This oceanfront condo at San Luis Resort is a great getaway, with a lovely view of the ocean, easy beach access, and plenty of amenities to feel comfortable. It has a flatscreen cable TV, a kitchenette for whipping up snacks, and a balcony to sit and watch the sunset in the evening.

What's nearby:

Located only a block from the Galveston Convention Center and directly across from the Seawall, there is a special crosswalk to allows direct access to the beach. Pick up some souvenirs one of the many shops, and treat yourself to one of the nearby restaurants. You can also enjoy a spa, fitness center, and restaurant at the resort.

Very clean !! We stay here every year ! But this was the first time staying in the rooms. Loved it. The 15th floor had great views. Will be staying again

Great location & amenities

We booked this rental for a five nights while we attended a dance competition at the Galveston Convention Center. It was very conveniently located, with a large parking lot that was always easy to find a spot. (Free parking is a novelty in Galveston.) The room is clean, with very comfortable beds & a beautiful view of the beach. The best part of the rental is the access to the San Luis resort pool!

Home away from home!

We spent 3 nights and it was absolutely perfect! Comfy beds, nice larger fridge, perfect location, nice patio furniture, hotel amenities were chefs kiss, and it was just the perfect place for our Girls (moms) Trip! Icing on the cake was that it was VERY reasonably priced :)

Excellent getaway

We love the location. Upon arrival William met us to walk us through the room and parking access. He also told us about other units that were available. With such a nice stay we have booked another and longer stay for next month. We will continue to return with such a nice product and service.

Clean & Beautiful

This property has an AMAZING Oceanview. It was the perfect size for my husband, myself and my 8 year old daughter. We were in town for a gymnastics competition. This property was walking distance to several nice restaurants and very close to the Convention center where competition was taking place. We only experienced issues at check in but overall it was a wonderful stay. Will definitely book here again.

View is great

Wanted to give 5 stars but between finding hair in the shower and in the bed and on the pillow right before I went to bed, was not great. I was able to talk to a help service via text about the shower and they did offer to come back and clean it . The hair in the bed was found after this initial communication. Enjoyed the view and bed was comfortable . Check in and out was easy and hotel staff was super helpful in holding bags until we could get into our room.

Two day get away.

The location is great and the amenities are great. Only having one key fob was pretty inconvenient because you all have to be together all the time. Otherwise you cant get back into the elevators. The beds are a bit firm and there was only one spoon in the whole condo. The view is outstanding and we love the heated pool. The wind noise coming in both from sliding door and front door was mildly annoying but we would still stay here again as it is more affordable than the hotel side.

The room was dirty

The view was amazing. Customer service was good. The cleanliness of the room was really bad, I have pics. I don’t like giving bad reviews but this was unacceptable. We had to go get stuff to clean just so we could use the restroom. Only could sleep in one bed the other one had a blood stain and hair. We ended up leaving. We communicated with customer service right when we walked into the door. Nothing was done about it.

Perfect location for beach

We enjoyed our stay at the San Luis Condo for our son’s 16th birthday. The view was spectacular and the ability to use the amenities of the resort were a huge bonus! There are a few things we noticed that would have made the stay more comfortable: some luggage racks for suitcases & some hooks in the bathroom for towels & wet items. There were 4 of us and there was no place to put our suitcases to access them during our stay except on the floor. Emptying our luggage was really not an option because there was a total of 5 small drawers to use. Second, there was not one hook in the bathroom or condo that we could use to hold wet towels, swim suits or toiletry bags. The counter space in the bathroom was sufficient but not nearly big enough to hold 4 toiletry bags. Also, the only other thing that we noticed that needs to be addressed is the drainage of the bathtub. It was very slow to drain. By the time you finish taking a shower the water in tub was up to your ankles. I’m not sure if this is just normal for this property but this was definitely not normal for us. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. We realized that this particular property was just a tad too small for 2 adults & 2 teenagers. The property manger was very quick to respond every time we had a question. We will definitely be renting another one of their properties. Thank you for making this weekend memorable!

JOB WELL DONE, I’m Recharged!!

From reservation to confirmation. From check in to check out this Vacasa went above and beyond. Seamless. For a simple get-a-way of two 50 something ladies of Central Texas needing a moment to catch our breath from daily life responsibilites, this booking at the St Luis Ocean Cove #1537 met our endless high expectation checklists. THE VIEW from the room was spectacular. Lucky for us, Galveston’s waters were the clearest I’ve seen in my many years of traveling to or living on the Tx Gulf Coast. We only stayed 2 nights but location wise, we were near everything we needed or craved from options of restaurant tastes, local shopping quirks and excursion adventures. The beach outside our 15th floor balcony, a quick walk a way. 100% of our needs were met by the St Luis Resort whose staff were impeccable, welcoming, witty and professional. The Resort itself raised the bar of excellence. I felt as if I was taking a nibble of some LuxLife and treated respectfully. Grin. 😁 Parking: Big lot behind resort (garage was closed for construction and I was well informed in advance) was easy peasy and well lit. The security in and around the grounds was sound. I felt safe the entire stay. The room was comfy and smartly decorated leaving nothing to say but “Job Well Done”. The pictures and description on the website are true and accurate. It is a room w/ 2 beds not a suite. Lil fridge - Mini Micro - KCup Coffee Pot. Don’t expect less but don’t expect more. There were some positive well thought out surprises. Upon arrival, the room was White Glove clean and never once did I have to “clean it my standards” before using. A big thank you for letting my “break time” be a PURE break. Did I mention the bed? As a traveler, the “will I be able to sleep here?” factor is the clutch in my overnight reviews. AMEN!! I have never had such a comfortable mattress embrace these wretched bones or soundly recharge my essence outside of my own bed at home. Was it the mattress, room, location or the complete package? I slept so well, I might have to question my bed at home. Haha! Bottom line, y’all deserve this high praise. I had a better than good time on this get-a-way! Thank you for a fantastic 5STAR stay St Luis Ocean Cove #1537. Heads Up Next time, 1536&1537 so I can share this experience with my loved ones and definitely stay longer! ~ Revived in South Austin

Relaxing little getaway!

My best friend and I visited for a quick little getaway from Houston. The condo was perfect! It was clean and well appointed. The amenities of the San Luis are amazing! We laid out by the pool and hung out in the hot tub. The directions to get into the property were very clear and the property manager was wonderful to work with!

Cheaper than the hotel

We booked this Verbo instead of renting the hotel for prom weekend. Same excellent access to the San Luis amenities without the super high price of the hotel on prom weekend. The only downside was only one key fob to enter the property when the teenager goes a different direction than the parents.

Wonderful and clean!

This condo is small but clean, well equipped, and nicely taken card of! A step up from a normal hotel and the view is amazing! The hotel itself was beautiful and the pool was wonderful! We will definitely book this condo again!

Great weekend at Galveston

There are so many things to do at the property for all ages and the beach is right across the street. I highly recommend this for a great family weekend

Great place to stay and comfortable room

We loved having access to the resort. The pool and restaurants were great. So nice to just cross the street for a quick beach visit. The only bummer was that the crosswalk right in front of the resort was closed off.

Instructions

Instructions on how to access the key card and wristbands was not up to date. Also, the contact name/info was not either, I texted the number on the app and I was told "I no longer work there"......was annoying to go back and forth checking my email, vrbo app and vacasa app to figure out where to go, where to find the codes, etc, very confusing. Please update the guest information. It would be nice for the guest to know that the room does provide coffee, papertowels, glasses and some utensils. That is not listed anywhere and nor is it shown in the photos. We packed everything not knowing. The room is nice and the beds are comfortable!
