Grey Gulle is a large beachfront cottage that offers a natural and private setting for you and your family to enjoy. Linens and cleaning are included.
This beach house of over 3,000 square feet is a respite get-away where you will leave all of your stress behind. In this expansive, well-appointed 5 bedroom (9 beds), 3.5 bath Broadkill Beach home, you will feel the allure of the beach as soon as you walk in the door. Multi-level decks surround the home with views of the bay from practically every area. You will enjoy the Lewes Lighthouses which mark the entry to the Atlantic Ocean and the lights of Lewes and Cape May in the evening. Watch the Lewes-Cape May Ferry come and go and enjoy sprawling views of the water and beach from nearly every room. The home features an open floor plan, with a family room, game/puzzle area and a sitting room for your family to enjoy. The home offers two master suites, a large dining area and a screened-in outside porch with a ping pong table. The well-stocked kitchen features an island and two sinks. This is a rare, simply breathtaking home where you will let all of your cares drift away. The home is nestled among trees and shrubs which grow naturally on the dunes and provide privacy. The home exhibits tasteful décor which reminds its guests that it is a surf-style beach cottage in the truest sense. Please note all bedrooms are on the second level. FRIDAY TO FRIDAY RENTAL. MAXIMUM OF 12 OCCUPANTS (CHILDREN INCLUDED). NO ANIMALS DUE TO FAMILY HEALTH CONCERNS.

Excellent vacation home!

We just had a wonderful week here with our family! This house is beautiful, well stocked, and clean. There was plenty of room for everyone, and we loved the quietness of the area. The beach and bay were calm and fun for the young kids to play, and the path to the beach from the house was a very easy walk. Dave was an excellent communicator and very responsive before and during our trip. We cooked several meals at the home, and we had more than enough to make delicious meals in the kitchen and with the charcoal grill outside. Sitting in the rocking chairs with the bay breeze was a personal favorite of our trip! Highly recommend this beautiful vacation home !

Great Stay

A beautiful beach home steps from the Atlantic ocean. The property is impeccable maintained and completely furnished. So often the pictures of a property on the internet hide the reality of the home, not so here. Wonderful views of the ocean and beautiful early morning sunrises. The Beach with its gentle waves Is perfect for small children. While the property is located on the bay, the vistas from the home and the beach look just like you're on the ocean. David, the homeowner was terrific. He was very responsive, and helpful giving us guidance about both the property and the community.

Another great stay

This is our second year staying at Grey Gulle and we really enjoyed it again this year! The house is beautiful, well-stocked, and perfect for a large group. You can't beat the proximity to the beach. The owner is very easy to communicate with. The beach is really perfect for young kids because the waves are very gentle. They also loved playing with all of the sand toys. We had a great trip and would definitely go back again!

Great stay!

We had a really wonderful stay at Grey Gulle! The house is very spacious and comfortable. It looks just like the pictures. The beach is absolutely beautiful and not crowded at all. The water is warm and the waves are very gentle and great for small children. The only thing to be aware of is that if the wind is coming from a certain direction, there could be biting flies at the beach. The flies were an issue 1 day out of the 7 we were there, and it was worth the trade off for the empty beach. We had 5 adults and 4 kids staying and we had plenty of space for everyone. We especially liked that we could all sit around the table and on the couches together. The kids' ages range from 9 to 1, and they all had a blast. The older kids loved the ping pong table, and the younger kids loved all of the beach toys available. They even had a pack 'n play and a high chair available for the 1 year old. Communication with the host before our trip was very helpful and check-in was very easy. We found check out to be fairly easy as well. It was a great experience and we wouldn't hesitate to go back again!

A really nice time

The house was great and gave us the platform upon which to enjoy a wonderful family gathering. Plenty of beds, plenty of bathrooms, plenty of space, plenty of privacy, plenty of fun. Yes, every attraction is at least 15 minutes away, but... so are all the people! This place is quiet, the beach is basically all yours, the water was calm with virtually no undertow... a really nice place.

Great House with Private Beach

We were very pleased with the Grey Gulle beach house as it had a private beach and the house was spacious with a great layout to easily accommodate our two families. Dave and Ann have created an enjoyable beach getaway with everything you need. The bedrooms were wonderfully set-up on the upper level with decks to see amazing views of the beach and lovely sunsets. The house is very well equipped and is nicely decorated with rooms with themes which was very charming. We had a wonderful time during our July 2022 vacation. The beach was easily accessible and there were very few people allowing us to spread out and play games. And speaking of games, there are dozens of board games and puzzles as well as lots of books in the house. We hoped to visit again in the future.

3rd Year at Grey Gull

5 stars all around. The owner is super attentive and available for any concerns or questions. Grey Gull is comfortably furnished, lots of places to spread out. The beach is perfect for the little ones. Bonfires on the beach and the ping pong table are two highlights.

Wonderful Week!

