This is our fourth year doing VRBO and we are looking forward to meeting you. The house is special for many reasons; read our reviews and hear from others. If privacy and outdoor charm are important to you; this is the place for you! We built this home and take pride in the details, down to the art work in each of the 4 bedrooms. The master bedroom has french doors that open to a deck that is a perfect for taking in coffee at sunrise. The Caribou Room, Goat Room, and Whale room have wonderful views and are set apart from the Master Bedroom. Our reviews rate our private setting, evenings around the fire pit and wide porches as our best amenities. Book your Alaskan get-away and see what the good life in Alaska has to offer.

Beautiful and peaceful wrapped in a truly Alaskan ambiance. Sit on a covered front porch and watch moose waltz across the park-like lawn. More than 2 1/2 acres of peaceful, quiet solitude. You are on your own on the mid-hillside area of Anchorage literally within 10 minutes of all the hiking, shopping and fine dining you or your guests can enjoy. Secluded backyard fire pit patio and huge wraparound front porch. Watch the chickens meander around and grab fresh eggs every morning. Enjoy the wildlife mounted inside including brown bear, caribou, king salmon and Alaskan mountain goat. World-class hiking, mountain biking and running trails across the street at Hilltop recreation area.

The house and host were amazing! There was a slight miscommunication when arriving and things were not quite ready but didnā€™t delay check in too much. Fire pit location and house layout made it easy for families to enjoy while the young ones went to bed. After a long day of traveling, a basketball hoop and a kid friendly room assisted in the transition and made bed time easier. Would recommend for anyone traveling to Anchorage and conveniently located close to the zoo.

Perfect location to access all Anchorage has to offer. Great neighborhood and a cool house with lots of personal touches to look at and enjoy. Yard is great for kids to play, areas to sit outside and enjoy coffee or drinks in the evening.We stayed here with another family and it easily accommodated our large group for a few nights. The owner is great to communicate with and very neighborly. Felt very homey and I would absolutely stay again!

The house is quite big with a giant kitchen. The back yard has a wonderful fire pit with great views of the woods. On the other side, the house is full of personal pictures, whoā€™s not the normal VRBO standard.

Our two night stay here was a perfect way to top off our trip to Alaska. Itā€™s a really beautiful property that is very quiet and secluded, while also being close to stores/restaurants. It is also a great base for exploring a lot of areas around Anchorage. The space is very comfortable and was perfect for our family of five (3 teens). Wish we could have stayed longer! The owners are so friendly & helpful, and quick to respond. The moose that visited the first night was an added bonus! We hope to make it back here someday soon. I highly recommend this stay!

Amazing place to stay!

This property was an amazing place to stay durning our vacation to Anchorage! The host were so accommodating for us and also gave us many recommendations to make our trip the best! The house definitely became our home away from home! It was so cozy and tucked away just enough where you had your own space but still close to town! We definitely would stay here again and would recommend this place to anyone traveling here!

The perfect hub

This home was a perfect hub for our family vacation. The neighborhood is beautiful and the property was very private, yet close to everything. We traveled up and down the coast visiting Homer, Seward, Denali, and so much more. We drove and drove, and came home to a comfortable home each night. While this home is in anchorage, it felt like it was deep in the wild of Alaska. We had an encounter with a momma brown bear and her cubs, which didnā€™t bode well for the chickens that were on-site, but it was an experience we will never forget. The owners are amazing and consistently communicate. This rental truly felt like home away from home. You will not be disappointed staying here. I hope we can return for another visit.

Great home

My family from NC met more family from Fairbanks,AK here for a week together. Great location in a nice neighborhood but you are secluded and donā€™t even see the neighbors. Kim was so sweet and hospitable, she asked what we needed and was happy to get it. She took the time to remember the little details. Had fresh eggs every morning for breakfast. House is beautiful and well appointed. Lots of room to spread out and be comfortable. I highly recommend.

Incredible home and grounds - couldnā€™t have asked for more

We enjoyed this rental so much that we almost forgot we were vacationing to tour Alaska, and not just this lovely home. Very easy check in, communication with owners, well equipped and very clean. We had a warm welcome from the chickens and my daughter fell in love with the coop and gardens. Canā€™t wait to come back, thank you for the memories.

Amazing trip to Alaska.

We had an amazing time staying at this place, the house is beautiful and really evoked the feeling of being in a cabin in the woods. It was a beautiful experience to wake up, feed the chickens and start bonfires. The owners were exceptional with all their help and their devotion to make our experience as best as possible. I would absolutely recommend everyone that has the opportunity to stay here to do so it is absolutely worth it.

Home away from home

It's not a rental, it's a home, and it feels that way. Owner communicates well and willing to work with you to help and resolve any issues. Full working kitchen with all needed items. My daughter loved the chickens.....visited them multiple times a day, ha. 5th place we stayed at during our week in Alaska and hubby said this was hands down the best. Thanks for hosting, we appreciate y'all!

Fantastic place

Amazing place, great for large family to use as a base in Anchorage to explore surrounding area. The outside area with large wrap around deck are a perfect spot for a peaceful coffee morning. Enjoyed our week here and Kim and Jim were very easy to work with.

I canā€™t say enough wonderful things about the property and especially the hosts! Kim is an absolute pleasure to work with and have us so many helpful recommendations. We had a large group of 9 and friends that came over to hang out for a bit and there was so much space for everyone to relax comfortably. The house itself is gorgeous and the location is so peaceful. I wish we would stay longer! Everything youā€™d need to feel at home was available. If you have a large party and want a great place to stay, definitely book this place. You will not regret it!

Fantastic home for a memorable family vacation!

We loved this home and location. It was perfect for our family of nine. It is spacious, clean, wonderfully decorated, and well stocked. The children enjoyed playing basketball and the toys that were there for them to play with. Our grandchildren LOVED the chickens! Oh the memories we took home with us. It was lovely meeting Kim! We highly recommend staying here. We are grateful for their great hospitality.

Great home!!

Our family of 9 truly enjoyed the house. It was well stocked, clean, Kim was easy to reach and of course, the chickens! The grandkids enjoyed feeding the chickens and looking for fresh raspberries. It stopped raining so we could have a fire one night. You felt you were out in the country but everything you needed was just a short drive away. Only regret was that we were only able to stay 2 nights. We will definitely stay again! Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to stay in your lovely house. The mountain goats were a big hit also.
