This renovated, and lovingly restored 200 year old property was once part of the Chateau de Marigny, just a stones throw away surrounded by its moat ans still lived in by private owners.
The owners have used their 17 years of experience in restoring old buildings to provide you with a spacious and comfortable setting to enjoy your holiday. Giving you all the conveniences of modern living whilst preciously guarding the heart and character of this gorgeous building with its arched windows and pigeon towers.
When you arrive at, 'La Ferme de la Lochere,' you will immediately notice the vast doors of which there are three. Sobre o anfitrião
Anfitrião: Katherine Frelon is an Chef, Author and Founder of La Ferme de la Lochere
Since before I can remember I dreamt of creating beautiful homes and inviting others to enjoy them and to share my love of France. Having spent my childhood years on holidays in the South, taking in the taste, smell and colours of all the produce in the markets, (but to young to enjoy the wine!), it influenced my decision to leave England when I was just 22 and set out on an adventure that I would not come back from. 'Le Four a Pain,' was my first project. Building and restoring, ‘Le Four a Pain,’ whetted my appetite for repeating similar projects in different areas of France, and finally come to rest in Burgundy where I had been working as a successful Chef for the American/French Barging Company. I founded ‘La Ferme de la Lochere,’ a place where finally i could mix home and xpanding family with running the new business of Specialised Gastronomic Vacations, private Gites, Bed & Breakfast & Wedding Planner. I still commute from the local train station on the TGV to Lille and then Lille to London on Eurostar regularly as I have a very successful company as a chef for private clients. It's been such a success that I have been included in the BBC Good Food magazine, provided Special Occasion Recipes in the newspapers, and was paramount in setting up the ready made farm meals for my local farm shop, who have since gone on to win many awards & been featured in Country Living. I have recently appeared on televison touring Chablis market and am releasing my 1st Cookery book 'Shop. Cook. Eat' in the Fall of 2014