Our family of 12 enjoyed a wonderful week at Broadkill Beach. The house was PERFECT—spacious, clean, very well-appointed, and steps to the private beach. Additionally, Rehoboth and Lewes are a very short drive for dining and family activities. Dave is an outstanding host, paying attention to every detail and quickly responding to any questions we had before arrival. I recommend this house to those looking for a great place for a family vacation! Thanks again, Dave, for sharing your beautiful beach home!

Our second year at Grey Gull and we were not disappointed. The owner Dave is super responsive and truly wants his guests to have a great experience. Broadkill beach is a hidden gem.

Great time at the Grey Gulle!

What a relaxing week we had at the grey gulle. It was perfect for the 6 adults and 3 kids we had, lots of room to spread out and a virtually empty beach. My kids loved swimming in the small waves and I could relax on the beach not being worried about dangerous rip tides. Rehboth is only 30 min away (if you pick a time without traffic) and Lewes is quaint and only 20 minutes away. Some flies for sure with the nature preserve nearby, but not too bad. There were a lot of jellyfish in the water somedays, and my son got stung one day- not sure if this is common for the bay or just our bad luck though! Communication and details from Dave were excellent. My favorite part might have been the beautiful master and top deck though. Thanks for a great week!

Phenomenal Beach House!!

Our family had a wonderful family vacation at Grey Gulle! The owners, Dave and Ann, were very responsive and accommodating. The house is exceptionally well-equipped, particularly the kitchen - you won't need to bring anything if you plan to cook! Tons of dishes, glassware, pots/pans, dish towels, serving spoons, platters, cookie sheets, blenders, food processor, stand-up mixer, a Keurig and a drip coffee maker, crockpots (x2), cutting boards, knives, wine glasses, martini glasses, and fun coffee cups galore. We cooked every single day and had some amazing meals! Photos listed here are true to life and there is plenty of room to spread out. We were amazed at how many board games, books, decks of cards, chess set, puzzles, etc., that were stored in the cabinets. The beds were super comfy and there was also plenty of hot water for showers, etc. There is an enclosed outdoor shower which was very nice after coming off the beach. The screened in porch was plenty big enough for our crew to play ping pong or just sit around talking. The path from the house to the beach was probably less than 200 yards, however, that sand is hot, so be sure to wear shoes! The beach is completely private and it seemed we had it all to ourselves. A lot of the homes kept their sand chairs, etc., down on the beach, so we did as well and nothing was bothered. It was great not to have to carry to/from the house each day! The waves are perfect for small children and our 3-year-old granddaughter had no trouble playing for hours. I can't say enough about the fabulous beach! There are 2 refrigerators, which was fantastic for our family, which included 5 grandchildren from ages 3-18. There is a dishwasher and 2 kitchen sinks (!!!). We cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay, how pleasant it was communicating with the owner and how gorgeous this house is. We hope to be back next summer. Angie & Mark Cramer

Great for families.

I cant say enough about this property and the owner, Dave. Super attentive to any question or problem. The pictures in the listing dont do this house justice. The rooms are large, beautifully decorated and the screened in porch with the ping pong table was a huge hit. There were 9 of us and not once did we feel crowded. Multiple decks offer many options for gathering or sneaking away to a quiet spot. We would love to go back next year.

Vacation at the Bay

House was lovely, view from upstairs bed room great. Bedrooms and bathrooms good. We were promised easy walk to beach for Mom in ninetys, not so accurate. Also list to clean before departing seemed excessive, vacuum, make beds, sweep wash out refrigerator, run dish washer, take out all trash

When we were looking for a beach house, I wanted a small beach cottage, like I stayed in growing up. A small, beachy smelling (be that good or bad) little place, with only one requirement, that it be near the water for surfing. My better half, on the other hand, just wanted a place near the water that would hold our family (which continues to grow). After a lengthy search, we happened upon Grey Gulle. It was perfect for both of us (without the "beachy smell"). We have tried to make the home one that, when someone enters, they immediately feel the presence of being at the beach. It is a work in progress, but we continue to work to make the home the ultimate beach experience.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Grey Gulle sits on the dunes of Broadkill Beach. Broadkill Beach is connected to the Prime Hook Natural Wildlife Refuge which includes the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal. You can put your kayak in the canal and paddle all the way to Rehoboth. There are plenty of areas for fishing, crabbing and watching unique and unusual water fowl. The house sits on an expansive beach, which extends for miles. Grey Gulle sits at the mouth of the Delaware Bay near the junction with the ocean. The waves are perfect for children, the water invites paddle boarding, kayaking and boating. The beach neighborhood is suited for bike riding and taking long walks. The Broadkill Store is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day and features homemade donuts and other home cooked food. Rentals of beach equipment is also available at the store. Grey Gulle is located just four miles from The Rookery Golf Club. Broadkill Beach is just north of Lewes and Rehoboth, Delaware. Shopping outlets and restaurants abound in those areas.
