NEW! Welcome to the Lazy Fish Lodge! This Cabin is in the Beautiful Brainerd Lakes Area! With 4 bedrooms and the ability to accommodate 12 people-a Queen room and a Double Bunk room on the lower level, the (King )Master Bedroom and Queen with a Twin room upstairs + a pull out couch in the living room. 3 bathrooms, 2 full (one with a large walk in tile shower) and 1 half. Features like a large kitchen with a farmhouse table to seat 8 and center island for 4, a wood burning fire place, fast WIFI and large lakeside deck-The Lazy Fish Lodge has plenty of room both inside and out to enjoy! A beautiful south facing living room looking out at North Long Lake and the over 100 feet of private sandy shoreline. Bring your own boat, jet ski, kayak or canoe and enjoy this recreational lake-tie them up on the new dock throughout your stay.

Ideally located in the Brainerd lakes area- you are minutes from Grandview Lodge and it’s many amenities, several golf courses, casual and fine dining, the Shops of Nisswa and several boat rentals.

We enjoyed our stay, the low water was nice because we had young kids, but was difficult for the boat and for the older kids. Loved the backyard set up and fire pit. Cabin had some updated areas, but accommodated our group of 12 easily

The home offered a lot of space for our 6 adults and two children. Great kitchen/dining area! Outdoors offered lots of seating around the fire pit and picnic table. Water is very shallow way past the dock. This was great for our 4 year old granddaughter. The four bedrooms offered a variety of sleeping arrangements for our family. The two bedrooms upstairs were cooled with only a vent in the hallway so they got pretty warm, however portable fans were available in each room. The two 3/4 baths did not have exhaust fans. The main floor bath did have a window you could open. There were plenty of dishes, glasses, silverware, other utensils, pots, pans, etc. Lots of bath and beach towels and wash clothes, however limited hand towels were available. Appreciated having laundry available at the cabin, access to cleaning supplies, leftover storage containers, paper goods, and more. Thanks so much for sharing your cabin. We had a great week!

Right on the water!

House was right on the lake. Everyone remakred on incredible it was to be so close to the lake. Amazing views of the sunrise, sunset, and stars. House was very well equipped- lacked for nothing. When you look at the map, you'll see houses next to this one, but when you stay here you will barely notice them. Wish we would have stayed longer! Great location to get away, but still close enough to go to neighboring towns for restaurants, stores, and attractions.

Before reserving do some checking.

I would not reserve this property without finding out if the area had received adequate rainfall to restore the lake level. The depth of the water well out into the lake from the beach was about 12"-18". Our boat had to be anchored out in the lake several feet off of the end of the dock and then we had to walk into shore. Two of our grandsons sustained chigger bites.

Great house/location

Nice cabin with a level lot steps from the lake. Well supplied with plenty of room. The outdoor deck/patio is great and righ by the water.

Great Cabin

The cabin was very nice. There was enough room to comfortably fit our whole group. There is a nice sandy beach and the water was shallow enough for kids of all ages to enjoy.

2021 Retreat

We really liked the location of being so close to the water. The deck and fireplace was great to sit around. We had plenty of room in the kitchen for our family of 11. Lounge chair in living room was very comfortable. All in all was great trip and would stay again. Water was very low due to lack of rain. Gayle Gayle

We loved the ice that was cleared off for skating and play. Plenty of comfortable beds. Excellent living room/TV area to accommodate a large group.

Family Week

The arrangement of the house is perfect for 6 adults and 5 kids. Two of our boys slept on the sofas and said they were very comfortable. The front yard is perfect for young children. The water is shallow out quite far so it is very safe for kids! The beds are the best with great cotton sheets. I rated the cleaning as a four because the kitchen could have been cleaner. The rest of the house was clean. Perfect location!

Beautiful lake view

Grandkids really enjoyed swimming in the lake. Shallow enough we didn’t have to worry, but not deep enough to dock our boat.

Overall review

Cabin was well equipped in the kitchen and bathrooms. Nice yard for playing bags fire pit and deck with plenty of chairs. Nice docK with swimming area for grandkids. 3or 4 large spider webs on ceiling and floor in kitchen and moldy smell in living room was not good. With no AC the upstairs bedrooms were extremely hot all night. 2 of my kids and grandkids went home a day early because of the heat in the bedrooms which never did cool off. Needs AC BADLY

Nice cabin on a quiet lake

Took 3 families on a lake vacation and had a great time. Took me a day to remember what lake cabins are like and that I wasn’t in a 4 star hotel but after that all was great. Owners are very responsive. There’s a window AC unit in one room but not the rest of the house which surprised us but we didn’t think to ask to be fair. Inside is clean and the beds are comfortable. Took one star off As some basic maintenance would help the overall feel but all the essentials were there and we had a great time. Internet was fast and responsive.

Great place to stay in Brainerd Lakes area

We had a great few days at the Lazy Fish Lodge. It was spacious with plenty of comfy beds (and three bathrooms) to accommodate a family gathering. The cabin is stocked with absolutely everything you could need ... and then some. We boated, fished, swam (the shallow water is great for kids), had campfires and relaxed. There are also plenty of great restaurants and shopping close by. A great place to have some fun in the sun!

Great weekend getaway

The cabin exceeded our expectations for our girls weekend! We had 11 ladies staying here and it was perfect for everything we needed. The cabin had all the supplies you can imagine to make the stay comfortable -- the yard, deck and lake access were great for hanging out and relaxing. The hosts were quick to communicate and easy to work with!

Great for family gatherings!

Our extended family met here to celebrate winter birthdays and the house worked really well for us. We were there during the Polar Vortex and enjoyed hanging out by the fireplace! The dining table fit all 10 of us easily, so that was great. There are plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, so everyone had their own space. It has a nice mix of gathering spaces and rooms to get away if you want to! The cousins enjoyed the bunkbed room where they could all be together. It's nice that there is a bunk in one of the upstairs bedrooms as well. It was very peaceful when we were there and we enjoyed the view of the lake in the front room. It's been beautifully updated! We will rent it again and look forward to coming back when we can enjoy the lake and deck in warmer weather!
