One of a kind experience! Riverfront cottage with a historic covered bridge that is private and gated within a few hundred feet of CLOUDMONT SKI SLOPES. What more could you ask for? Located near all of Mentone's attractions. Relax in the cottage that was redesigned for couples or an intimate space for two in mind - Nestled atop Lookout Mountain and overlooking the river. You can have your morning coffee on the expansive wrap around deck over looking the water, relax by a crackling fire under a blanket of bright stars, or lay listening to the rippling music of the river. A perfect getaway to enjoy each other and the soothing beauty of nature. Here's your chance to swim and frolic in the river steps away from the front door.

Rates per night is based on two adults only, master bedroom and bath.
Additional fee for adding second bedroom and bath (4 adults maximum with 2 bedrooms and baths).

We only stayed one night of four that were booked. We were extremely cold and one of the rules was not to change settings. Getting in and out of the property (driveway and walkway) was dangerous.

Unplug

Great place to unplug. No wifi. One bar of ATT if you stand on the deck with right arm out and left leg bent :). There is satelitte TV if you absolutely need it. Was great just sitting on the deck and listening to the water run. House is in great condition. Amenities great. Master bedroom windows do face East so if not an early riser bring a mask. I'm up at 5-6am usually so not an issue. Got to see early morning wildlife walking by. The 5 stars is not grade inflation !!!

The Get-a-away

During the day, we were busy visiting and enjoying the nearby sights and activities. But it was a blessing to come back to such a cozy, inviting cabin and the relaxing rustling creek each night.

Wonderful Stay

It was a fabulous weekend stay. The true place to go and unplug and take in the quiet and river view. Will definitely be back again as this was our second stay. Tony is great to work with!

Beautiful secluded place

The cabin was lovely and the creek was delightful. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was perfectly suited for what we needed. One thing to note is that I had zero cell phone service for the duration of our trip. This was in no way the fault of the owner but I wish I had done more research into the area when I was preparing to travel. The Market in town kindly let us use their Wi-Fi.

Perfect stay.

Elegant and sophisticated eclectic blend of beautiful furniture and accessories. Quiet and secluded and so peaceful. The best scenery around! Too many species of nursery fish to list. The were so curious as we climbed over the rocks in this creek side paradise. The covered bridge was our view. I felt like I was living in a tree house. I’ve never felt such happiness as this home and property make me feel. The cost is really only for one bedroom which was perfect for us! Really hated to leave. Booking for fall now!

Wonderful Anniversary!!

The cabin was awesome and sitting in the treetops with the sound of the water below will wash away any worries you may be carrying. My husband and I were there to celebrate our anniversary and it was exactly what we needed. Tony is so nice and kind and great to work with and takes care of any needs you may have. I must also give a shout out to the house keeper because her work was exceptional. We met several people in the town and everyone is very friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have. Loved the restaurants and the beauty of the mountains are breath taking. We wished we could buy a house and move here so we definitely will return. If you want peace come to this cabin and stay you will leave renewed. I give this rental a thousand stars! Cherie and Doug

Secluded getaway

Wonderful spot! Exactly as pictured. Be a little careful on the driveway if you don’t have 4wd. Will hopefully stay here again! Was exactly what my wife and I were looking for.

Peaceful, serene, beautiful cottage nestled in woods

This cottage was gorgeous. Nestled in the mountains. Disconnect from the world and peaceful. The host, Tony, was extremely helpful. Loved it.

Amazing view

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The river off the back was breathtaking and quiet. Did a little walking around the trials. The house was just perfect for our family of 4. It was convenient to town and even to Chattanooga. We will diffently stay again.

Peaceful Retreat

Peaceful getaway with only the sounds of the river bubbling and leaves rustling. This property was perfect for a much needed respite. It is both in the middle of no where but also a short drive to the small town of Mentone. The house is beautifully furnished and incredibly well kept. We were there in the spring so the adjacent ski resort and girls camp were empty, but imagine the private property with gate gives you quite a bit of privacy even when they are occupied. The River access and covered bridge are as advertised and were a wonderful bonus to the property. The cabin description was accurate and these were not issues for us, but renters should be aware that there is no cell service or WiFi. A landline is available for emergencies. The kitchen is small with basic supplies (no dishwasher) but large family meals would be a challenge. Part of the cabin will be locked off if you are not paying the charge for additional occupancy. The road in is gravel with a few washed out places. Just drive carefully. Overall, we loved the property and our stay. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect little getaway

This is a charming little cabin, beautifully decorated, in a quiet and serene surrounding. Bring your groceries and you’ll have everything you need for a peaceful getaway. The walk down to the cabin from the parking area is a little steep and gravelly, which may be a challenge for those with mobility or balance issues. The living space was spotless and the sliding doors almost give you the feeling that you’re up in the trees. We enjoyed watching the birds from the spacious deck, and the short walk down to the river was quite enjoyable. A very special place, indeed. Would definitely stay again.

Mentone River Rock rental

Wonderful, secluded and peaceful but close proximity to the state park areas. Incline/decline to parking area. Cabin is decorated beautifully and very comfortable. Basic kitchen. Microwave under counter and hard to reach. Overall stay was still a 5.
