Come, relax, and enjoy a beautiful lake front cottage located on the quiet cove of Taw Caw Creek. This 3 Bedroom home is a perfect spot for families, fishermen, or anyone who wishes to have fun in a lovely lake front setting. Bring your boat and enjoy your own private landing & newly built floating dock with lighted pier! Perfect for sunbathing, fishing, or just relaxing.

Fishing tournament stay

Excellent location and parking for trucks and trailers. We had 4 tournament rigs parked without an issue. Great place to stay and great location.

Perfect Santee Cooper Stay

House is as described. Very roomy. Plenty of parking for boats. Super convenient boat ramp. Will definitely stay here again and recommend.

Nice lakehouse getaway!

Beautiful property, perfect place to go out on the boat & pull our kids on the tube. The house is spacious and pretty well kept. The host was very responsive leading up to our stay and answered all inquiries. We plan on staying here again!

good time

we had a great time. It was a quiet and peaceful time. If i was to say anything about the property is the kitchen did not have very much counter space. The deck needs some work. other than that, it was fine.

Great small home

We enjoyed everything from the pier to the house. Great for those who need a pier to dock their boats. Quite area. We felt we were by ourselves most of the time. Very relaxing. The host was very responsive. We will go back.

Favorite lake vacation ever

Pictures don’t do the property justice This was perfect for my 83 year old mom since it didn’t have stairs and the yard to the dock was level. We will come back and for my husband and girls to.love it makes this extra awesome! Thank you Charla!

Great place for bass fisherman

Very clean place, great view, great communication with owner. I fished the Bassmaster Open and the house is located directly across from John C Land ramp. The house has a private ramp and it is a great ramp. No issue backing in or launching a 21ft boat. House and land can hold maybe 3-4 trucks and bass boats. The overhang is nice for protection, I have a F250 with rod rack and need 96in of clearance and I could clear it easy. The neighborhood is nice and everyone is friendly. Remember to bring your own sheets, towels, and toilet paper. Walmart is a bit away. Would 1000% stay here again!

Less than impressed

It doesn’t look anything like the pictures. It was absolutely filthy and there was mold and mildew everywhere. There is also a bug problem in the house. The rooms smelled of a VERY foul odor. The “screened porch” was ripped apart with the screens just floating in the wind. The rear deck is warped in multiple places and is a major hazard. The grass was up to our knees. The fridge was rusty and so were the kitchen appliances. The interior of the house itself was grossly unclean. The couches were so nasty we had to put sheets over them just to sit on. Don’t even get me started on the rugs throughout the home. The rug in the dining area had a dead cockroach embedded in it. The house has a lot of potential but needs a lot of love.

Very disappointed

I have never gave a bad review , but I feel like people should know the condition of this property especially if you have allergies, asthma or don’t want to take roaches home with you!! We arrived on Monday and the property had a strong musky smell ,we went to Walmart and bought some sprays to try and help.Later that night we turned the lights out and started to watch TV when I saw roaches run from under the furniture my husband was only able to smash one of them the others ran back under the furniture .We immediately backed everything back in the truck we couldn’t t fine a place stay since it was late at night so we slept in the truck all night!!We were told by the owner they are only palmetto roaches (please look them up) they are big roaches!! And she would have them sprayed,well I know you can’t get rid of them overnight I wasn’t about to bring with home with me!!! I have no ideal how this house has the rating it has, I could list serval other things wrong!!

We are so sorry that you elected to shorten your stay. We pride ourselves on maintaining a clean home and providing our guest with a wonderful vacation experience. I wish that I had been contacted immediately so I would have had the opportunity to address your concerns. We inspected the house after you vacated and only saw one dead roach, no live insects were noted. I also had an exterminator come out to and inspect and treat the property. Their report found no infestation of roaches or other bugs. We did request that they spray the interior and exterior for preventative pest control. I am truly disappointed that our house did not meet your expectations and you were unable to stay.

Check in was easy. The home is older and has great picture windows of lake. The windows are painted shut in the bedrooms, however. The kitchen stock is good; also older. The yard is beautiful and the deck is also. Very nice to sit out and watch wildlife. The hauling of garbage was okay for us but if you don't have room to haul, it could be a problem.

My Fishing Trip

My buddies and I have stayed here a hand full of times over the years for fishing tournaments and the place never let's us down. It has a boat ramp and a dock, which is perfect for boaters/fisherman. The owner is very pleasant to communicate with and I'll be coming back in the near future. Scott P.

Wonderful memories made!

Can't say enough about the host. What a wonderful vacation we had. Clean a view to die for! And the host definitely go's above and beyond for her guests...we would definitely stay again and we recommend anyone else to stay as well.

Absolutely beautiful property

Our stay was one of the very best summer rentals yet. The view was terrific, the dock was a real treat and the house and accommodations were great. The boat ramp was very easy to access and get the boat in and out with ease. Good fishing right from the dock....................

Beautiful!

Very nice property. Pictures don't do it justice. Very retro with tile and such but really kept up. Great communication. Lake is beautiful to swim in. Only 55 miles to Charleston. Lots of fun day trips available. Nearby is an Indian Burial site which is on the lake as well as a funky UFO Welcome Center in Bowman, SC. We brought a picnic lunch and did a drive by of site and then a block or so away is a great little shaded pavilion park with overhead fans to keep you cool while you picnicked.

Great lot, however...

My family of three enjoyed the lake, location at a great setup right on the lake. The boat ramp and dock could not have been better. The house was handy and good, but privacy was an issue. The bedroom blinds were pretty much see through from the outside looking in. Considering the price of the rental we felt that linens and towels should have been provided. We did have to wash the mattress cover before use, the blanket that was spread over master bed looked like it was clean but severely soiled. Kitchen drawers were not highly functional, and kitchen utensils we felt need an upgrade. It just seemed like the house was severely budgeted but we feel like we payed a champagne price. The host was over the top helpful, and very responsive. She has a tough job and I appreciated her efforts in helping us. We would stay again, but would need to negotiate our expense considering you have to pack up your own house to come and stay at this place. Would love to own this place to give it some love. Overall I liked the property and the host.
