortable and practical with all modern amenities for our family of 2 adults and 4 children aged 7-14. The area is excellent, not touristy yet very Parisian with shops and services, restaurants in rue de Commerce nearby, and walking distance to 2 very convenient Metro stops. Would definitely stay here again next time!
