Sunset Vista Cottage - On North Long Lake & The Paul Bunyan Trail in Merrifield

Come enjoy the sunsets on North Long Lake! Enjoy a morning stroll, bike ride, or snowmobile on the Paul Bunyan Trail just out the front door of our updated 2 bedroom 2 bath cottage. Work remotely from Merrifield with our High Speed WiFi (300 mbps), your boss said it’s ok….or enjoy the lake ALL DAY with complementary kayaks and SUP in the summer, launch your boat just down the road and park it at the dock. Additional water toys and sand toys are in the shed for your family to enjoy. Relax at the lake with the family or just a couple of friends with your favorite beverage and take in the Minnesota sunsets while listening to the amazing loons. The night wouldn’t be right if you didn’t wrap it up with a crackling fire and s’mores!

On the main level Sunset Vista Cottage features a large updated kitchen with granite and new appliances and all the cooking utensils you’ll need; a bar top height table for two with a view in the kitchen; a large oak dining table for the crew; a wine fridge; Kuerig coffee maker; washer and dryer; master bedroom with tv and en suite bath; walk in closet; a pack n play for your little one; air conditioning; and a gas grill.

In the walkout basement we have a second bedroom (queen bed); a full bath; 65” inch flat screen with Netflix included; WiFi; and a pullout sleeper sofa along with a bunk bed for the kids for extra sleeping space; a record player with some old and new vinyl tucked away in the bedroom closet; and plenty of games for the kids.

Down by the lake we have a fire pit and plenty of chairs, a picnic table, and of course a hammock for an afternoon nap. We have a nice little sand beach for the kids to play in and to just hang out and catch some rays. We have two kayaks and a SUP along with a shed full of beach toys and some fishing gear you are free to use. We have a nice shallow shore line which is great for the kiddos swimming, however if the water drops a little bit, docking the boat can be a challenge. In 2023 we are going to add a few sections of dock which should help with this. Fishing is pretty good here. You’ll find all the panfish you need for the kids to catch ‘em all day long about 100 yards off the dock. Rumor has it there is some good bass and walleye fishing too.. ;-)
