Starlight Cottage Offers Cozy Getaway Near Mill Creek, Snohomish, & Woodinville

My husband Brick and I moved to Mill Creek in 1998 and really enjoy sharing the beautiful area with friends and family. In 2016 we remodeled a portion of the upstairs of our “barn” into our first VRBO property (#926649); it was a fun and challenging project. We paid attention to the details because we wanted to make it a place WE would love to stay. We had such a "barn" good time with our first short term rental property, in 2018 we opened a second, larger rental home across the street (#1431120).

We really love hosting, but do have a few other interests! My husband Brick is a software engineer. He completed restoration of his 1938 Chevy at the age of 21 and helped his father restore classic Dodges and raced them across the country 5 times in the Great American Race. Connie worked in high tech marketing for 12 years and ran an interior design business after having children. She is currently involved in running our nearby wedding venue and the day-to-day operations of our rentals. We are parents of two beautiful humans and on the weekend you might see us out and about watering or working in the yard (it is a big job!). We look forward to meeting you!

PLEASE NOTE: after listing our Rustic Chic Cottage in 2018 we made the fast track to achieve Premier Host status with VRBO. We have maintained this status and have 100% 5 Star ratings. In 2022 we opened a summer wedding venue nearby and reserved The Cottage for the bridal party and family to get ready in during events- which meant fewer bookings through VRBO. As a result, we did not meet the VRBO requirements for bookings in a 3-month period to maintain our Premier Host status. Please know that despite not meeting this numeric (and algorithmic) goal, we are still Premier Hosts at heart and will do everything possible to insure a comfortable and memorable stay.

Connie spent 10 years making homes beautiful professionally, and now she spends a lot of time making our properties special. Each room is "curated" with harmonious and unexpected pieces designed for comfort, joy, and beauty.

Our setting is also unique; we offer a quiet rural setting (no stoplights or crowded streets), with all the business necessities located 10 minutes away in downtown Mill Creek. Every day delivers a quiet and beautiful getaway from the stresses of visiting, working and navigating the city. Starlight Cottage is truly the best of both worlds!
